Wrong. Mostly MAGA snowflakes aren’t watching anymore. They can’t stand watching their god and his followers shown looking like the pompous fools they are.

That must be it. All this time I thought it was because that show hadn't been all that funny for two decades.

I thought you hadn't been watching it? How could you know that a show you aren't watching isn't funny? You didn't think the sneakers skit was funny?

That was good. They both did good impressions.

I willingly admit that how funny SNL has been has had its ebbs and flows. They change cast members and writers with great frequency. As such there have been seasons that certainly haven't been as good as others. But over the past 20 years there have been many seasons that have been very funny. That's why making a claim that "it hasn't been all that funny for two decades" is such nonsense. As of now both the writers and cast I find to be very funny.

Yeah, it definitely ebbs and flows. Sometimes it feels like they are forcing it, which it felt like until recently. Other times, they have the right cast and the right chemistry. A lot of it also depends on the hosts. So far this year, they have had a good lineup of hosts overall. Adam Driver may be my favorite. It appears they might be entering into another upswing. Weekend Update is probably what I look forward to most now on a consistent basis. Mikey Day and the Do Not Destroy clips I find consistently funny as well.

I don't think lumping them all into one group is either accurate or fair. I've witnessed many of them do that very same thing for a long time now from the opposite direction and I don't approve of it when they do it either.
