Barf. The Browns remain a conduit to send playmakers and blue chip players to other NFL franchises.
God speed to Memphis and his mortgage bet on the Browns taking Hunter.

I'd say either Jeanty or the TE, Warren.

If we don’t trade down again Ashton J. could be available or go tackle, then QB/RB or QB/tackle in the second.

I guess the Browns thought Travis Hunter wasn't worth the #2 pick

Sounds like a good trade to me.
We will still get a great player at #5 and those two 2nd rounders at the top of the round intrigue me.

I'd say either Jeanty or the TE, Warren. I would love another trade down (Bears?), get another #2 and another #1 for next year They take Jeanty We take Warren I could be happy with that

That wouldn't surprise me at all. IF another player is wanted badly and you can stay in the top ten, it might be worth it.

I did not ! Browns don't need another edge guy. They need more of a guy like Graham the DL from the state up north.

Graham is solid. Not a HR hitter but a solid starter
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I would guess that takes us out of the QB market in the 2nd. So I am hoping A DE and a RB/WR. James Pearce and Henderson or Ebuka?

Now that the Browns got the extra 1st round pick in 2026 I do not see the Browns taking a QB early in this draft.

I am hoping the Giants and Saints start trading up back into the 1st and take QB's like Sanders and Dart so some offensive talent falls out of the 1st to the Browns picks at 33 and 36.

I’m laughing my but off at Mel Kiper trying to justify him dropping when he wanted him to go #1 overall…. He might turn out to be a great QB but wouldn’t want all the baggage that comes with him

I think Houston could be a trade partner again.
I don't see anyone else picking a qb before the Rams pick
If not, we should be able to swoop up Dart, Milroe, or Sanders in the 2nd round.

The QB needy teams made it obvious what they thought Sanders was in terms of value. Some of us thought Dart was the better QB. The answer to that question will take time to play out but I think this goes to show that the talking heads are more often wrong than right. At least in terms of QB's.
I'm still worried we may not have dodged the Sanders bullet with us having the #33 and #36 pick but we'll know soon enough.
It seems like the strategy is to have the ammo to trade up in a better QB draft next year rather than take a huge gamble at QB in a weak draft class. I like that line of thinking. Showing desperation often times leads to huge mistakes. In this case I think playing the long game makes perfect sense.
The compensation they got for that #2 pick was amazing. Hats off to the FO.

There's always going to be some heartache on passing on a player like Hunter... but we got a first next year (should at least be a better QB class than this one), an additional second pick (where the work really happens in this year's draft)... and all to drop 3 spots. With us not being just 1 player away... you gotta count the trade as a win.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Just one more thing about the Giants moving up to draft Jaxon Dart. There were no other teams left in round 1 that were going to draft a QB. The next team that needed a QB were the Browns at #33. The Giants certainly knew that. There had to be something going on, or at least that gave the Giants reason to believe that something was going in regards to the Browns trying to move up to get Dart. I can't think of any other logical reason why the Giants felt the need to jump up to insure they got Dart.

After Giants moved up the Rams traded out of the 1st round.

I get that there were rumors but that's far from substantial. But if the Giants knew something along those lines that too would make sense.

Oh man ... prayers for this young man and his family. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...other-dies-shortly-after-he-was-drafted/The past two days have likely been a wave of emotions for Derrick Harmon. Less than 24 hours after the Steelers selected him with the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Harmon's mother, Tiffany Saine, died, the team confirmed to KDKA-TV on Friday. After he was drafted, Harmon told several members of the Pittsburgh media that his mother was on life support and that he was headed straight to the hospital to tell her that he had just been drafted. She died shortly after Harmon had shared the news with her. Harmon had previously shared that his mother had suffered a stroke during his freshman year at Michigan State which left her paralyzed on her left side. He said that she had undergone over a half-dozen brain surgeries prior to suffering her stroke. In January, leading up to Oregon's Rose Bowl matchup with Ohio State, Harmon revealed that he used his NIL money to purchase an accessible van for his mom. His mother's condition left Harmon with a difficult decision when it came to transferring from Michigan State (which was roughly 45 minutes from his home) to Oregon after the 2023 season. But a conversation with his mother convinced him to do so. "I sat down with my mom and we had a discussion," he said. "She told me that every decision I made up to this point was for her, and it was time to make a decision for myself. I carried that throughout the whole process of going the whole 2,000 miles all the way to Oregon. "She's the reason why I'm here. She's the one that did everything for me to get to this point. ... I'm forever grateful." Instead of talking about himself, Harmon spent a considerable portion of Thursday night discussing his mother and the role she played in his journey. "Man, how resilient she was," Harmon said when he was asked about how she inspired him. "Just growing up, from my standpoint, my situation, I grew up with her having probably seven, eight brain surgeries. And after all those brain surgeries, she did not give up. She still took me to practice, still went to work. And I always, always got in the back of my head, from the beginning of my college career, was, why can I keep going if I'm tired, I'm injured, whatever it is, why can I keep going. If she can get up and she can keep going after brain surgery. So, just her resilience, and hard work. "She was my inspiration."
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
