No, it's more of a black, unless they salted and then it coats your car a nice shade of gray. Kinda like the Buckeyes uniform pants, I like it! GO BUCKEYES! WOOOO yeah winter slop!!
Our honor defend, we will fight to the end, for OHIO! GO BUCKS!

I have lived in a variety of places, and it is what you make of it.
The further north you live, the more you have to deal with the cold and snow.
The further south you live the more you have to deal with hot and humid summers.
I live on the California coast, last year we had a real bad frost and I lost a lot of plants in my yard. In reality, I tell people that it is sunny california, not warm. The ocean water is just plain cold, and rarely goes above 70 degress. I go to other places if I want to be in warm water. But the coolness of the water keeps the humidity and temperatures low. In the summertime it is actually cooler than I would prefer, however if you move inland than it is too hot.
I can't really see me moving back to the midwest, and have no idea why someone would live in Minnesota.
There are other places that that I have lived where the spring breaks sooner than April, and summer ends later than August, and I enjoyed the shorter winter.
I guess the way that I look at it, was in Ohio, you spend six months trying to stay warm, whereas in Texas, you spend the same time trying to keep cool.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Haven't turned the air on but once since Thansgiving and twice I've turned the heat on for an hour or so. Temps range from upper 40s at night to upper 70s during the day.
If it's in the upper 70's you can bet your butt my air would be running.

Jules "...You want a medal for living in Florida or something? The way you brag about living there all the time you would think you invented the place. "
I spent the first 55 years of my life within 400 miles of Cleveland,OH. The last 2 in Florida on the Gulf Coast. Jules, I brag about it because it was our dream and now our reality. Other than being away from the Browns and Tribe I have few regrets. The weather is mild year round and the hurricane season has been non existent these 2 years...average winter temp in 65-with little or no accumulation of slush or mud- since the soil is sandy rather than dirt.

How many of you would chose 32 degrees over 72 degrees?
I would. Not all year long, mind you, but I do like the different seasons. Glad you like Texas....you can keep it.
I enjoy waking up on Christmas morning and not sweating. It's nice to have snow some time during the year. The fall air gives way to great football weather. And it doesn't hit 100 unbearable degrees in the summer. I have no interest in moving south at all.

I'm thinking about relocating to North Carolina after I graduate. Not on the coast, but further inland, Greensboro or Asheville perhaps. I went down there for a couple weeks this summer, and just fell in love with the place. Weather comparable to SE Tenn Peen?
Further south than that, I dont think its for me. I like the change in seasons. I also am not a fan of being really hot all the time. You can only take so much off, but can always put more on.
I dont mind the Ohio weather, but Ohio itself is 2 different climates. The northern half of the state is much colder than the southern half in the winter. (I'm from southeastern Ohio, but go to school in kent). Combine that with the lake, and northern Ohio experiences alot more winter than the southern part. It's still fun to play in the snow...I couldn't live somewhere where my kids NEVER got the opportunity to experience it.

DawgMichelle- I have a lot more ass to show but generally reserve that for more nasty but equally grumpy posters.
I only take issue with you when you appear as part of a tandem/three-way tagteam to gang up on an individual poster's position. Maybe I am jealous of the quick response team that you have assembled...maybe not!

That's the thing...you always think there's some sort of gang mentality when in fact, two or three people happen to be online at the same time. We don't call each other up and say, "Hurry, Ralphie's here -- GET HIM"!
Regardless, you seem to always try to make gay remarks or have some crappy comments about women to make. It's pretty clear you don't like those two groups of people, and that's your right. It's just that the comments are getting old, that's all I'm saying.

"Woman, Thou doth Protest too Much"
C'mon DMichelle---I haven't mentioned sexual preferences of posters in a long long time. I could not really care whether several of our female Brown's fan posters are gay or not...some things simply appear to be. To deny the "circling of the wagons" occurances is futile...but it's your world.

LMAO, Texas is crap for weather. If I'm going to be jealous of a person's weather, which some around here think we should all be, it sure as hell isn't going to be Texas.
Jules, how many times have you been to Texas and was your visit to the south Texas Gulf Coast?
For those that have no idea, Texas is so big you can have everything that Ohio offers to everything Tennesee offers to everything Florida offers as far as weather.
Those of you who say it is too hot have no idea. The Gulf waters keep us cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
The Gulf waters at this time of year run about 60 degrees and for you California people the water warms to the upper 80s to about 90 in the summer.
Also Corpus Christi has not been hit by any hurrrican since the early 70s so no it is not a big concern!
In fact there has probably been a tornado in your area of Ohio since the early 70s, right!
Just wait till next season, I have heard that for over 40 years!
