Interesting to see if he's any better than he's been ... because he was bad

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm guessing the contract is small and it's a low risk, high reward kinda thing. Hopefully it pays off.

Maybe a good DC like JS can get production out of him. I'm sure JS was consulted about Bush.

I can't say for sure that is the case but often times a players results on the field are directly correlated with the way he is being used. While I understand there's a huge difference between these two players I'll use JOK as an example. A few of use highly pimped JOK. bonefish most notably. But it was for the skill set and ability he had on the field. As we saw before Shcwartz became the DC, JOK looked as though he wouldn't meet his expectations. He wasn't being used to his strengths. Once Schwartz took over and played him to his physical strengths we saw that potential unleashed. He looked like a totally different player.

All I can say is Schwartz must have seen something in Bush that made him feel that Bush would fit well in his system. So I'm in a wait and see mode here.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I think being further removed from his torn ACL should also help. That really seemed to be a turning point in his career. Hopefully being less able to rely on his athleticism made him improve the mental side of his game, and now that he's back fully healthy it can all come together.

I think you are right.

Schwartz sees something in Bush that will fit. The knock on Bush has been that he is small and unable to shed blocks. It was the same rap on JOK.

Except JOK always had shown the ability to "escape" the blocks. He relied upon instinct and quickness.

Bush will not cost much. Schwartz knows what he wants from him. Hicks already played for Schwartz. So the three linebackers will fit into what Schwartz wants from that group.

I think the coaching staff is well rounded. We have finally gotten to a point where we have real depth at most position groups.

The defense last year was great at times. Schwartz has to get them more consistent especially on the road. We have the talent.

When you look at the roster as a whole. We have a lot of high round picks.

Our LB room is better now than when our season ended. Bush and Hicks will complement JOK better than the guys we had IMO. We've still got Jacob Phillips. I liked him coming out of LSU unfortunately he hasn't been able to stay on the field. If he can stay healthy maybe JS can get some decent production out of him. I'm speculating of course but he does have some ability.

True, but he did leave something back in Ohio.

I believe Phillips is a free agent.

Here is the PFF draft profile for Bush.

Interesting because Schwartz knows how to use the strengths of his players.

Thanks Bull I didn't realize he was a FA. Still, I would have liked to see what he could have done when healthy and with JS as his coach.

Interesting because Schwartz knows how to use the strengths of his players.

This video is from April 2019, just before the 2019 draft.

He had a good rookie season (2019)

In Oct 2020, Bush tore his ACL in the 5th game, done for the rest of the season.

2021 & 2022 Bush failed to achieve his 2019 level of play and the Steelers did not retain him.

2023, Bush looked to be on the Seahawks special teams..did have 1 start..he had 5 tackles for the season.
