100%. SHould be the begining, middle and end of the conversation until we see something meaningful.

In amongst a lot of talk of leadership - anyone notice the difference better the two interviews? Gabriel comes across exceptionally well.

Hope one of them has some ability at the NFL level as I suspect Joe will slow down and I do not think Pickett is the answer - would not surprise me to see one of them stating by week 8 or 9. Either find out something more about them or tank for the QB in the next draft.

But he was a 5th rounder for a reason. If any team had seen potential of him being a fQB, he'd have been gone long before we got him. The NFL has a long and consistent history of overlooking glaring issues if a QB prospect showed potential of being a viable starter in the league. I'm not about to hang my hat on a Cle Browns 5th round QB pick.

Timing Oober! Timing.

Flacco delivered a little bit above expectations in the 2023 regular season but then he actually failed in the playoffs against the Texans.
If you look back at his stats 2023 it’s 13 TD and 8 INT in 5 games.
In 2024 with the Colts he has 12 TD and 7 INT in 8 games.

That’s a downward trajectory that raises questions. I’m not even sure it’s a certain he will be the Browns starter W1.
I actually thinks Kenny Pickett has a good chance to surprise a lot of us. Right now he’s under the radar and that’s in the best position he can be.

When it comes to Gabriel vs. Sanders I only see one winner.
One of them seems to be a very likable and polished young man, the other looks like a future FQB.
Let us come back to this subject in a couple of months to see where this all goes.

If Sanders wins the QB job and plays well then great! Same for Gabriel. Whomever doesn't become the starter can always be traded or kept for a solid backup. I for one hope they both can be starting QB's.
