don't blame him

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

One day I would like to see the roster moves be "Browns release Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski".

With an old QB starting and another rookie QB as a back up ahead of him is a better option ?

Sanders would have learned a whole lot more being a back up for Jackson then he will learn in Cleveland.

He really believes he's a starter ?

Only time will tell.

I'm ready to see Watson before Sanders and Gabriel

Seeing JOK as an addition or even as a backup while he fully recovers -- would add another dimension to the D. Sadly it won't do much to aid an ailing, fragile, past it's prime OL.

DeisleDawg why would you prefer to see Watson than Gabriel? Watson has done nothing but underwhelm and show through a course of 19 games where he has had maybe 1 actually good-great game that he has nothing left ? Gabriel has done nothing but provide a little optimism given his incredibly short opportnities in preseason and at the end of 1 game in garbage time?

Glad that GL is here. Any help at receiver is welcome. Good luck to the PS "newbies" and the roster.

Only 2 games on a team struggling for offense with 2 back up OL.

And a QB averaging 5 yards/attempt, who has a statue-like pocket presence.

UGGGGHHHHHH......

Not that this injury really changed the narrative (more like reinforced it), but it can't be anymore clear that we need to somehow acquire 2 starting tackles and probably a guard in this coming off-season. That is a tall task by itself, let alone all the other work we need to do.

sucks for Dawand and our team. Our OT situation is dire

oober, I agree with your thought process, but it goes a little deeper than that and is starting way too late.

The Browns have 5 key players whose contracts expire at seasons end. Those players have to be resigned by the beginning of the new league year around March 1 or be considered free agents. Once they are considered Unrestricted Free Agents, their dead cap is immediately due in the 2026 season, all of it. Due to them being UFA's, they cannot be deferred to a Post June 1 release because they are "NOT" under contract. Also keep in mind, the Browns must be under the cap for the 51 rostered players at the beginning of the 'New Season" on or around March 1st.

Currently, the Browns are showing a cap deficient and have no funds to sign any new player, much less resign or pay the dead cap. Of course, this will change but this clearly shows what kind of hole they're in just across the o-line:

LG Bitonio - age 35 - 16M APY current contract - 2026 Dead Cap $23,504,000
RG Teller - age 32 - 14.2M APY current contract - 2026 Dead Cap $21,304,000
C Polic - age 31 - 6M APY current contract - 2026 Dead Cap $4,368,000
RT Conklin - age 32 - 9M APY current contract - 2026 Dead Cap $12,659,327
TE Njoku - age 30 - 13.687M APY current contract - 2026 Dead Cap $13,935,000

Total Dead Cap - $75,230,327

Add in the possibility that the Browns are considering releasing Watson, his Dead Cap with a Pre June 1 Cut would be $131,163,378 or a Post June 1 Cut would be $80,716,514 in 2026 and $50,446,864 in 2027. If Watson plays out his contract, his 2027 March 1 Dead Cap charge will be a minimum of $50,446,864 providing the Browns pay his full salary and prorated bonus of $80,716,514 in 2026.

"Tall task" is an understatement.

Let's not forget the Browns are currently 19 million under the cap and plan to roll most of that over into next year. They will more than likely resign some players that factor into their future like Teller, Njoku, Newsome, and possibly Pocic to avoid their dead cap hit and to push some $ back into later years. We will see what they do there. They will get around $44 million reimbursed if Watson misses entire year from his insurance policy they took on him. Will have to wait to see if he misses entire year. They are supposed to get some cap relief but not sure how much from JOK missing entire year.

Either way every year posters say the cap, the cap, the cap and every year it has not been an issue. While they are not signing big name free agents, they have signed some impact players see Malik Collins. They do have 2 1st round picks and need to re build this offensive line but they won't be replacing 4 starters all at once. Their top priorities in 2026 off season will be finding a franchise QB and rebuilding the o line. Zac Zinter and Luke Wyplier will play a role in that rebuild also. Then in 2027 draft get a big time play maker at WR. This team is not winning a Super Bowl in 2025 or 2026 maybe if QB pans out 2027???? I just don't trust this FO picking the QB of the future in next year's draft.

We need Jones to stay healthy next season and play RT, and we need a starting LT.

Corneilous Lucas is still under contract next year as a backup OT. He played LT tackle yesterday for the Browns. I think the Browns LT experiment with Dawand Jones is over. They had him playing RT yesterday before he was injured. I would assume that our two 1st round draft picks next year will be a QB and a LT. I think they will sign a tackle in free agency or draft another tackle in the top 5 rounds to compete with Jones at RT.

I hope berry can swing some sort of trade for a LT. Conklin probably won't play much this season because he never does. With this line I dont doubt that we are gonna see all 3 qbs because of injuries.cant see flacco staying healthy with this line .

Lions put up 225 rushing yards against the Ravens. Imagine if Stefanski actually liked to run the ball.

Yep. Seems to be a reoccurring issue.

I thought the 7 sacks was more impressive. Flacco should have extra ice packs ready after the game.

How long do we stick with joe?? Loved him two years ago, but man he’s struggled this year…. Wouldn’t be surprised if we seen one of the rookies starting in the next few games

Everyone from the top on down has said that they need to get a look at Gabriele to evaluate him this season. I don't believe it's a question of if we will see one of the rookies within the next few games. I also don't believe there's a question about which rookie that will be.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Just saw this elsewhere on the www

2025 Browns Rushing Defense through 3 games
2.3 YPC 57 YPG

2000 Ravens - won Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer (benched Tony banks mid season)
2.7 YPC / 60.63 YPG

1985 Bears “‘Monsters of the Midway” - won Super Bowl with Jim McMahon
3.7 YPC / 82.4 YPG

1976 steelers “Steel curtain” - won Super Bowl with Terry Bradshaw 70.9 career QBR
3.2 YPC / 69.86 YPG

Early days ... but .... damn !

Those numbers are a proper perspective.

If we get more turnovers the Browns will be the talk of the league *on defense.

Even more impressive is what teams the Browns defenses faced Bengals, Ravens, and Packers. Before season started all were predicted to be playoff teams.

K Andre Szmyt has earned the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for games played Sept. 18-22 (Week 3), the National Football League announced on Wednesday. With two seconds left on the clock, the Browns field goal unit took the field for a 55-yard field goal attempt.
