I hope we aren't going to be to the point soon where other games are more meaningful, but I'm looking forward to Buffalo/Miami tomorrow
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm kinda already at the point where I'm thinking it makes more sense to just proactively reclaim my Sundays.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Well, I'm feeling that way this year too. It just seems like a lost cause to invest too much emotion into our team

Well, I'm feeling that way this year too. It just seems like a lost cause to invest too much emotion into our team I mentioned this a little tongue in cheek before the season started, but Stefanski has not had two successful seasons in a row to date. Following that pattern this is on pace to be a down year. He also exceeds expectations when they are low and underperforms expectations when they are high. Those expectations coincide with the every other year pattern. If we lose to Jax this season is going to be a 5ish win season. Kev isn’t a rally the troops kind of guy when the chips are down. He’s a project manager bringing organization to chaos, keeping everyone on schedule, and hoping that leads to the project getting done on time and on budget i.e., wins. No one's running through a wall for Kev. If the losses start piling up, the injuries will start piling up because guys won’t want to play. This has a high probability of being a very long, unenjoyable season. The sucky part is we are wasting a ton of guy’s primes.

your final point is my big thing. Back in 2015-2018 ... who cares if we sucked? We had no good players and no hope
This year feels like a waste of a lot of talent and potential

He also exceeds expectations when they are low and underperforms expectations when they are high. Those expectations coincide with the every other year pattern. So that was the plan. Get the expectations as low as possible as fast as possible this season. Super Bowl bound! Wait, wait, wait. ...I mean 1st pick here we come!
Honestly, I think we just need to figure out how we're going to handle this look. We'll probably see the Jags try to use it this week. Going heavy and running at the unprotected LBs up the middle seems like it could be the answer. Might be the year the running game comes back around as the "winning formula."

Yeah, our run game has to be better to alleviate our poor passing game. Not sure Ford and our patchwork OL can do it, but we have to try

We have Freeman and Strong too. Both are capable of running the ball. I’d like to see more of what Strong can do.

Yeah, We need to find something in the run game. Strong or Freeman might be a little change up or spark

J/c ![[Linked Image from media.tenor.com]](https://media.tenor.com/wyCaGOYCMHAAAAAM/morgan-freeman.gif) I'm not sure how much Morgan Freeman has left in his legs. Foreman might see some more use for us. I do think the trend of smaller, faster LBs might make bigger RBs more the counter to use.

Yeah his fingers did that curl up thing. I’ve only seen that happen on one player and it’s now happened twice. That would scare the crap out of me.
Pretty routine tackle as well.
I’d be done.

Miami looked horrendous before the injury, and that just dampened the night more
Tua should not play again

One more like that and he has to walk away, right? I was very surprised at that huge extension. Hot take: He won't play more than two more seasons, ie... two more major concussions.

Step on into my office... Dear Lord no! We would have to give up our next 3 first round draft picks to make that happen!
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Pittsburgh started with two road wins that are considered "easy" IMO

Will Levis of the Titans must have been watching Brandon Weeden’s game film. The only explanation I have to his mind boggling turnovers.

“The 50 yard FG has become the three foot putt.” - Mike Tirico
Truer words have never been spoken. Ten years from now, nobody will bat an eye at 60+ yard FGs. It’s remarkable how good NFL kickers have become.

Sam Darnold is playing good football.
Sometimes a quarterback is drafted high and goes to a bad situation.
A young QB coming from college is far from a finished product. It takes years to gain experience.
Some guys take some time and bloom late. Gino Smith is an example.
Baker is playing some good football.
The AFC North was titled the toughest division before the season began.
The record after two games. Three wins four loses.

I think a lack of a preseason is hurting a lot of teams. Very sloppy play, not in sync, and tons of injuries

I think a lack of a preseason is hurting a lot of teams. Very sloppy play, not in sync, and tons of injuries That's absolutely the takeaway. Once this goes to an 18 game schedule, the first 3 games or so of the season will be treated like CFB with the exception you can't schedule cupcakes. Attempting to sell the fans that joint practices are more productive is hilarious. Be curious when fans realize paying premium dollars for openers isn't worth the juice.

I agree with you Milk. I haven't commented much on the season so far, b/c I expect the first few games will have it's highs and lows. Though I was disappointed with the first game, I know the team will start showing their identity in the next few weeks. No reason to make a final judgement on the team yet. Like D4L said, "a lot of teams" ....we aren't the only team in the league going to go through the ups and downs. A lot of overdramatized articles on lots of teams when it's still early in the season. I get it though, it's an easy thing to write about and it's how you get clicks. One of the biggest things for the Browns right now is cleaning up player controllable mistakes (i.e. penalties, dropped passes) while they get back into the flow of the offense/defense.

I agree .. the penalties is the #1 issue to correct. We can't continue to be 2nd and 12 each drive. KS offense is at its best when we can throw in running situations
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
