I see where President Biden just issued preemptive pardons to several people like Fauchi and Shifty. Innocent people don't need Presidental pardons. They do when the incoming king has made it clear he will be conducting witch hunts. Funny talking about witch hunts....give me a break. Now I see Biden has pardoned his family. I think you and many others need to get your heads out of you kiesters and admit what has been going on for the past 4-5 years. Until you folks do that, there is no point in even talking to you.

Since all you have are the ramblings of a habitual liar and his cronies to base those beliefs on maybe it's you who needs to get his head out of his keister. As hard ss it is for you to admit, trump came out and said it loud and clear.

When a man thinks those who committed those crimes when they stormed the capital on Jan. 6th are "political prisoners" and "hostages" context means something when he speaks about "those who have been wronged". Of course if you don't allow for any context at all it would paint a different picture.

He couldn't have been any more plain than that. He is. He overcame their BS attacks and won anyway. That is retribution. He proved them to be fools and political hacks. Seriously, had President Trump pardoned his entire family, you and others would have crapped your pants. I think most of you would have been smart enough to remove your heads before you did that. I hope at least some of you would have been smart enough to have done that.

Only one difference. The incoming president hadn't claimed he would take retribution on them. I know you comprehend context so I have no idea why you're trying to twist and ignore it. Here's one example. Trump couldn't possibly be their retribution unless and until he was elected president.
Now he has the power to carry out that threat. In all honesty you have to know that.
And nothing trump could do or say would make me crap myself or make my head explode. I understand perfectly that he is capable of the most crazy and insane things possible. Hell, he even says so. The possible military invasion of both Greenland and the Panama Canal. Forcing Canada to be the 51's state. Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of to the Gulf of America. You know, any insane thought that just happens to pop into his head at the time.
When you understand that, nothing shocks or surprises you. At this point I've simply stocked up on popcorn to watch the crap show. I suggest you do as well.

Some day Trump will be pardoned from political buffoon prosecutors. Is that the best you got to defend the 34 time convicted felon you voted for? "It's not Little Johnnies fault. I know he is facing several charges in several courts but none of it is his fault. It's all the fault of the bullies that are picking in him" You realize that's the exact same thing tens of thousands of mother's across this country have said right before their sons were sentenced to prison, right? That it's always someone elses fault?

I thought none of these people did anything wrong? You thought correctly. If none of them did anything wrong, why pardon them? If there's no proof of any wrongdoing, why pardon them preemptively? Oh, yeah.................they DID do something wrong. I'm just laughing..............."they didn't do anything wrong. (that you know of), but I'm going to pardon them for things they never did, just in case you find out they did." What a freaking joke. Sad.

Oh, the irony. “It concerns me in terms of what kind of precedent it sets and how the rest of the world looks (at) us as a nation of laws and justice,” Biden said during his first joint interview with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris since winning the election.

Technically, she broke the law. Obviously the laws have changed for the good since the 1870's. She was pardoned by President Trump what, maybe 140 years later?

I think the point stands. From what I can tell, nobody on the J6 Committee even asked for a pardon. None of them have been found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for anything, unlike guys like Torrio, for instance.
To be honest with you, I don’t think Biden should have issued pardons for them. I think the whole pardoning process has been abused left and right and up and down from its initial intent.
I actually think Biden issuing the pardons did Trump a favor. If DOJ went after everyone on the committee, I think it would have looked like quite the politically motivated ish show to most objective voters, at least.

I'll try to present this as if I'm talking to a ten year old since that's pretty much what I'm doing. Trump has been calling his family "The Biden Crime Family". He told his voters that "He will be their retribution". Has has said that the Jan.6th panel were criminals and should be in jail. Anyone and everyone with a brain that has paid attention knows this. You see, when someone places a bullseye on the backs of the innocent somebody needs to protect them from persecution clearly coming their way. You make it sound like Biden pardoned people who were found guilty of committing seditious conspiracy (Stewart Rhodes). Or a man who attacked police officers at the Capitol with pepper spray and a chair was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison. (Peter Schwartz). Or a former New York City police officer and Marine Corps veteran, that was sentenced to 10 years in prison plus three years of supervised release for swinging a metal flagpole at police before tackling one officer and yanking his gas mask off on Jan. 6. (Thomas Webster) What you seem to be doing is claiming how terrible it is to pardon people that have been targeted while they haven't been found guilty of anything. While on the other hand you've made no mention of pardoning people such as the one's I've described above. So no arch, I'm not laughing with you. I'm laughing at you.

I believe the story about the pardons for the Jan6 committee and Fauci being to protect people that did their job legit....
but I also understand folks who don't see it that way... Biden muddied the waters with his blanket Hunter pardon.
It's annoying to try to explain this to folks who think Ashley Babbitt was a martyr.

You guys waste so much time talking to MAGA on here. And they don’t even try to hear you. Facts don’t get through the garbage that’s been shoved between their ears. Logic doesn’t stand a chance. But it’s temporary, women are already holding them accountable for their votes. In a couple of decades, most of these young incels will be the last of their lines. Then maybe the country can be done with the ‘Muica’ mouth breathers.

Yet here you are doing the same thing. What I realize is that there are people who read this board who don't post. What I realize is that you must post what is being done and what's going on. Nobody is ever going to change the excuses and rhetoric right wingers continue to use in order to excuse trump and his cronies reprehensible behavior. That doesn't mean anyone should remain silent about it.

Also wanted to add, what the heck did Milley allegedly do??? He was obviously part of my chain of command. Everyone liked that guy. He received praise from both sides of the aisle in just about every hearing I listened to. Smart as a whip. Under fierce Republican attack, U.S. General Milley defends calls with China By Phil Stewart and Patricia Zengerle September 28, 202111:24 PM EDTUpdated 3 years ago WASHINGTON, Sept 28 (Reuters) - U.S. General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, fended off perhaps the most personal and direct attacks from lawmakers of his career on Tuesday as Republicans blasted his calls with China and his interviews for books critical of Donald Trump's presidency. Milley, 63, was unshaken as Republicans called for his resignation during an already contentious hearing that was meant to focus on the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan - but repeatedly swerved into questions regarding the general. Advertisement · Scroll to continue When asked, Milley acknowledged talking to Washington Post author Bob Woodward for a book that showcased Milley's role trying to avert a crisis over apparent Chinese fears that Trump might attack Beijing in his final months in office. The book detailed supposedly "secret" calls with General Li Zuocheng of the People's Liberation Army on Oct. 30, 2020 and again on Jan. 8, and said Milley had promised to warn China first if he were ordered to attack. Advertisement · Scroll to continue Report this ad Milley confirmed the calls but said they were not secret to U.S. government officials and that he was acting on instructions from some of Trump's top aides to de-escalate tensions. He acknowledged trying to send a message that "we are not going to attack you" following U.S. intelligence indicating Beijing feared an attack. Republican Senator Dan Sullivan challenged Milley, insinuating he would be executed for that kind of behavior in China. Advertisement · Scroll to continue "If the head of the PLA called you and said, 'Hey, we're getting ready to invade Taiwan' and (Chinese President) Xi Jinping found out about it, he'd be shot," Sullivan said, referring to China's People's Liberation Army. Milley said the calls were part of his mandate to ensure strategic stability. "I know, I am certain, President Trump did not intend on attacking the Chinese and it is my directed responsibility to convey presidential orders and intent," Milley told the Senate Armed Services Committee. Trump, who has said Milley should be fired if the acounts were true, issued a statement after the hearing ridiculing the Army general. "No wonder the Afghanistan withdrawal was such a disaster. 'General' Milley spent all of his time talking to these Fake Book writers," Trump said. Senator Angus King, an independent committee member who caucuses with Democrats, praised Milley. "I think he was rendering the country a significant service," King told reporters on a conference call after the hearing. U.S. military brass testify before Senate panel on Afghanistan, in Washington Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley attends a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on the conclusion of military operations in Afghanistan and plans for future counterterrorism operations, on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., September 28, 2021. Sarahbeth Maney/Pool via REUTERS Purchase Licensing Rights, opens new tab The committee's Democratic chairman, Senator Jack Reed, also told reporters that de-escalating international tensions was part of Milley's job. 'HE'S CRAZY' Milley acknowledged that he also spoke on Jan. 8 with U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who, according to the Washington Post, had asked the general what safeguards were in place to prevent an "unstable president" from launching a nuclear strike. "He's crazy. You know he's crazy," Pelosi told Milley, the newspaper reported, citing a transcript of the call. Milley, in his remarks to Congress, said Pelosi had asked him on Jan. 8 about whether Trump's actions might lead to an accidental nuclear missile launch. He responded by assuring her of safeguards and added: "I am not qualified to determine the mental health of the President of the United States.” Milley told the Armed Services Committee: "At no time was I attempting to change or influence the process, usurp authority, or insert myself into the chain of command." President Joe Biden has supported Milley throughout the controversy surrounding the calls, saying he had "great confidence" in him. But it is not the first time the top U.S. military officer has been caught in the spotlight. Last year, Milley caused an uproar after accompanying Trump toward a church for a photo opportunity just after authorities cracked down on civil rights protesters. He later said he regretted it, saying the incident created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics. In one exchange on Tuesday, Milley acknowledged also speaking with two other sets of book authors. Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn lashed out at him. "In order to get your name in a book... all you have managed to do is to politicize the U.S. military, to downgrade our reputation with our allies," Blackburn said. He was mean to trump and told the truth about him! Fire him now! I think it had more to do with him allegedly making secret calls to China. If true, that would have been an actionable offense. I don't know what the truth is but it shouldn't be taken lightly. We know he made the calls but we don't know who if anyone told him to.
