What would it take for you to stop supporting this garbage franchise?

Will you give them a check for next season?

After having them passed down to me from my family members who have had them since ‘83, I stopped renewing mine after 2010 and it was a great decision in hindsight.

As of now, I wouldn’t pay 10% of face value to watch this team live. Say the seat costs 80 bucks face value, at 10% of what you paid, I’d be at 16.00 for two seats, + 20 parking, + 25 for food. Factor in gas and time, and I think that only a complete idiot would pay even 10% of face value to watch this team play live.

I really can't see any reason for any of us to attend games ... heck, if you love the family/friend/tailgate time, that's understandable ... but just go to that and go home

I would only buy season tickets if I had a good time watching the team. So I would not get Browns season tickets

I had them from 2008-2012 and quit, wish I would have stayed there. Started back in 2021 when things looked brighter and now I'm regretting it again.

I'm out again after this year. I already don't want to go to another game and I'm stuck with these tickets I can't even sell for close to face value. It's a real kick in the balls. I can't do it anymore and I won't be fooled again.

Edit - it's a 3.5 hour drive from where I live to make matters worse.

Season tickets for losing teams are seldom worth the money. My experience is that you pay a premium price for them, way more than the price on the secondary market. If you get club seats, that have all inclusive food and drink, it might be worth it if you enjoy that sort of thing. But for regular seats, nope. It's much cheaper to pick out some games you might enjoy and buy the tickets on the secondary market.

Source: my attempts at buying season tickets to Atlanta United (dumpster fire). And I do have season tickets (Club seat) to the Hawks (mid team, but A++ organization with many perks, and A++ game experience)

Had season tickets for 5 season in the city side club. Gladly cancelled them several years ago.

Waste of money. I live closer than folks that have to make plans to get to the game, so if I want to go to a game I generally buy the day of when people are trying to unload tickets. Last year I went to 3 games and paid ~40% of face value. The dopey ticket reps will tell you can make money selling tickets to games you do not want to attend. You can't. Season tickets are a losing endeavor. Not to mention setting money on fire for paying face value for preseason games.

For a team that never has even played a home playoff game at that stadium, there is not even a postseason benefit to being a STH.

Not to mention, at least during my time as a STH, the Haslams offer very little benefits and perks to being a STH. In fact, it's embarrassing.

I've had Tribe/Guardian season tickets since 2016 and the opportunities and perks offered are light years ahead of what the Browns offer. My neighbor has a 10 game Cavs season ticket package and even with that the benefits and perks blow away anything the Browns offer.

The Browns take their fan base for granted. They understand CLE is a Browns town and are not motivated to offer more than the bare minimum.

I hate to think about the cost once the dome is built

Haslam is not getting $1.2B in taxpayer money to build his Brook Park barn. He's going to have to pony up a lot more cash to get that deal done. Especially, considering with each loss he is losing more and more public support.

I use to know a guy lol

I bought his seats when he couldn't make it to the games. 1st row 50 yard line right behind the Browns bench.

j/c:

Whether the team is good or bad, going to games never appealed to me, whatsoever. I'd much rather sit in my living room, get an up close 50-yard line view each play listening to play breakdowns while tracking fantasy teams, and hang out with friends/family. Not to mention the time it takes to weave through the drunken mess post-game and trying to leave downtown.

Nah, I'm good.

This is my 18th season holding season tickets. I am in the Lake club, section 330. I have been in those seats for maybe 14 of my 18 seasons. The tickets alone are fairly expensive. I pay about $4400 a year for the two seats combined.

I know I won't be going to many more games this season. I live out of town and have to travel up to the games. I no longer make the drive straight through so that means 4 nights in hotels per game. Add in gas, meals, etc. it adds up to real money.

The money isn't a big driving factor. I am getting older and starting to experience some fairly serious health issues that make the travel more and more a pain in the ass. I don't expect my demise anytime soon, but as you get older you can't just make things go away, the best one can do is slow them down. If people could make them go away, we all could live forever, right?

One of the factors that has helped me keep these tickets for the last few years is I love Cleveland and going to Cleveland. It's where I grew up. Bay Village to be exact. It's in my blood. However, I don't need to go up there 5-6-7 times over a 3-4 month window in the fall/early winter. I can still go up 3-4 times a year over a 12 month period. I can still go to as many Browns games as I want if I choose to do so.

That said, it is still going to be a hard decision. I like being able to tell people I am a Browns season ticket holder. I work that in to more conversations than you can count. It just doesn't have the same ring to say you are an ex-season ticket holder..lol. To help make things easier I have had the Sunday Ticket since last year. I like watching games from my recliner. I like eating the food I prepared or brought in for the game. Add in the teams apparent backslide and it makes the decision easier.

It's also easy to just pay the bill for the tickets. Yep, it is going to be a hard decision. All logical reasoning points to dumping the tickets. The problem is "heart". Sometimes the heart makes you forget all else. Love is blind, they say.

I think of guys like you, peen. Loyal fans who put so much effort and resource into supporting the team. It's unfair to you

Thanks, but I don't see it as unfair. I buy tickets hoping to see wins, but the Browns don't owe me wins.

I'm just curious. Are you competing for troll of the year on Dawgtalkers?

That’s spot on. Season ticket holders are the most loyal fans. And it’s like the Browns are under the impression that regardless of how they perform, they will always have a devoted season ticket holder base.

It’s a shame, given the expectations this year and what we’ve been subjected to as fans - especially those fans who have a financial stake in this mess.

So you're saying if someone can't afford to buy season tickets they're somehow less loyal fans than the people who can afford them?

I think you are looking to quarrel. I don't think he is saying that. The loyalty is the same. Some have total loyalty, some varying degrees., no matter if they have season tickets or not. I think it is some are more invested than others. I don't know what you would call it, but it means something.

You explained it an a way that makes sense. Saying, "Season ticket holders are the most loyal fans" does not. I do think it's sad that you think asking for clarification on what someone meant is looking to quarrel. But then you'll have people looking for something that's not there in the new world we live in.

At this point, A public apology should be issued by the fo, and Jimmy should refund the ticket holders. What in the heck did they do to this team by trading for this idiot. We were on the cusp of an annual playoff run, and now we’re back to ‘99.
Un bleeping real.

Even worse than 99, the fact that we have given up more sacks than that year through this amount of games is absolutely disgusting and inexcusable.

Got my tickets sold for the next game but nobody is biting on the rest, and I can't really blame them.

Just think, if we paid money for season tickets we would be contributing to DW's salary.

I've never understood why it is so important for some to be concerned with how I spend my money. I don't care how you spend your money. Spend it as you choose.

It seems to be that way with everything sadly. How you spend your money, how you spend your time and the list goes on. And if people were being totally honest they spend more time worrying and judging what others do than monitoring their own life. I say it's your money, you made it so spend it any way you like. That's none of my damned business.

jc Basketball Season Tickets > Football Season Tickets.

As one of my Hawks season ticket perks I was invited to early access for a game (about an hour before doors open). My rep will take me down to the floor and I'll get to watch them warm up.

So tonight I'm doing that for the Hawks v Knicks game.

Pretty cool. I have the 10 Game Stack Pack option for season tickets, and they give you all the same perks as full season tickets seats. Recently they gave me free Hawks merch (windbreaker), and free tickets to a preseason game. They have a lot of other perks throughout the year.

Highly recommend. Someone mentioned the Cavs do the Stack Pack deal also.

Agreed Eve,
The Cavs put on a great experience. - Live music in the concourse, giveaways and shows during halftime and time outs. I’m looking into packages now. I should have bought them sooner - team looks great this year.

That's sounds really neat. I am not even remotely into bouncy ball hoop sport, but if you enjoy it anything the team does to make it better is awesome.

We did on field last year for Ravens v Browns. It was neat, could have been better but we were, somehow, in the Ravens end of the field. I don't want to be the one tackling Mark Andrews, dude is a beast.

Could not agree more. Cavs game experience is 10x the entertainment experience than anything the Browns provide. This is not just a knock on the Browns, but NBA game experience is just so much better. Possibly because it's indoors, smaller, more intimate venues and 50% of the fans are not blackout drunk looking to fight.

I have a few buddies that either have Cavs season tickets or smaller ticket packages and the Cavs give them incredible perks. I've mentioned I have had Tribe/Guardian season tickets since 2016 and they have great perks as well. Cavs and Guardians appreciate their fan bases, reward their support. The Browns (I was a STH for 5 years) take their fans for granted and borderline insult them with the "perks" they offer.

The Browns once gave season ticket holders those cheap $.99 cotton gloves as a perk. A junk Sherwin Williams painters hat that could not have cost more than $.35 to produce.

Hawks stink, but no doubt you'll have a blast at the games. Enjoy!

So, I am back from my Hawks experience. I can't call it a game. I have to call it an experience, because it was magical!

First, I met my rep at the gate about an hour before gates open. I went through security and then he took me to the court. We chilled in Courtside seats for about 45 minutes while I watched the Hawks warmed up. It was amazing.

Here are some videos:

Video 1
Video 2
Video 3

So that was pretty cool.

Afterwards, I went into my club to eat.

Then I got a phone call from my rep and he asked if want to be a contestant in one of the contests during the game. HELL YES!

So, before a game timeout, they came to get me, and they (tv people, cheerleaders, hostess) and I went up to one of the second level clubs and I was on the scoreboard video for a contest during the timeout. Basically it was a shell game advertising Ford trucks and I had to pick the correct truck. The crowd got into it, and I picked the correct one! So I won Cyndi Lauper concert tickets!

That was amazing! My brain is exploding at this point.

I went back to my seat to chill for a while.

Then the swag surfing audience cam came on. And I got on camera AGAIN for the swag surfing. It was crazy.

The Hawks love me. Sorry Cavs. Hawks are my new #1. I love them back. Best time at a basketball game EVER. People kept recognizing me from being on the scoreboard. I felt like a celebrity.

So, what I'm saying is....get some basketball season tickets!! You won't regret it! The experience is legit!

It's not too late for the Stack Pack. I bought the Stack Pack after the season started last year. Send the Cavs an email. You'll be super happy.

The other cool part is that people remember you. The ushers by my seat remember me from last year. I get hugs from ushers. You get to know the other season ticket holders. It's just really well done.

Also, both years that I have had season tickets...my rep has made a point to personally come to my seat and say Hi. He came to find me on opening day even thought I was in a different seat than normal. It's really nice of them to do that.
