I took Houston +6 over the Bengals and now it is Houston +7.

Maybe I fell victim to the recency bias bubble.

Steelers get another easy-ish home game: Green Bay

Cincy is rolling, but that will be high scoring I bet

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yeah, I'm not sure if I'd feel comfortable on that one or not. Cinci has been playing much better recently. DJ Reader might be a problem for a banged up Houston interior OL.

And with the already existing Chase back injury?

The last sentence is curious to me considering he is in the final year of his contract with a hamstring injury.

well, the Panthers vs Bears game was certainly one of the games of the season

I hope the Raiders beat the jets tonight, you can not have too much good fortune.

You want the raiders to win and the jets to lose
would give them both five losses.

I haven't heard of any player on the Raiders tonight except Josh Jacobs,

I know the Jets @uaterback is bad, hopefully he can make a bad play and lose it to give the raiders the win.

the Jags Texans, dolphins, Ravens and Chiefs are probably going to get into the playoffs, +2,

now for any AFC North team to also get in, they have to either overtake the RAven for the AFC North div title, and or
fight with any other team for the other wild card spots

There are two ways to knock a team out of a wild card spot which you hope Your own team will @ualify for,
one is to finish better than them,

the other is to remove them from that wild card spot because they get shoved up, into either their own div. winner spot, the afc east, or afc west, or afc south, , or to shove them up into the division winner spot of your own div. the afc north.

At this point there are basically five teams, plus anyone who falls off of the teams up there^, i.e. if Jax were to lose 3 out of 4 or something,
b/c the analytic shows Jax is meant to lose one of their next two...
five teams fighting for 2 spots, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland>or Baltimore whoever doesn't finish at the top of the div, or Pitt ... that's 3 teams , the the pitt/ Cleveland/ Baltimore that gets 3rd place, that's 4 teams then
whoever = best of Buffalo, the NY Jets and the Broncos, that's a fifth team fighting for that 2nd wild card spot and
then,
don't forget the team that may end up with it after all, the colts,

so you want to stay ahead of all of those teams at this point, and don't forget, you only have 3 ways to make the playoffs because at this point you can't take the top 2 teams of the other 3 AFC north teams and figure that even if you Win the div, that at least one of the other afc north teams won't be at least good enough to get the 3rd wild card spot in the afc, which would mean
you have either to win the div, or 2 of the 3 wc spots to shove other div's 2nd place team into . but not 3 of the 3 wc spots available to you because Jax, Hou, Balt, Pitt, and Miami, = too many by number to have all of them either win a div. or miss the playoffs altogether, add cincy and buffalo and indy,
You just have to keep winning your games, you're in a good spot ahead of most, but can't let up, it's like a nascar race.

Texans looking the part with C.J. Stroud at QB. The kid is looking the part. And who is that Josh Dobbs kid? He's been in Chicago for 13 days now with 2 wins under his belt. It seems like somebody would have hung onto the kid before now.

Yes, Berry got a fifth round pick for him and as it looks right now Minnesota was smart enough to give a fifth round pick for him. It seems like a good choice for both teams as long as watson stays healthy.

I wonder when Allen is gonna start catching some heat for the sloppy play he’s had this season.

Anyone else notice, how the Broncos seem to be trying to copycat the Browns recipe for success?
With less talent and worse results of course.

Allen is not smart. Twice he threw into triple coverage tonight, his second INT was head-scratchingly stupid. Ken Dorsey will likely get fired soon, if only to give McDermott a scapegoat, a la Botch and fazio.

Bills lost?! ... man, they are REAL close to being done for the season. They are 5-5 and all of their losses are in the AFC. Their schedule remaining is brutal: NYJ, NE, MIA, DAL, KC, PHI, LAC

That loss by them really improves our wild card hopes

Normally I never watch full games of other teams.

I may watch a half or so unless the game is looking really close and interesting.

Thursday Ravens Bengals. I am on that game. This is a must win for the Bengals. Their season could be toast with a loss.

Ravens are coming off a very physical game against the Browns. You know there are bruises from that game.

Playing on Thursday is not going to be easy for either team after losing tough games on Sunday.

This is about which team has the heart and drive to win.

I will be watching closely.

I couldn't imagine trying to play in the Browns/Ravens game ... and then suit up less than 100 hours later

I go back in forth in my mind about which team will win that game, but I lean towards Baltimore

If I'm the NFL, I want the Bengals to win this one and knot up the AFC North completely (until Sunday). It provides the best drama and helps to keep our Week 18 game with the Bengals relevant. If they're effectively out of it by then, it doesn't mean as much.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Bills fire Ken Dorsey

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said last week that he had given no consideration to firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, but that view changed in the wake of Monday night’s 24-22 loss to the Broncos.

The Bills announced on Tuesday that they have fired Dorsey. Quarterbacks coach Joe Brady will take over the coordinator role on an interim basis.

Dorsey was promoted from quarterbacks coach to the coordinator job after Brian Daboll left to become the Giants head coach in 2022. The team finished second in points last year and they are eighth in the league this season, but they have lost four of six games and have killed much of the offensive momentum they do generate by turning the ball over 18 times.

Brady became the Panthers offensive coordinator under Matt Rhule after helping build a potent LSU offense around Joe Burrow, but, like Dorsey, was fired before the end of his second season. He joined the Bills staff last season and will now be tasked with putting Josh Allen and the rest of the offense on a trajectory that can get them back to the playoffs.
