A Drag Queen Topped the iTunes Christian Music Chart
A drag queen currently has an album at the top of iTunes’ Christian chart, and her witty clapback to a homophobic pastor rocketed her there.
In June, drag performer Flamy Grant appeared in the music video for Christian musician Derek Webb’s song “Boys Will Be Girls,” an ode to queer Christians who have been shut out of their churches. Over the course of the video, Grant gives Webb a drag makeover, complete with a stunning blue wig.
The duo sing the final lines together inside a church worship space: “I heard Jesus loved and spent his life with those who / were abandoned by proud and fearful men / So if a church won’t celebrate and love you / they’re believing lies that can’t save you or them / ’cause you’re so beautiful by any name.”
Unfortunately, some Christians didn’t take the song’s message to heart, namely fellow Christian singer and “MAGA preacher” Sean Feucht, who recently took to Twitter to criticize Webb for being a “deconstructionist,” a term some evangelicals use to refer to Christians who reconsider their faith and give up traditional beliefs they now see as immoral, sometimes even leaving the church entirely.
“If you’re wondering the end goal of the deconstruction movement in the church, then look no further than former worship leader @derekwebb’s new collab with a drag queen,” Feucht tweeted alongside a photo of Webb and Grant together. “These are truly the last days.”
Ironically, Webb has never served as a worship leader, a role Grant served in for 22 years.
Grant soon replied to Feucht’s tweet, writing: “End goal? Baby we’re just getting started. 😘”
“Well good for us hardly anyone listens or cares what you do,” Feucht wrote back. “Bad for you is that one day you’ll sit before Jesus and give an account for the perversion you tried to force on kids.”
Rather than silencing her, Feucht’s tweets inspired Grant to aim for a new milestone: Getting her song “Good Day” to No. 1.
“Sean Feucht thinks hardly anyone is interested in a drag queen,” Grant wrote on social media. “Good Day deserves a spot on the #christianmusic charts, dontcha think?”
Fans made her goal come true and then some. “Good Day” briefly hit the top spot on the Christian iTunes chart on July 27. At the time of this writing, the song sits at No. 12. Meanwhile, Grant’s album Bible Belt Baby currently sits at the very top of the iTunes Christian album chart. Turns out people are more than happy to hear a drag queen’s music, thank you very much!
In an Instagram post celebrating the news, Grant gave a shout out to everyone who helped her achieve her goal: “A community of people who wholeheartedly and full-throatedly reject the notion that Christian faith has to look like the fearful, petty, weak evangelicalism that demonizes so many people and dominates too much of life in the US.”
If they would just stop lying and come out, I’d bet a fair percentage of the Trumpian MAGA crowd are secret drag queens and self hating lgbtq people. And ChRiStIaN Churches are full of them too. So sad living a lie, no matter the lie.

Stephen Miller’s legal group sues Target over LGBTQ Pride collection backlash
A conservative legal nonprofit led by Stephen Miller is suing Target on behalf of one of the company’s investors, saying it should have anticipated public backlash to its LGBTQ Pride displays in June.
America First Legal — founded by Miller, a former senior adviser to former President Trump — claims the company misrepresented the adequacy of its risk monitoring after its Pride month campaign led to employee harassment, bomb threats and a conservative online hate campaign.
The company’s stock dropped by nearly 20 percent after the backlash began in May.
The investor leading the suit, Brian Craig, owns about $28,000 worth of company stock which he purchased in April 2022. He claims to have lost close to half of his total investment.
The suit attacks the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, both of which have become ripe political targets for conservatives.
Craig argues those policies allowed the company to “serve its divisive political and social goals — and ultimately lose billions,” the suit reads.
“Defendants knew their ESG and DEI mandates were a double-edged sword that risked backlash,” the suit says.
Target ran its first Pride month collection in 2011 and is one of the major retail industry’s more vocal supporters of the LGBTQ community. The collections, which have grown over time, sparked only minor criticism before this year.
Conservatives organized boycotts of Target, vandalized stores, and eventually forced some Target stores to take Pride month merchandise off shelves. That decision was criticized by those who support the LGBTQ community.
Hate against the LGBTQ community increased significantly in recent years, according to watchdog groups. The Anti-Defamation League tracked more than 350 anti-LGBTQ incidents between June 2022 and April 2023.
FBI hate crime data released this spring found that hate crimes against LGBTQ people increased by more than 50 percent from 2020 to 2021, the most recent year data is available.
The new lawsuit requests that the court overthrow the company’s board of directors and compensate Craig for his lost investment.
Reuters reported Wednesday that Miller’s group is also asking for an investigation into Kellogg Co, alleging its workplace diversity policies are unlawful.

I think if one looks at it objectively there are far more white people applying that already have management experience on their resume' who don't need management training to qualify for those positions.
