President Donald Trump was slammed for making a "disgusting" comment about how he "doesn't feel sorry" for his predecessor and former President Joe Biden following the latter's prostate cancer diagnosis.

Trump bade farewell to tech billionaire Elon Musk, who was leaving his position as a special government employee heading the Department of Government Efficiency, which aimed to reduce federal spending and waste.

During the press conference, Trump spoke to reporters when he was asked about Biden's cancer diagnosis. Trump's response is a sharp turn from the Truth Social post he had put out on May 18, where he expressed best wishes to Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden.

Calling his former political opponent "moderate," Trump said that Biden is "not a smart person" but a "vicious person."

"If you feel sorry for him, don't feel so sorry, because he's vicious. What he did with his political opponent and all the people that he hurt- he hurt a lot of people," Trump said, referring to his conviction that took place under the Biden administration.

"I really don't feel sorry for him," Trump concluded.

Trump's comments come after Biden's first public comments following his cancer diagnosis during an annual event at Veterans Memorial Park in New Castle, Delaware, where the former president did not hold back from criticizing Trump.

Earlier this month, Biden's office announced that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, with the former president exploring "treatment options."

"Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone," a statement from Biden's personal office said.

Biden, who resides in Wilmington, Delaware, with former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, shared a selfie with their cat, Willow, on Monday.

"Cancer touches us all," Biden wrote. "Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support."

Netizens were quick to slam Trump for his comments about Biden on X.

"A real leader would never be this heartless," an X user, Daniel Aros, wrote.

"That's a horrible thing to say," said another user.

One referred to the Truth Social post Trump had put out following Biden's diagnosis on May 18.

"Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery," Trump had written.

"I guess we know now for sure what we all suspected. Trump didn't write this," the user said, referring to the Truth Social post.

They knew who and what he was when they nominated and elected him. They did it anyway. They could at least have nominated someone that was a normal human being but they refused to.

Trump is the moral equivalent of a snot bubble! His followers are NO BETTER if they support this kinda thinking. How Christian of them?

I don't see anything that disputes the claim.

You know how it works. They'll deflect and defend anything and everything trump says. And then we wonder why Hillary called them deplorable. It's because they are.

Nothing in the article makes reference to the actual quote but I did end up seeing it posted elsewhere, so that's my bad. It's a terribly bad article, nonetheless.

So now you know it's true but still continue. "Things that make you go hmmmmm for $500 Alex."

The only reason I posted this particular article is because it was the first one I could find in print after seeing him actually say it. I knew more and more media outlets would be reporting it and smiled while reading your responses.

So the quotation marks here don't tell you the actual quote and the article didn't tell you this was his response to Biden's cancer diagnosis?

Welp, that article goes to further demonstrate Trump was not the original sender of the empathy tweet, something that should surprise nobody.
