Well, Since it so slow here these days.. What's the feeling on this game..? Beat the hated Steelers and make then beat the Ravens next week for the AFC north..
At a cost of probably sliding back a bit in the draft. Not sure how much it would cost us in draft position yet but I can't ever hope to lose against these guys.

Winning is a temporary thing because you always want to win especially against the Steelers.

However winning only hurts us. Especially if the Raiders beat the Giants.

You should always play to win the game. If you aren't going to do that just forfeit. People can call tanking strategy or call it the smart thing to do under certain circumstances. But it's poor sportsmanship and is the very antithesis of why games are played and the opposite of real competition.

You may lose and you may not be the better team. But that's not the same thing as losing on purpose.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Winners win and losers lose.

Play to win.

There is no evidence that tanking leads to long term success.

Play to win. I can't envision myself ever rooting for my beloved Browns to lose. I know it hurts our draft position, but I can't root for them to lose. No matter what any of us want what will happen will happen. I want them to win.

Play to win. Period. But we won't. And there will be lots of excuses for the Stefanski apologists, and Stefanski will tell us they need to play better and that he needs to do better. Rinse and repeat.

Always play to win from the FO to the players. I do not care about draft position. If they all give 100% and lose and get a higher draft pick fine. If they win and cost them the higher draft pick again fine. If they lose on purpose that is not fine. Make the best decisions possible at the draft position you earn. The Steelers and Raven draft well and they never tank.

Hey what about Worst case scenario! Win super ugly with your defense and your “QB of the future” once again throwing more pics than TDs and looking thoroughly mediocre at best in the process. Take yourself out of the QB running OR make it ridiculously expensive to move up, thereby depleting yourself of needed additional resources. Not that that would stop us! Great job guys.

And for the record, I used to be a always play for the win guy. That’s certainly always true in college in high school. But the pros it’s different. Half the game is securing resources and managing money. And the value curve is an exponential one where the amount you give up between number 10 and number five is vastly less than what you give up from five to one. Yeah I get it culture and all that. But the truth is talent and value. We need the leverage. We need better players and we need more of them. We need to NOT be spending lots of resources to move up. So better or worse this will definitely take us out of the running for Mendoza unless we mortgage the farm.

Well this win takes us likely out of the Mendoza sweepstakes. I'm guessing this drops us to #4 or #5 thus putting us into either a tradedown scenario, draft the best WR, or LT. Not a bad spot...

Exactly how I feel. Fans and media talk about culture. Losing does nothing to help your culture, I don't car about draft position if I have to choose to lose.

This team needs a LT and a RT more than any other position. With this defense if the Browns can put an offense together that can average 20+ next season this team will be in playoff contention.

Everyone is talking about draft position including me and justifiably so but honestly if you think about it when did we ever take advantage of our lofty draft positions other than Myles or Joe T.? WE give our opinions as to what guys we should draft and where and that's fine but ultimately the FO will make the decisions. That's their job and they get paid well for it. Let them worry about it. I was very happy to beat Pittsburgh today and I want us to win next week. I enjoyed watching that win today. We don't get to see too many of them!

It will always feel great beating the Steelers.

They were playing for the North title. Now they have to beat the Ravens.

It’s nice to win a game especially against Pittsburgh.

Glad we won, with no yellow towels waved when the clock expired.

We’ll be drafting fairly high anyway, and I am convinced that SS has shown enough to move forward with him, so we will not draft a QB in the first couple rounds; all of those who like shiny new things will be disappointed.

We can now work the 2026 draft in many different ways.

Final home game of the season, got the W.

On to Cincinnati. wink

We can still draft a QB in a later round. You know one of those guys that was supposed to be a First rounder that isn’t anymore.

It's a wonderful feeling knowing those towel waving bozos will have a long drive home.

Yeah but we can use our high draft pick, and Jags first-rounder, to do a lot of things.

My wish list at the moment without knowing what players could be there in the early rounds: two OL and an impact WR, and a trade-down is in play.

If we trade down I hope it is for a 1st next year.

While Sanders is looking mostly decent, I don't see him as the guy who is going to standout to be a top 10 or better QB.

So, use this year to nab a few lineman and receivers, maybe a DB and roll in to next year, win our 6-8 games and be stuck in the middle.

Ha, thats funny. My wife and I were having the same discussion while watching the game.... We came to the conclusion that if it were any other team, play for the draft,,, But the steelers... nope, you just gotta go for the win.

Next season..just play to win every game, knowing that next season will need to focus on improving and developing the young players.

So do the same thing you are doing every game of every year then?
