we could really use him

not looking for sympathy here, but the Steelers had a rough time last Sunday and I don't expect them to win Monday night either. Just hope it isn't as ugly as the SF game.

Steelers injuries.

Cam Heyward having surgery - out for 8 weeks probably
Diontae Johnson - #1 receiver, out for probably 6 weeks

also injured not sure about their status
Miles Boykin - WR
Chuks Okorafor, - concussion, OT

Thanks for the updates! Never like to see injuries to players (especially ours!). Seems like a lot of injuries early on this year. Hope we stay very healthy. Looking forward to Monday night.

It'd be nice if they'd go ahead and put Diontae on IR, so I can know what to do with him on my fantasy team.

I don't know if it will make you feel any better, but I think it would be hard for Pickett to play that poorly again.

I think Diontae will be out 1-2 weeks, but not on IR

#Browns S Juan Thornhill returned to practice today, a huge step in his return for MNF.

This is why I could never play fantasy football. The thought of rooting for any Steeler (or raven, or Bengal, or many other teamโ€™s players) to play well, goes 100% against all internal Brownsโ€™ fandom within me. If D Johnson never steps foot on the field again, and Kenny Pickett never completes another pass to a WR on his team I only have happy feelings. You on the other hand have to root for these guys in black and mustard to play well. Yuck. Makes my skin crawl just considering it.

Yeah, definitely try to avoid picking them, but sometimes gotta go with the value.

I don't actually have to root for them. I can take some solace when they do well that at least they got me points. And when they suck, well, that's as it should be. Plus, I'd prefer not to lose to them in fantasy.

If they help me win and their team loses, it's not a bad feeling. Feels like they'll be losing a lot this year. It's early, though.

ITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers got some good news on their injury report as tight end Pat Freiermuth became a full participant after being limited to start the week due to a chest injury.

Freiermuth suffered the chest injury in-game against the 49ers and was expected to be ready to play by Week 2. It appears he's fully cleared as the team looks to close out the week.

As for the rest of the injures, the Steelers are still dealing with five. Anthony McFarland (knee), Diontae Johnson (hamstring) and Larry Ogunjobi (foot) did not practice, while Chuks Okorafor (concussion) and James Daniels (ankle) were limited.

McFarland missed the last two days of practice because of his knee injury. It's unknown what the issue is or how serious it is right now. If he's unable to go, Pittsburgh will rely on Calvin Austin as a kick returner and possibly practice squad running back Qadree Ollison as their third-string runner.

Ogunjobi has been dealing with a foot injury since the beginning of the preseason, but was active in Week 1. He was a limited participant in the team's first practice before being downgraded to a non-participant.

Okorafor continues to work through concussion protocol with hopes of being cleared by the game. If not, the Steelers will rely on Broderick Jones to take over as the right tackle, with Dan Moore Jr. staying on the left side.

Daniels has been limited throughout the week after being seen in a walking boot the day after the 49ers game.

Johnson is expected to miss up to four weeks, with no return to practice in sight after his hamstring injury.

Seamulo had a veteran's day off.

Source: #Browns WR Amari Cooper, who tweaked his groin this weekend in practice and was listed as questionable, will be active tonight vs. the #Steelers. A big lift.

Amari Cooper will be active for the #Browns tonight against the #Steelers. So, too, will be safety Juan Thornhill. Their inactive list: CB Kahlef Hailassie, S Ronnie Hickman, C Luke Wypler, DE Isaiah McGuire, DT Siaki Ika

Fingers crossed Cooper doesn't aggravate the groin and cause him to miss significant time as opposed to sitting this one out.

Maybe he'll just be a decoy on the field, more or less?
