Forget sacks and look at plays where he cannot see a simple read on play after play.
Some people simply won't accept what everyone else can see. They think the QB play doesn't impact and have a ripple effect on the rest of the team. They indicate because they see it as "the QB isn't the only problem" it should just be ignored. While others see that in order to fix something you need to start by addressing your biggest problem first, see how that impacts everything else and move forward from there as need be.
No matter how much they're shown time and time again what the biggest problem is they can't and won't accept it.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...NEVER in DWs LIFE has he been the type of QB to succeed in a KS offense...NEVER.
If you’re right then someone needs to be hold accountable because Andrew Berry told us all at that press conference that they have made a complete due diligence and that they were absolutely sure that Watson was the right QB for the Browns.
Either someone is lying or we’re talking about pure incompetence. Not that I’m directly surprised but how is it possible at this level to invest 230m and valuable draft picks without fully knowing Watson’s qualities and if it was adaptable to Stefanski’s philosophy how to play.
I think a lot of our non-Watson problems are from trying to turn the offense into something different than how we've been building the roster over the past few years. I'm mainly talking about the Oline looking like a bunch of rookies vs a bunch of all-pros. This offense has been built to run the ball well (which we can't seem to do with Ford in there), and then hit chunk plays off play-action... and when we do that KS seems to be able to really open up the playbook and everyone looks good.
Instead, we have a disjointed mess right now (moreso than we've ever seen in the KS era) which just happens to coincide with a major offensive system rework that was aimed at tailoring stuff more to Watson's skillset.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Last season Chubb was injured in week 2 of the season. Our oppoenents knew how much that would negatively impact the run game. I mean if we all knew it you can be sure NFL staffs knew it. Yet when looking at the numbers Jedrick Wills ranked 8th in OT pass block rankings. Bitonio ranked 6th among interior OL pass block rankings. Pocic ranked 10th. Overall in OL blocking the Browns ranked 10th.
People keep trying to blame the HC in some alternative universe in which they must believe Stefnaski hypnotized them all into forgetting how to play the game.
The loss of Callahan may be the biggest contributing factor in all of this. Which brings a couple of obvious questions to mind............
Who was it that made the call to overhaul the offensive coaching staff?
And secondly why would Stefnaski have been the one who made that call when he made the playoffs under his system with his OC using 4 different QB's? Rarely does a HC change his own staff when he manages that much success without his starting QB for the vast majority of the season.
I don't have the answer to those questions. But hopefully those jumping to the conclusion this all lies with Stefanski will look a little deeper than on the surface.

It's very clear that DW doesn't understand the intricacies of the offense. It is also very clear he is poorly processing what the defense is doing prior to the snap. Candidly, this is probably the biggest issue. If he understood, he would be sliding protections and he would know who should be open or where he should be throwing the ball when he hits a 3 or 5-step drop.
Because of this, we have to watch DW look like a deer in headlights as to where he should be throwing the ball or watch him run scared as cats for no reason.
Nobody is claiming that there are no issues other than DW.
However, when you look at scoring points which is how you win games. He is failing when there are plays to win games.
Obvious reads he is simply not seeing. I don't know why. You keep spouting "haters."
I don't believe Warner or Quincy are haters. Neither am I a hater.
Greg Cosell knows more than you will ever know and he showed the failures clearly on tape.
The tape does not lie.
you are.. you consistently blame DW ignoring the other issues.. and you talk about scoring points... you realize DW just throws the ball right.. guys like Jeudy, are supposed to catch them...in the endzone.. which he failed.. Kurt was a decent QB, but he's been a horrible analyst. Oh fun fact.. Guess who has the higher career rating? Give you a hint, its not Warner.. but I digress. My whole point in all this, DW will be fine if everyone else around him starts at least doing their jobs. Once that happens we can actually see what the offense can be. He's running scared, not seeing the field.. All by products of spending the first 5 weeks running for his life. But again, I am all for a change at QB.. because either Winston comes in and we starts winning, or he comes in and does just as poorly.. then the talk about DW can go back to focus on the skill players, line and the horrible schemes. Thats funny you say that about Cosell when you haven't met either one of us.. but you are right, the tape doesn't lie.. and it shows everything I've been saying

to be fair.. the offensive scheme this year is garbage..its like last year we had this PA heavy Offense, then chubb went down, but we kept it for the most part to protect the scrubs at QB.. This year, they had a camp knowing they didn't have chubb and they came up with this garbage. If you look at alot of these plays on obvious blitzes, DW almost never has a designated outlet with a back or TE. If you remember when Flacco came here, callahan and KS called max protect on obvious passing downs leaving 8 back to block.. DW hasn't had that a single snap this year despite the turnstile that is our oline. Watson at this point can't trust the line or the receivers..I believe this is the biggest issue. I hope getting Conklin back for however long he lasts will help because Jones should just be put on the PS until he loses 60-80 lbs he gained in the offseason. But until we get back to running as part of the game plan, teams are going to bring pressure and play tight man every snap because they know we aren't running

For me it's more about the man Watson is (or isn't) His time in Houston was filled with some damn fine football. He did play well. For a while. But after he showed what kinda "man" he really is, he's never recovered.
I'm not sure who it was that decided that putting $230 Million into the hands of a young man with his problems was going to solve that issue, but whoever it was needs to have their head(s) examined.
I do however, recognize there are other problems with this team at the moment. But for me, he's the biggest

Where? Who do you think will take him? They could just send up a snack bag of chips but there is no team in the league that is going to accept him and his contract.
When Jimmy has had enough of "losing"..maybe things will change.
It was Jimmy's trade..how much has to be sacrificed to satisfy his ego..?
Think about how dumb the contract was that Haslam OKed in order land Watson...Haslam eliminated all incentive and leverage over Watson to insure that he would bust his butt to perform on the football field.
Guaranteed contract making Watson the highest paid QB in the NFL.
Then when Flacco played well, which should have driven the point home that Stefanski was not the issue...Haslam refused to offer Flacco a contract insuring that Watson had no incentive to play well...now we see how that worked.
Where? Who do you think will take him? They could just send up a snack bag of chips but there is no team in the league that is going to accept him and his contract.
There’s a few teams.
They might not accept all of the contract but possibly a big portion.

Right now, as I understand it, we would be on the hook for $200M cap hit if we cut him right now. Not sure how that would work for a trade but no one is going to be willing to absorb that and we certainly can't.
Joe Thomas and Myles Garrett are the only 2 1st round picks we ever made that were great and worked out (apologies to Joe Haden, but I think he was slightly overrated IMO), so I would be perfectly fine giving up another 1st for a chance to throw away DW.
I was listening to one of Quincy Carriers' videos, and he made an interesting point: You need KS and AB to walk into Haslems office, and convince him to punt on $150 million dollars to be able to bench watson and eventually cut him. I know he is a billionaire, but that is a very steep ask of him to do that. at this point it is no longer about football, it's all about that albatross of a contract.
there is absolutey NO team right now that would take Watson. Even if we paid 90% of his contract, he'd still go unsigned IMO
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
From what I heard on the radio, and I’m not joking, if we package DW and a 1st rounder, some teams may be willing to take on the contract.
What an unbelievable screw up.
Get it done ASAP!!!
as long it isn’t Berry drafting

There are absolutely teams that would eat half his contract for a first. I was under the impression that there was a rule created after we got Brock Osweiler that would prevent that same trade from happening in the future.

Example: you’re Carolina going nowhere. You have cap room, you can definitely use an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick. They can cut him right afterwards, just like we did with Brock.
That is why I said there are a few team. Doesn’t mean they want the player, means they want the pick.

Don't look now but I believe Kizer had a better career QBR than Watson does this year
Someone posted the list of Browns QBRs over the years and Kizer's was higher. That's absolutely wild.

Not to mention the salary he accounted for, us wasting the primes of GOOD players, not re-signing Flacco/Baker ... talk about an outright disaster

Watson is THE reason we are in this predicament. A few short months ago just about everyone thought the sky was the limit if he would just perform at a mediocre level. Some said they weren't holding their breath for that to happen, but even they thought we'd be successful if he did. We need to eliminate that Watson stench permeating the franchise. The thought of wasting the prime years of a bunch of talented players makes me sick.
We have by far the worst starting qb in the league. We mistakenly brought in a new OC to try and fix the situation, that turned out well. There are 2 rookies playing 10x better than this waste of money and a roster spot. As others have said, Deshon Kizer played better with less to work with for God sakes. If that's not enough for someone to say "enough!", nothing is.
It's time to admit the mistake and move on. We are out the money and draft picks whether he's on the team or not. He's not some asset to hang on to, he's finished as a player. With the current contract, he no longer has the motivation to grind thru adversity. He doesn't have the moral compass, work ethic or intestinal fortitude to make the most of his ability. Just listen to him in his pressers or on the podcast. Just watch him play.

You really shouldn't hold back your emotions and refrain from displaying your guttural reactions that way. Holding all of that in can't be healthy. So tell us how you really feel?

NOPE. DW is not why we are here… All the homers that poopoo’d Baker during an injury season when OBJ’s Daddy posted BS about him. Pathetic impatient fans in a grass is greener snot-fit pressured the Browns into a change @ QB. Shame on them, they are as much to blame as anyone with real authority. Anybody with a brain could see OBJ was trash. And that’s all I have to say about that.
But I 100% agree with what you said about where we are at and what is needed. DW and Dorsey IMO… they would be gone before Sunday if I called the shots. Money be damned, let Berry worry about that.
If the voice of the fans dictated all of the Browns decisions, why isn't watson on the bench by now? I mean I get what you're saying and at some point you would think they have to listen to the fans to some degree since that is how they make their money. But DW still being the starting QB is evidence they pick and choose when they do and don't listen to the fan base. And that's on them. I get that children and teenagers are easily influenced by peer pressure. But these are grown ass men we're talking about here.
If a professional sporting team is allowing the fan base to run their franchise, You need different people running it. And that's their fault and nobody elses.

The contract is an anchor. There is no way to get out from under it.
There will be no giving away a first round pick and DW to get rid of him.

Haslam wants to win. I do not fault the guy. He is trying. Although Haslam is not a football expert. He can see what we all see.
I can only speculate on how KS, AB, and Haslam interact. Haslam like all of us must be frustrated. The expectations for this season were to win a Super Bowl with DW leading the way. It has to be painful for all involved.
Haslam is practical. He sees what is going on. I am unsure how he is reacting.
This week with the home game against the Bengals is going to be ugly. The fans will react and it will not be pretty.
There will be some serious meetings coming down soon. They will determine the path that will be taken.
