What's happened to me is the excact same thing that happened to me in the lead up to the Iraq war. The intel doesn't add up. In this case it's even worse.................
America’s spies say Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon. Trump dismisses that assessment
WASHINGTON (AP) — Tulsi Gabbard left no doubt when she testified to Congress about Iran’s nuclear program earlier this year.
The country was not building a nuclear weapon, the national intelligence director told lawmakers, and its supreme leader had not reauthorized the dormant program even though it had enriched uranium to higher levels.
But President Donald Trump dismissed the assessment of U.S. spy agencies during an overnight flight back to Washington as he cut short his trip to the Group of Seven summit to focus on the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
“I don’t care what she said,” Trump told reporters. In his view, Iran was “very close” to having a nuclear bomb.
Trump’s statement aligned him with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has described a nuclear-armed Iran as an imminent threat, rather than with his own top intelligence adviser. Trump was expected to meet with national security officials in the Situation Room on Tuesday as he plans next steps.
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politi...r-weapon-trump-dismisses-that-assessmentThere is much more to the article at the link. None of which has anything at all to do with what you stated or nor did anything you were responding to in any way support Iran.
We had foreign allies whose intel directly disputed what W was telling us about that "stockpile of WMD" that Saddam supposedly had. In this case our very own trump appointed Director of National Intelligence totally, entirely disputes that Iran was developing any nuclear weapon. Not so long ago trump took the word of Putin over our intelligence community. He is once again denying what our intelligence community is saying in favor of the words of a foreign leader.
Maybe you're all for military action when our own government can't get their stories straight. Me? Not so much.
We were in the middle of ongoing negotiations with Iran about their nuclear program. Netanyahu blew that all up. He undermined negotiations with a military strike. In case you forgot W ran out U.N. inspectors in Iraq who were being given access to inspect anywhere, any time they wanted who had to that point found nothing.
Do you remember how Iraq worked out? There were no WMD's. If you support a very good chance we may be repeating a mistake from our past you have at it. I would rather try to learn from history and not repeat those mistakes. I care far more about the life of our service men and women that I do supporting a foreign government of any kind by entering into a war that isn't needed and might have been avoided. That's what happened to me.
