If you care to read the decision, they address all his involvement that day and the fallout of which and how it fits into being an insurrectionist. They also use multiple definitions of the word to bolster their finding, including in various historical contexts.

Nobody is lying accept those making excuses for a former president who led and orchestrated an insurrection. They have taken their leaders cue and blame everyone else for the things he has done. The former party of personal responsibility now has none.

FBI looking into surge in threats against Colorado justices who ruled Trump can't be on primary ballot

The FBI is "working with local law enforcement," the agency said.

The FBI has gotten involved following a surge in violent threats against the Colorado Supreme Court justices who ruled earlier this week that former President Donald Trump was disqualified from appearing on the 2024 primary ballot.

“The FBI is aware of the situation and working with local law enforcement,” the agency said in a statement to ABC News. “We will vigorously pursue —investigations of any threat or use of violence committed by someone who uses extremist views to justify their actions regardless of motivation.”

The threats to the justices come as Lisa Monaco, the number two ranking official at the Justice Department, told ABC News in an exclusive interview for “This Week” that in an extremely challenging terror threat environment – threats against public officials are also spiking to levels never before seen.

“Well, what we've seen is an unprecedented rise in threats to public officials across the board: law enforcement agents, prosecutors, judges and election officials. And we are seeing that and responding to it,” she said.

Monaco said this week alone, the FBI is investigating “cases involving threats to kill FBI agents, a Supreme Court justice, and three presidential candidates.”

But you are right, he was never charged because he didn’t need to be charged to be disqualified. If our government was a giant crane game, Trump would have been removed from the board on the evening of Jan. 6th, 2020. This may come as a shock to you, but it was 6 republicans and one independent that sued to have Trump removed from the ballot. Not one Democrat in sight. The State Supreme court sided with them.

I suspect that this corrupt SCOTUS will side with Trump. Given that two of the Justices are on the take from wealthy donors and one of those two is married to a woman that tried to help Trump overturn a legit election.

For the record, the 14th amendment, section 3 is clear as a bell. Trump broke that and should not ever be allowed to run again. Same with Matt Gaitz, Jim Jordan, Bobert, and Green. (and plenty others)

Section 3 says " to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof".

I guess the Colorado Supremes have decided he did in fact engage, even if the facts aren't clear if he did. I understand the feeling part, but that is far from proof.

That is a big step to disqualify a person who received around 1.4 million votes in the state in the last election.
