Just watched the whole Alabama vs Oklahoma game. Milroe's statline looks bad, but he got let down over and over and over. Might be the worst an Alabama offense has played around the QB ...ever or at least in my lifetime, definitely since Saban was there.
First pick Prentice whiffs on the CB on a WR screen and the DB makes a crazy pick. Perfectly placed balls dropped on 3rd downs. OL and TEs getting smoked off the edge all game. Interior not much better. Multiple defenders in the back field on every called QB run which there seemed to be way to many of considering how they were going. Random phantom penalty negating a 4th down TD bomb turning it into a turnover. Punt returner randomly downing the ball at the one instead of letting it go into the end zone.
Milroe kept getting back up. I actually see the way he handled the adversity as a positive. He wasn't perfect, but his performance was much better than the box scores would have you believe. Made some great throws that weren't caught. His process could be great, but the results were out of his control.
Might have to dig into the LB Lewis. That was a great play on the pick 6. Not excusing Milroe, but that was some range.
Was senior night and the Oklahoma crowd was going crazy. WRs seemed to have a hard time getting set right. Could have been part of the OL struggles as well.
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.
I certainly don't have the confidence you do. I mean I suppose if all those millions they spend on analytics and scouting agree with Stefanksi it will be like Kumbaya. But for me to think that KS will make the final call if the other departments disagree with who he chooses, it won't end up that way. And no matter our opinions, that's what Berry's job is. To make the final call considering the input of everyone involved.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Milroe did not overly impress me; his first two interceptions were horrendous. I eventually focused on #52 Booker, LG. The guy was solid in pass protection. I believe he is a later first round pick....

The results looked horrendous. The first one wasn't on Milroe, though. It was a screen and he threw it expecting the forward WR to block the DB that picked it. They had a numbers advantage there, so it was the "right" pre-snap read. Timing and placement seemed fine, execution out wide just sucked.
Anticipation can be a double-edged sword. If the play gets run right, it's great. If it doesn't, QB gets left holding the bag. Yet, a QB still has to anticipate if he's going to have consistent success. The ball doesn't travel between thrower and catcher instantly. He's got to let it go before everybody is where they are going to be when the ball gets there.
2nd pick was similar. Looked like the right presnap read. Milroe did maybe stare it down a bit, but you don't expect a LB to get all the way out to the sideline from in the box that fast. I'll actually give you this one, but it happens. Even Peyton Manning got got. It was one "bad" throw.
Now count the throws that got dropped. Or the WR looked like he got shot (Bernard lost a ball in the lights.)
Don't know about Booker. Tackles definitely didn't play well.

I am looking forward to the coverage of the Senior Bowl.
There will be a lot of people from the media all over the place.
The Browns will have lots of reporters as well as coaches etc.
Quincy will be there. He always has a keen eye.
I dunno. I feel like the American team kind of got shafted with the coaching staff. Got an offense coming from Bubba and the Giants first year RB coach (has coached elsewhere, but mostly RBs.) Meanwhile National team got an OC whose gotten HC interviews (Kafka.)
May not be a big deal, but on the surface just leaves me wondering what exactly they're thinking here. Maybe the Senior Bowl staff provides playbooks/gameplans? Just seems weird.
Practices/drills/one on ones should still be informative.

One was trading down to six with the Raiders. The trade value straight up would get us a third this year and a future one.
Under that scenario Ward, Sanders, Hunter and Carter are likely gone.
Slight chance we could get Hunter or Carter but it would depend upon the Giants, Pats and Jags and what they would do.
Picking sixth we could be looking at T McMillan, Mason Graham, Ashton Jeanty.
If it came down to selecting one of those three guys who are all worthy of the 6th pick.
As much as I love Jeanty. I would not take the tackle or running back because the draft is very deep at running back and we could get one later in the draft.
Graham by all accounts is a real stud at DT. But I would have to take McMillan.
He is the best receiver in this draft. He would have the biggest impact on a struggling offense in need of more receiver impact. He would be an immediate weapon for our new QB.
I have watched McMillan closely. He is really good. I love his type. He is 6'5". He is a super smart player with mad skills.
He does it all as a receiver. What I love is his catch radius and his ability to use that radius. He snatches the ball with sure hands. He high points the ball against shorter db's. He runs clean routes. He ramps to high speed quickly. He gets open and uses his length.
I do not see any negatives in his game. Receiver money is growing large. JaMarr Chase is going to get $35. Getting a stud like McMillan for five years at a low price would help build a contending offense with more money to build the OL.
I would not like losing out on Carter or Hunter but that trade down would give us a chance to load up on more talent.
If we trade down McMillan would be the best choice for sure
I think McMillan is the 3rd best Wr in this draft.
Travis Hunter is number 1 IMO If I drafted him, I would play him full time as a Wr
I think Luther Burden III Missouri is #2
You can shuffle those guys pretty much any way you want and you are going to get a good player.
If we do trade down, I don't care if it is just one slot, I am going to get a 2nd this year. There will be some really good players at the top of the 2nd round, and I want 2 of them. I'll let others figure out what we might get next year. Another 3rd or 4th?
The further down we go, obviously the future compensation goes up.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Quincy? He's just a dude on the internet.
I am not putting you down, but Quincy is getting near unwatchable. He talks about the same things and I just remember him pimping Perrion Winfrey. I think his keen eyes are more about having open ears, listening to other people talking about prospects.

Jaxson Dart sounds interesting, but not at #2. I’ve been reading up on the boy, he has a good arm, accurate -when not under heavy pressure - and post-snap reads need some work. I don’t believe we will draft a QB at 2, my wish is to trade down but a high-end talent like Hunter or that edge rusher wouldn’t be a disappointment.
After watching Jaxon Dart on tape he is really growing on me.
I love guys who throw with good mechanics. I like good footwork and a fast release.
I want to see hip rotation and weight transfer.
You see all that with Dart. You do not see it with Ward.
Dart has good numbers. I don't care about the offense that MS ran.
I listened to Mississippi radio and the players who played with him. I listened to his mom who was a 4 sport star and his dad who played safety at Utah.
Dart is a leader in the best ways. His teammates love the guy. He is unafraid to play in the mold of Josh Allen.
I listened to Todd McShay who is covering the Senior Bowl say that Dart could become QB two.
I would feel damn good about getting him with our second round pick.
I agree about Dart. He Has all the tools and from what I've read seems to be a good kid. Obviously not ready right away and should sit a year or 2 and learn behind a vet and competent QB coaches which we seem to have now with Rees and Musgrave. Maybe pur FO is finally starting to get it about young QB's and proper coaching.
His father played safety at Utah and his mom was an athlete too. I don't know how much that means if anything, but they did want him to play sports and directed him into it. Sounds like a good solid family background too. The more I read about him the more I like.
I like Dart because "Dart throwing Darts" is too easy.
This is all I really have to offer to a draft thread. I appreciate reading everyone's takes.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
At the same time his skills should translate to the NFL. I cannot say what he will become but he is good enough to get a chance and take it from there.
You never know how a qb will turn out. He has the tools. Can he process at the NFL level remains to be seen.
I do not think that Sanders or Ward are blue chip guys either. IMO not much separates these top three guys.
Milroe is starting to look stiff to me. He is a great athlete but he is not smooth as a quarterback. He looks very hesitant at the Senior Bowl.
Unsure of what he is seeing. Of course the Senior Bowl is not where you pass judgement. Game tape is where you have to look.
I think Dart in the second round is a good play rather than the gamble of Ward and Sanders with the second pick.
