Just getting caught up here. We’ve certainly appeared to have improved our coaching staff on D and ST, which was needed. Let’s hope it provides more Wins
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
I might call him RV on occasion, or Buddy cuz that’s how we do it ‘round here, but never Bubba.
And no, these new co-ordinators weren’t hired with any thought to one or both putting pressure on the HC. The FO would just fire him if it felt an assistant might make the HC better
pshff. I just now heard the Browns had to do the roonie rule to interview other people to hire Ray Ventrone, I thought he was African American. For the life of me I don't know how anyone is supposed to know what race anyone is and therefore how the roonie rule works or is supposed to.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
Bubba talked about bringing in Phil Dawson and Josh Cribbs to visit during his presser. Then this came across my twitter feed:
Definitely think that guy could have some good advice for our returners. Probably not a bad idea to show the blocking to the rest of the return team members, either.

Joe Cribbs helped coach the return units last year in training camp, IIRC.

Eazy-E was one of favorite players!
Awesome! That move on Cbass was priceless. I didn't realize he had so many TD returns vs the steelers.

I remember when my daughter and I attended a game against Minnesota and our offense was so pathetically inept that day that we started hoping the Vikings would kick a FG and then would have to kick off to Cribbs because that was our best chance to score a TD.
I was at the game here in Baltimore in 2007 when Dawson hit the stanchion and it was finally, and correctly, ruled a FG to send it to OT. The kick return by Cribbs was that man willing us down the field to try and get the win. One of my favorite returns by him and never shown in the highlights.

I was in the opposite end zone from the kick to go to overtime. When it was called a miss the Ravens' fans got quite mouthy. Then called good and they all sensed the doom coming and sit down. Cribbs did his thing, the offense did enough, Dawson!
