Doh, I just realized that I gave a bunch of options at Safety instead of Cornerback.

So, instead of Samuel, consider Marcus Trufant, Drayton Florence, Quentin Jammer or Charles Tillman. Obviously Trufant would be tops of that list, probably Tillman would be next, the others are good, but not great. I might actually want Trufant over Samuels. I remember the hype about Trufant coming out of college and I think he has generally lived up to his billing and draft status. He would be worth signing.

OUCH...I wouldn't touch any of these Corners...U think the Baxter deal was dumb???...

We accomplished pounding one trench...Time for the other one...

Just as we're witnessing some of this youth maturing and gelling...We'll see the same thing with this young secondary...Just thinking Bodden & Jones are the VETS back there blows my mind...

U start stopping the running game with your front 7...And not having to bring that Safety up...U start producing some pressure in the backfield and opening up the defensive playbook and this secondary will start to shine...

I completely agree, though I do think Trufant would be good...just not at Baxter or (god forbid) Nate Clements type money. That said, with the way we seem to be developing our secondary, if we can get the front 7 squared away, I don't think we need to add anything except perhaps a Day 2 pick to keep the depth going.
