I am not sure on the specifics, but there is a significant differance between the core system and the premium system. The premium has a wireless controller vs a wired controller. The Premium has the following feature that you can buy later as options on the core. Hard Drive (entire reason to go Premium) Play Original Xbox games Ethernet Cable Headset Xbox Live Silver HD AV cable basically the Premium comes with a better hard drive and all of the equipment to play x-box live along with the HD cable adapter. Which would easily coast you more if you bought it seperately. Found this with google
