Oober did you notice we had luke whypler ,backup center playing left side “tight end”? At least occupying that spot. Really just a 6th o lineman but we still did not open many holes. Need a substantial rebuild in o linemen.

I did not... that is a good observation. I have seen a chart that has us dead last for pass-blocking and middle of the road for run blocking. Of the holes DG has in his game, holding the ball doesn't seem to be one of them.

Have been driving all day and listening to podcasts. So don’t have a link and cannot confirm. However, one of the Cleveland browns podcasts said that while he only had 84 yards total, he had 92 yards after contact

Some of those tweets have me thinking "let's not make too much out of going against Miami" more than anything else.

Believe it or not, there are teams in a worse state than ours.

It's not going to happen and it's not about Dylan. OL that's falling apart & WR's that can't seem to get open and drop the ball when they do. But mostly that OL. There's no no time to let anything develop downfield. If we field an extra lineman it means one less guy down field, one extra defender. I'd say just get really good with the quick outs, the timing stuff and the run game. The long ball ain't there for any QB this year.

Well he isn't going through progressions .... is that because he can't? Is that because he is a rookie and the game is still a bit too fast for him at the moment? Is it because he's too short? Is it because of the OL and he's been instructed to get rid of the ball quickly (or he's simply in self preservation mode?)? Way too soon to know I would say.

I worry that he can't see the middle of the field honestly. He seems to struggle hitting passes in the center of the field and dump offs

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Hit behind the line and still made positive yards, or, like on his long run, breaking tackles.

He was hit behind the line... often.

Third round rookie QB in his third NFL start? Some people seem to be worrying a little early.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Wonder if it's the same ones who claimed RG III and Carson Wentz were sure fire Hall of Famers after heir first seasons.

It’s nice that TB said that and I hope he’s right but it’s just an opinion. Let’s hope it comes to fruition.

THIS is what we're trying to build a narrative out of? Wow.

People have built the opposite narrative based on much less. But I do agree with you. This kid is a third round draft pick who has started three games. He has been fairly accurate and hasn't turned the ball over but that's far too little with which to build any narrative.

I like DG and I'm not sure why I'm getting even a little fired up about this, but this is the definition of "stats are for losers".

There are a handful of quarterbacks that have far surpassed this weirdly specific metric being thrown out there to inexplicably tie DG to everyone's current-favorite measuring stick Tom Brady.

To add: This is a big part of the offense (rookies with x amount of games under their belt). Would I love to see the offense clicking and firing? Of course.

However, I also have to be realistic, the O is operated by a rookie QB. Our 1-2 punch at RB....rookies. Our receivers, (take out Juedy) Thrash, Bond, Laradain....rookies or second year players. TE - Fannin....rookie. OT..KT Levenston, second year with just a couple starts all with the Browns under his belt.

These aren't wiley veterans. Some will keep developing, some will hit their ceilings. What I can be frustrated with is seeing veteran lineman missing assignments, not being in position to open the hole, watching every MLB have a field day against our team b/c we haven't figured out how to get to the second level (I can't haven't watched the All-22 game however, every game leading up to the Miami game, it's happened)

I think it was more of a tongue-in-cheek post by CBS not to be taken too seriously.

I keep forgetting to post this, but we are 2-0, both wins at home at home, when we wear the all/Brown uniforms. Just saying, anyone else notice that?

I don't know how you can judge the QB play when you basically need to rebuild the OL , the wide receiver room is totally dysfunctional and Ski is your play caller.

There are times Dillon gets hit as soon as he snaps the ball. It's very hard for a play to develop and throw downfield if the QB can't stay upright long enough for the WR to get open. We basically don't have an offensive line. Even Judkins is getting hit behind the line of scrimmage. Take away Judkins long TD run and he looked really bad with less than 2 ypc.

You just can't win football games with no offensive line.

The only reason the Brown's won the game was so they wouldn't get to draft in the top 3 and because the other team has an even worse oline
