Maybe he’s practicing to become a Nascar driver after football. All joking aside someone in the FO should sit down and talk to him AND his agent about this nonsense.

His career aside, he's running the risk of his own life (and others). A mistake or two is bad, but can be understood ... but this many times is a red flag IMO

Exactly. If that's the number of times he's been caught.... You know he's doing it basically "all the time".

Don't Post but Been following the board for over 20 years and a loyal Browns fan for over 70 years back when Otto was slinging the ball to Ray the rabbit and Loe the toe was spitting the uprights. (81 now) I was triggered by this incident with Myles to post. I have coached baseball football and tennis for 60 years at high school level and have seen a lot of athletes of different personalities and leadership qualities. Some in quiet ways and some more demonstrative. You guys all know what I'm saying. But there is a common theme I see in my past team leaders. Well there's more but relative to this incident its ...Lead by following.. The leaders before us, the team comrade, The team game structure, and the speed limit, Show your effort and you will be a leader and you don't necessarily need to be all pro. but that does help but that now that takes even more discipline because you are more scrutinized. Myles is a freak athlete. But not a good leader. How many times does it take to get busted for excessive speeding to learn? Size 60 jersey and size 2 helmet?!?! . And I wish he had the motor his ride has.

There are trends with his poor decision-making. This reminds me how he acted earlier in the year with his trade demands and getting in front of every mic that would listen to him ramble. He is a gifted athlete that still wants to act like a child.

10s...welcome to the board.

Concerning MG's speeding..how the hell is he allowed to continue driving with so many violations..?

I would have lost my license for at least 6 months by the 2nd speeding violation.

Someone is pulling strings to help MG avoid the punishment he deserves.

Myles is going to kill someone (or himself) driving at these ridiculous speeds.

Ohio needs to take his license away for 6 months to drive the point home..that driving in Ohio is a privilege that can be taken away if a driver breaks the law.

Here's the thing. When you are rich the cost of a traffic ticket is a drop in the bucket. By any measure such a fine does not serve as a deterrent.

I'm sorry to hear about you losing your friend and I understand why that would make this a very sensitive and critical issue for you.

I wouldn't consider using the media as a tool to get a deal done is what can be considered " trashing the franchise for weeks."

Often times we see both players and teams use the press in such a manner. It's nothing odd, unusual or special.

If the Browns want to show that they don’t revert to their usual double standards and that they actually mean business with accountability then I expect Berry to make a public statement about the organizations view about serial offenders after their star player was caught with his sixth speeding offense.

If the Browns mouth piece MKC has some sort of integrity then I want to see her lecture Garrett similar to the way she did with Sanders.

I hope to see something today or tomorrow because doing nothing and just be silent just worsen the situation and the sadly a sign that this’s still a franchise that treat people differently depending on what suits their own agenda and interests.

That’s not something to be proud about.

I'm not sure, but this might have happened on his drive home from the airport or Browns' facility after flying back to Cleveland from the first preseason game-- not out and about late. Still a stupid thing to do.

yeah, the timing could align with this. Not sure what time the team would get home

“Just not smart”

"It's something that we've addressed with him," Berry said. "He understands the implications. He understands the consequences. I think the thing is it's not just about yourself. It's not just about having a joyride. It's not just about driving a car really fast. It's about the fact that you can endanger other people. ... It's just dangerous. It's not something we want our guys doing. It's not something they should be doing."

Andrew Berry June 2025.

——————————————————————

The reason I pinpoint Berry is because it all starts with him and the owners.
Those who think otherwise are at best naive…

How can you create a successful environment if you don’t hold everyone to the same standard?
When the organization continues to turn their blind eye to bad apples, reward some of them with monster contracts and continuing afterwards as nothing happened then the chances of succeeding is slim.

It’s such an out dated way of running an organization. The British comedy show Fawlty Towers with John Cleese comes in to mind and sadly that’s what the Cleveland Browns are at the moment. A laughing stock and a blueprint how you shouldn’t do. It’s so depressing.

Shedeur Sanders was rightly criticized and he should have know better. No excuses. His age and inexperience gives him som leeway but not much.
Myles Garrett situation is different. The face of the franchise. The Browns star player. Recently got a record breaking monster contract that just screamed “throw money at the problem until it go away”,.

Andrew Berry has a golden opportunity to show that he means business. To implement true accountability and not just empty words.
The Browns will not win anything of significance this season. Flacco will not last until the playoffs by starting every week. The quality of the roster in general is at best top 15-20, probably closer to 20-30.

Pessimistic view? Maybe but without a change in leadership and management this’s where we’re.

Regarding Garrett!

1. Stripp him the C or whatever letter he got on his chest for a season. Not that hard.

2. Make him do community work for a day. He can stand outside a school in a Browns uniform with a yellow vest and stop cars. Fitting for a man of his size. Trust me it will create more good will than building a whole new stadium with following ticket prices who cost a fortune

3. Take away his parking credentials inside Berea for a month. If he can afford speeding tickets then he can afford parking tickets.

I perfectly understand that this will never happen but a GM with authority would probably immediately take the opportunity to show that his organization has standard’s that every employee regardless of status or salary has to respect and follow.

Come on MKC! Ask the right questions for once.

You do understand there is a contract in place that limits what the Browns can and can not do in forms of punishment outside of the contract signed and greed upon, right? That there is a collective bargaining agreement as it pertains to the NFL code of conduct that every team must abide by, right?

I'm pretty sure you do. I'm pretty sure you know teams can't just arbitrarily make BS up and do what they want as what you're suggesting. But then I expect no less considering the source.

Why’s it you never fully read a post before you answer? Happened several times.

Is it your lack of impulse control, your eagerness to respond without fully incorporate the context or is it just you being you?

Instead of reverting into “dawg” fights why not try to talk about how the Browns can change the lack of culture . Because it’s lack of something and I really hope you see that?

I doubt we strip Myles as being a captain but he should be for this year IMO

It's that I'm not a fan of trolls. Pretty simple really. You never talk about the Browns. You only make up reasons and find excuses to complain about them. When and if that ever changes so will my responses to you. The Browns aren't perfect. They make their fair share of mistakes. I get that. But in the world of Flo they never do anything right and there is nothing positive to say about them.

Is that due to your lack of impulse control? Your eagerness to always be negative about the team? Or is it just you being you? Because I really hope you see that.

The defense so far looking really good and most of our drafts except Gabriel has by far exceeded my expectations.
Our offense is till short of almost everything except TE and WR1.

With that said it’s hard to overlook the lack of leadership. It’s like a wet blanket over the whole organization.
For every good decision made we seem to make two mediocre or bad ones. That’s so frustrating.

I don’t think Myles Garrett deserved a new improved contract. He’s a questionable character full of himself. His latest is going to a presser without his shirt on is everything I need to know. How can I spin that view to something positive?

Joe Flacco was great in a couple of games in 2023 but in the playoffs the Texans exposed him. He’s not the answer in 2025, read his stats from last season and we should be glad if he last until November. How do I spin that to be something good?

I really like Shedeur! Everything he does screams potential.

Dillon Gabriel is 5 11 and too short to make it. Wait and see…. bla bla…. It’s difficult to talk about something positive when the fundamentals aren’t there. (not his fault)

To wrap it up I’m looking forward to see our defense line because they’re the bedrock of our team.
Without them this’s another frustrating season.

Gabriel's fundamentals are most certainly there. Just not the height you think is required. There are currently NFL starters that dispute that. But then when you select a QB in the third or fifth round it isn't because you think you just drafted the best QB out there. It's just a shot in the dark like Sanders. If you manage to get a quality backup QB out if the deal you came out ahead.

Garrett has been in the NFL since 2017 with some of the best stats of any DE in the league. You may not like him but he has proven his abilities and reliability over the long haul. He was going to get that big money by some team. We don't have a pass rasher anywhere near his ability to replace him with. He has a very rare skill set. I would much rather he be here than somewhere else. Especially if that somewhere else meant our O had to face him twice a year.

They wouldn't be the bedrock of this team if t weren't for Garrett.

As far as leadership on the field goes I sort of have to give that one to you in terms of being vocal and visible. The thing is, there are other ways to be a leader on the field. Some feel leading by example in their play is better than running their mouth. So there are certainly different ways of evaluating not only what a leader is but who such leaders are.

Off the field players have a life just like anyone else. They get far more media attention and should always keep that in mind. But if people see speeding tickets as some gauge of morality and criminal behavior, they better hope they have no skeletons in their closets. Seems more than a little nit picky to me.

Nice post, pit.

Let me add:

Leaders are born, not made.

There’s been countless great players in every team sport who weren’t great leaders, but if they produce at a high level, they’re doing what they are supposed to do. As long as they’re not a locker-room cancer, as long as they stick by the team-first mentality. They don’t need to wave Pom Poms .

Wow, Judkins now set to join the party and we added a burner who was compared to Jaylen waddle. Seems like this offense could get a lot more interesting very soon. This could be a steal, just hoping no more allegations come out of the woodwork. Go Browns!!
