The incident escalated when Hall "retrieved one of his two handguns," according to the report. The exact model was identified as "either a .40 caliber Glock 23 or a 9mm Smith & Wesson M&P Shield"
Hall, the report states, "pressed the firearm against her temple and threatened, 'I will (expletive) end it all. I don't care."
The two women fled outside of the house, where they contacted the police. Hall then, according to the report, "locked the women out of the residence and fled the scene in his vehicle."
The reporting officer stated in the report that they "observed several indicators of a physical altercation." That included a damaged bedroom door frame and a hole in a bedroom door. Two handguns, identified as "a Glock and a Smith & Wesson," were "lying on the mattress in the game room."
According to the police report the evidence in this case is quite solid. Often time it's not nearly this clear cut. You are right that it will depend on the girlfriend continuing to be a witness to what happened. But without her backing out this thing looks pretty damning simply based on the evidence cited in the police report. It will be a tough case for him to ever beat IMO. And hopefully, if he's guilty he won't beat the case.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
His fiance, daughter, and the mother of the fiance all have a lot to lose if the paychecks stop.
The Browns and the NFL will likely suspend him no matter. They don't need a trial.
If there is an out where he gets help and there is a path to continue his football career. The Browns do not want to throw away their investment in Hall.
He is a good prospect. This will be looked at closely.

That would mean it would have been in their best interest if they never would have reported this in the first place. Obviously they knew once this was reported and headed to the court system the paychecks would stop.

Sadly you may be right but I doubt it. I mean this isn't exactly a watson situation they have on their hands here where damned near anything will be overlooked.

Can I just say .. what an idiot. I am so diappointed in him. I hope he gets the help he obviously needs, probably while he's in jail.

upsetting news to read this afternoon ... I really hope it's not as it appears/reports
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It’s amazing, even after it has happened many, many times, how guys who may have come from bad backgrounds can put themselves in a position to change their lives, then potentially destroy what they worked for.
Charged with a misdemeanor and released, sounds to me like maybe the gun part wasn't accurate. You put a gun to someones head, you're not getting a misdemeanor. Going to have to wait and see.

I would suggest he get some intense counselling and not keep guns around the house. He is too immature to have a gun handy, if you believe the reports. Geez, can just anybody buy a Glock these days?
Mike Florio is saying that some teams had big enough reservations about the guy they took him off their draft boards. First I’m hearing that, had no idea. I don’t see how he doesn’t get suspended for at least some time. Pointed gun at woman, dragged her down a hall, arrested… oof. Shame to, we need him in rotation this year.

Does counselling ever work or is it just a popular buzzword? I would say that everybody needs to have a gun in the house if they are legal.
No, not anybody can buy a handgun. Minors can't and convicted felons can't. Proven lunatics can't. After that, the 2nd Amendment covers everybody else.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
I don't like hearing that some teams had taken him off their board - well never know the validity of that, but still

As it is, he'll fit in great with Watson and this org.
Of course the Browns would take a guy with issues like Hall while other teams that value character took him off their boards (per Florio).
Or did teams think the gold digging "fiancee" who was cheating on him with her ex was a ticking time bomb? Baby mama drama isn't that unusual in the league. "Teams that value character" seem to really only value it for the PR. Name a team that hasn't had a player in the police blotter.
I'm not excusing Hall's alleged actions. They didn't happen in a vacuum, though, and we're only hearing one side. 21 years old with woman troubles and a kid involved is a volatile situation.
Something seems off with the account in the report. His telling them where he was going doesn't seem to fit the rest of the story. I wonder if rather than him trying to drag her out, she was trying to keep him from leaving.
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.

At the risk of getting to boot out of here into PP, this is Ohio so yes.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Personally, I prefer to wait for all the facts to come out. Certainly, one could expect the police report to be accurate however, that report is based upon one side of the altercation.

Hopefully Hall's first phone call was to his lawyer.
It's good for him that the stories have changed, because brandishing a firearm during the commission of another crime (even a domestic) is very bad. If alcohol was in him at all, then it is even worse. We're talking felony territory with mandatory minimum sentences of 3+ years.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
