Simply a thread to make your Superbowl predictions and discuss the upcoming Superbowl....

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

My prediction is that I don't care, and probably won't watch it.

I always watch Superbowls no matter who is playing. But then I'm an NFL fan who watches several games and differing teams. I even find the commercials entertaining. I do often skip the halftime show. That will be no different this year.

I agree. I'll watch the game, and the commercials, and skip the halftime show.

Is it possible it ends in a tie? It'll be hard to pick either team. I'm not a fan of either.

Same here. Probably going skiing. Slopes will be empty in the afternoon as people leave early to go watch the game.

The only entertainment I'll get out of this game is to watch the ridiculous calls/non-calls at crucial times going to the Chiefs. This will be amusing, as I can't bring myself to root for the Eagles like I did for Houston and Buffalo.

I'm not excited about the game at all. It's like when the Patriots went to the Superbowl all the time, or the Warriors went to the Finals all-too-often.

Regardless, I'm picking KC for the win.... but I hope they don't.

If KC can stop the run, they win. If not they lose. I’m rooting for Philly because I’m tired of KC, and never had anything against the Eagles.
I think Barkley and Hurts will run to daylight and claim victory. At least I hope they do.

I predict Barkley will run all over the Chiefs, but it will be negated by all the PFs called on the Eagles awesome defensive line. I will bet at least two roughing the QBs will be called in crucial times to benefit the Chiefs.

The worse thing that can happen to the NFL is for the Refs to favor one team over the other. They know that I'm sure. That's why I don't believe there is really a bias towards the Chiefs....

With that, I'm going to watch just out of habit... We got to guys on the Chiefs that I'd like to see get a ring... Kelce and Hunt.

Chiefs by 3

Man this game is a tough one to try and predict. But I'm going to give it a try anyway. The Chiefs have a tough defense no doubt. But it's not as good as the eagles D. With the duel threat of Barkley and Hurts it's very hard to stop the Eagles run game. I think that's the main key to this game. If the Eagles can control the clock by using the run game it may be a very long day for the Chiefs.

Then there's the fact that if Mahommes can't get rid of the ball quickly that Philly D may have a field day. Mahommes has a way of creating plays with his legs but if Philly can maintain outside containment on Mahommes much of that might be negated.

It's hard to pick against the Chiefs. They have a way of winning one score games. That's the mark of a championship team. They find a way to win. They have won 11 one score games in the 2024 regular season and they had that 32-29 victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game.

As hard as it is on paper to pick against the Chiefs, that's what I'm doing here. I pick the Eagles to win the Superbowl.

24 to nothing at the half. KC can't do squat on offense. Great game so far.

Half-time show was perhaps worst ever, and not just because that sort of music/stage presentation isn’t for me. I couldn’t hear his lyrics, it was almost all about him, no variety, I didn’t get the point. I’m sure there was one but I can’t figure it out.

The game? It was over at half, Eagle defence really showed up, excellent pass rush. Glad they won but I wanted a closer game.

I don't think rap works well as a live performance. Band/instrumentals needed. I was mainly scrambling to place live bets on Fan Duel like a mad man at that time however. My kiddos gave it a thumbs down and they're both Kendrick Lamar fans. If i was a musician/artist, I'd never perform at the Super Bowl seems like a losing endeavor. Very few can ever live up to expectations.

Yep.

I was listening to sports talk radio the morning of the SB and said to myself, "Don't be surprised if the Eagles pull this off." They did better than that, they killed 'em! Most of us are very happy the Chiefs lost. I love Mahomes but I'm sick of the team being so good.

Defense wins championships...

The Eagles physically dominated the Chiefs with their defensive performance.

Congrats Eagles

It started out quick with a bad call that had people saying it's fixed for the Chiefs... Not so fast buckeroo....

Anyway, it wasn't the best SB I've watched, certainly not the worse. But the Halftime show was just awful. Didn't understand a word Lamar said... Not one word.

Congrats Eagles and Philly fans. They clearly dominated...Chiefs will regroup and be back.....No doubt.

It was horrible. The NFL should be embarrassed they got bamboozled in to that. You couldn't understand but maybe 1 out of 10 words the guy was saying. Sorry, but it was bad. Very bad. Maybe the opposite side of watching " Up With People" for 20 minutes. Maybe more like 40 minutes with Up With People. At least they were singing to some kind of song and you could understand the words.

I know many of you have no idea what I am talking about, but Up With People Seemed to be an NFL favorite halftime show for about a decade.

Expected a bad SB and Fox didn't disappoint. Lousy halftime show. Their graphics during game were hard to see IMO. Really don't care for Brady in booth; this was low point for me. Iggles deserved better than this. This SB was a boring yawn despite some late scoring by the Chefs. We left Fox to itself early. This was proof that you can have too many commercials and too many talking heads. hats off to Hurys and Co. ! Mahomes didn't seem ready to me.

It's odd how everyone seems so focused on the half time show. People have been acting this way since Elvis came out. You know, claiming all the music young people listen to sucks. In the days of Elvis they came out saying it was the devils music. That his gyrating hips promoted sexual behavior. Then there was the 70' was when they claimed that it was subversive and that Ozzy was the devil spreading the message of Satan. This is nothing but history repeating itself. Fact is his albums have sold almost 18 million copies.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a fan of his music either. But I'm aware of the reality here. The old fan base of the NFL is dying off. The future of the fan base lies with the young people. As such the NFL is catering to their new audience. That's simply how business works. I also understand that while I don't get into his music, I'm not supposed to. It isn't made for me. Just like my music wasn't made for my parents generation. It's a pretty basic concept actually.

Whoever set up the sound did a very poor job. There's no doubt about that. And his comment about Drake was childish at best. But all this gnashing of teeth about the halftime show is hilarious.

I'm not a fan to begin with, but even I was a little dumbfounded by how bad the halftime show was. I went online and apparently there was a sound issue. General consensus was that people on Tubi had a MUCH easier time hearing the music than those watching on Fox.

There was also some controversy over differences in subtitles between streaming platforms and Fox (but hey, Reddit is gonna Reddit sometimes).

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Actually, I didn't have a problem with it either, but I thought the announcers and fans would... That's what I was referring to..

That half time show really did nothing for me
