Yes, in my opinion, Trump is a bad option, too. How "bad" Trump is has no impact on how "bad" Biden is. They are both independently "bad." Biden being "better" than Trump in no way makes him a good choice. He's simply not the worst choice, while still being less than "good" himself.

Most people love their grandparents. At the same time, most people realize their grandparents wouldn't make a good President. Functionally, the elderly just need help at times. The Presidency is a tough job. The person who holds the office should be at the top of their game. It's a 24/7, 365 job. When one struggles with something one has prepared for, how is he going to handle the unexpected?

With tensions high around the globe (Ukraine/Russia, the Middle East, China/Taiwan, our own borders) I'd prefer steadier hands in the Commander-in-Chief. If his job was just guiding policy and speech giving, that'd be one thing. He's not actually in the legislative branch any more, though. The executive job requires one to make quick decisions in emergent situations. Does that sound like Joe Biden to you?

Explain any logical way anyone other than the two major parties nominees who they endorse can become president in less than six months. First they would need to get on the ballot in 36 states in less than two months and in 11 of those states in less than one month. Explain how you are going to get millions of voters to agree to support for and vote for this single candidate. Explain how in that time frame that candidate could get enough donations and funds to run a national campaign in that short of a time frame.

And not some illogical what if scenarios. Sure, IF everyone would stop voting for trump or biden it might work. But we both know that isn't going to happen in that short of a time period. Nothing about that is realistic. As of now there are 45 million registered democrats and 35.7 million registered Republicans. 32.5 million registered voters identified themselves as independents. If you think these people are suddenly going to abandon their parties or vote for an unknown who they would rightfully feel has no chance to win, the only one you are fooling here is yourself. There is no logical path moving forward in this election for your scenario and you have come up with no logical response for any of this.

I know, I know, according to you anyone pointing out the reality as it relates to the 2024 election must be a sheeple. Because thus far placing a negative label on someone pointing out reality is all you have.

Sorry, my upbringing was of the Proverbs 13:24 "spare not the rod" variety. While I've left the religion behind me and have no delusions of holiness, the methods of instruction are hard to shake. "I'm not doing this to you, I'm doing this for you."

Realistic possibilities are welcome. That's not what you've been doing. The odds of one in a million presents a possibility. Just not a realistic one. Ever day we can create possibilities in our mind. It's possible that one day mankind could evolve into sprouting wings. Even the most remote crazy and convoluted of things exist as a possibility.

Yet by far more of those will never come to pass and have very little odds of ever happening. I asked for a realistic scenario not a long shot possibility. There's quite a difference between the two.

I too was raised in a very religious household. My dad too believed in "Spare the rod, spoil the child". But I was one of the lucky ones. He believed that was a measure of last resort. He believed in warnings and that other forms of discipline be exhausted first. Rarely did it boil down to corporal punishment being the final solution. He was shall I say effective of getting his message across via other methods. But other kids I went to church with were not so lucky. So it may be easier for me to understand than you think.

Considering there are only to options that can win the presidency this year it's better than the convicted turd. I would have used an emoji there but I know that's forbidden. Aw hell, I'm going to do it anyways.
