At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
Still waiting for someone to explain what 'woke' is ....
It's really not that hard to look into it on your own, both its origin and how it's used today.
It just takes a little effort on your part.
That's not the point. The point is that (generally) people that complain the most/loudest about 'woke' can't even explain what it is. They are so deep into the Fox News Outrage machine that they don't even know what it is that they're getting outraged about anymore.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
This is a business that can dry up and die as far as I’m concerned. Done more to further the fascist Trumpian cause than almost any other outlet including fox. And screw the CEO, he can ES&D.

I think you kinda missed the point of my jab. I wasn't saying nobody could speak intelligently on what 'woke' is, or that it wasn't a thing.
I appreciate the second link you posted. I agree with what he said... that was probably the most intelligent explanation I've seen/heard. What I was referring to are the people that watch the first link you posted, pick out the parts they like, and then try (and fail miserably) to parrot what he said. A certain slice of liberals popularized this early on, but the Right has recently embraced woke'ism, adding the extra layer of hypocrisy on top of everything.

100%.
Wokism is now just a catchall used indiscriminately. At the end of the day it's BS. If you have anissue with something or someone, spell it out. Saying its "woke" is a cop out and very weak and really means diddly.
It's sort of like when the Right Wing Media started labeling the Left as being engaged in cancel culture when no-one has called for more boycotts and cancelling than Trump and his cronies.
Say a thing enough times in an echo chamber and it sticks.
The left is woke
The left are all about cancel culture
The republicans are the party of law and order
The republicans are for small government
Mantras that some hear all the time in thier echo chambers and believe without having a scooby doo.

The more things change the more they stay the same.
Don't forget about the shtick with facists and nazis.
I agree with you on this one, more often than not.

I agree with you. Especially the part I put in bold. It's overused and seems to come up about almost everything the right does. Which tends to make it lose its impact the times it actually applies.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I keep forgetting, if it wasn't a state at the time the constitution was written it doesn't count. Never mind that people were already there at that time. They weren't "officially people".

Native Americans were not considered official people. I don’t think mountain/hill folk met the standard for that at the time either. Just being honest.
There were settlers in non colonies like Kentucky and other parts of the country before the idea of states as well. Or is that part of history you didn't know?

And yet they were not part of the The Old South.
Tell ya what. Next time you think you need to correct my speech stick your head in the toilet and flush. It will be as effective.
You would be correct that toilets listen just as well as you do.
"The Constitution of the United Colonies"
Why is it you feel some need to get nasty? I mean I don't really care because I can get down in the mud with the best of them. But for a certain group of you it seems to be some tangent to head straight to the gutter. Maybe that's why you came up with your toilet remark.
You can do better.
