The Masters just started this morning. Could be Tiger's last? He has hinted at it being one of his last. Can Rory win and complete his grand slam? Can Scotty Scheffler repeat? I do think the top 3 in the World #1 Scheffler, #2 Jon Rahm, and #3 Rory are the favorites but you never know. Who are you rooting for? I just hope no LIV golfer wins. I am actually hoping the LIV tour golfers have a really bad showing. They probably won't but I can hope anyway. I guess I am would like to see Rory win the career grand slam.
Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
LIV golfers don't bother me. I'll always like Phil and a few others.
As for a winner. ?? Sheffler is bad tough. He seems to be a guy who is always going to be somewhere in there, and if you do that, you have a chance...so I pick him.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Augusta is about an hour away from where we live. We have the same plants and trees. The weather is almost identical. It usually passes through them first and then us because the prevailing winds are typically coming from the southwest. It's going to be warm today. Around 90. Friday and Saturday looks bad. Cold temperatures and rain. The wind will be blowing a bit harder than normal. None of that is good news for any of the golfers, but it's going to be very tough for Tiger.
Good about Tiger. Never been a fan, but that is another story.
Weather can bring in guys from right field.
Maybe 10 years now, my son was in a local bar for lunch. He started talking to the guy next to him. The talk turned to golf. My son said something about always wanting to play at Augusta. The guy said he played there, even won the tournament. LOL....turns out it was Mike Weir. His caddie lives here in Chattanooga and he was there to visit after the champions dinner.
One of those out of nowhere winners.

There were actually two that fell.....side by side. Thankfully no one is hurt. People could hear them cracking and moved out of the way. Some, just barely.
Supposed to be chilly but dry tomorrow...hopefully they'll be able to finish tomorrow...
It is calling for clearing by afternoon. Not exactly sure where things stand in the 3rd round, but it looks like everything will happen as planned. Sundown isn't until around 8PM, so there should be plenty of light until at least 7:15 or so.

Yesterday, in the Columbia, SC area, was the crappiest day in April that I can remember since we moved here. It rained almost all day. It was cold. It was windy. Again, our weather is pretty much identical to Augusta's. It's sunny this morning w/a bit of a breeze. It's cold.
Happy for Jon Rahm. He played great and even had to play Friday night until weather delayed the tournament for his 2nd round. Awesome performance.

Koepka couldn’t get anything going Sunday (finished up his third round without a birdie and went a bunch of holes without one in the fourth round. You can’t win that way at Augusta, too many birdie holes there for other guys to take advantage of).
No one put any serious pressure on Rahm, he avoided the big mistakes and was in cruise control, really.
