"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I was kidding. I didn't know of the tech issues, but 3-12 doesn't motivate people. Especially when some posters seem to enjoy something to complain about.

This game may have convinced me that we need to rely on Sanders as the quarterback next year. Use the draft for the many positions of need. Trade back down and get an extra first for next year as a security blanket.

Too many rteally bad decisions. 2 INT plus one that should have been a pick 6. Not good.

There are things I like about Sanders game. But then he makes some really head scratching throws.

Well, we lucked out with Steelers having no receivers and defense held up . Not bad for a team that did nothing on offense in 2nd half.

I really thought that Steelers receiver was gonna catch their last pass play at the end. (((Whew!))) It's always great to beat the Steelers, even if that screws up our draft position.

Nah, the board just keeps crashing. I tried getting on a couple of times at the beginning and couldn’t get on so I just put down the phone.

Number one take away was they played hard.

Easy game to lose. The Steelers had a lot riding on this game.

Shedeur was playing great ball and then brain dead on three throws.

No way Myles was going to get the record. They game planned it so he could not. He had one close shot but Rodgers experience and the game plan were clear.

Campbell and Ward were outstanding all day. Great effort by the defense. We have a kicker.

To be fair, you don't have Dawg4life's several hundred posts that added pages upon pages.

Two players that are often overlooked in this draft Bond and Szmyt. They have a chance to be around for a while.

Graham is also playing well now.

Fix the OL and add ran impact wide receiver are the tasks. I am neutral on Shedeur. That will be a tough call.

Peter King used to do a piece called "Ten things I think I think" ... here's my version for this week.

I think the website seems to be fixed - my issues getting on have resolved.

I think it is quieter on the board because the team sucks, not because of what other posters might want to try and imply about "3 or 4 posters". There has always been acrimony on the board. The level of quiet is beyond anything we have seen even thru 1-31.

I think the team actually looked prepared and well coached - and with a "worse" OL than we have had in other games. So top marks to the coaching for the Pit game - but it begs the question, WTF were you doing the games where we looked like badly prepared scrubs when the excuse was how bad the OL was? Was it only last week that we had 3 penalties before the first offensive snap?

I think Sanders has convinced me there is enough there to let him run it back next year, use this draft to try to acquire the talent needed on offense. Also trade back and get an extra pick next year if we can and assuming there isn't a player they covet when our pick(s) are up. Sanders threw some really nice passes and showed big improvement early - before starting to fall back into the habit of trying to make the big play and a couple of rookie mistakes.

I think the D came to play vs Pit - and despite games where the D has been maligned for giving up big plays, the stats don't lie. On a team where the offense scored 20 points 3 times, on a team that has punted more than any other team in the NFL ... ergo the D is getting zero help from offense (or special teams) - they have held up remarkably well. Kudos.

I think all the attention on MG isn't helping him. The sack record would be nice as an individual honor but meaninless for the Browns - Cnci should be a good opportunity to get the record.

I think this years draft haul is amazing. I cant's say enough about the draft class. It's literally a unicorn of a draft class for the Browns. And even Sanders the RB we signed when Q went down, showed above average ability (and better than Ford). As mentioned above by another poster, even Bond and Szmyt who have gone under the radar because of how outstanding the other headliners are - and they could be part of the team for a while also. There's none of the rookies I love more than schwesinger.

I think I don't trust Berry to find the replacements for the OL and WR core - a brief review of 6 years of OL and WR signings/drafts shows that Berry has been woeful in this regard. One brilliant draft out of 6 doesn't mean that Berry has suddenly mastered the art of drafting. Statistically this will remain an anomally. Even some of those considered to be 'the best' GM's and drafters don't/didn't consistently have the sort of draft we just had. And it's more likely Berry will revert to his average than to repeat the 2025 draft. Watson had an impact - but the simple fact is the Browns are restricted by the cap due to some big contracts and dead money. The OL is old, injury prone and this season's troubles were easily forecast and needs a minimum of 3 new starters. Overall the roster is considerably worse than 6 years ago when Berry took the helm. Period.

I think this year like years before - Stefanski remains something of an enigma. He's coached well at times. Won coach of the year (twice). He's also shown horrible flaws and repeated them, sometimes frequently. The team played hard today and looked well coached in a pretty low scoring, tight game - but in other games this season they have been flat and badly prepared. "Badly Prepared" doesn't actually cover the new ways in which we've managed to look inept and clownish. Obviously when you win with 13 points - then a lot of that comes down to the D. When Woods was the D coordinator the Stefanski fans said the D wasn't his area of influence/responsibility .... well the same holds true now. The defensive performance is due to Schwartz - so easy to debate which coach should get the most credit for a game like today. The reality is the HC gets the props - and should also own the losses.

I think that no matter what happens against Cinci - Haslam has a huge decision to make at the end of the season. Personally I do not trust either KS or AB to turn a corner and become good/great. They would be gone - and fear of not getting the next HC/GM choices right would not prevent me from moving on.

I doubt that many fans were familiar with Carson Schwesinger before we drafted him.

That of course is no longer the case. It is rare that a rookie linebacker has the impact on a team like he has had.

He got a game ball after the game. The team erupted with applause. They know that he was playing on one leg by the end of the game.

He has played this entire season like a veteran presence and driving force.

We are lucky to have Carson on the Browns.

I have been a fan for a long time and have never seen a better rookie class come to the team. We have the beginning of a core of players that will lead this team the Hungry Dawgs.

I still don't know if Shedeur is our guy for the future, but I do like the kid and am really pulling for him. Being this QB class doesn't look to hot at this time I would like to see him get another year as he is making progress. The 1st INT. yesterday wasn't his fault the 2nd was all on him. It's a rookie mistake and he has to learn from it. I would also keep AB and KS. The team played hard yesterday and that can be attributed to the HC and his staff. They haven't quit on him and that says something. AB had a very good draft, and Campbell was a good addition along with a few other young guys. I would stay the course for another year. With another solid draft and FA period we can easily contend next year. JMO

I understand your thought process.

Except on one hand you praise the rookie class and then don't trust Berry to fix the OL and WR groups.

Here is the deal Berry is not alone. He has an entire department of people who help in the evaluation process.

When Berry was hired he was 32 years old. He became executive vice president of football operations and general manager of the Browns. His hiring in 2020 made him the youngest general manager in NFL history.

Most people get better with experience. On the job experience is how we learn.

I see no reason why Berry should not get better at doing his job.

KS was 37 when hired as a first time head coach. The same applies.

Both guys made mistakes as expected. No different than rookie players.

These guys know this team. We all know the cost of the Watson trade.

IMO we should stay the course. I think they give the best chance to improve.

Next year it is no mystery that the OL and WR groups have to improve. If in fact they do improve and we get more consistent play at quarterback.

We will be a much better team.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Berry has a 6 yr record judging OLine and his record speaks for itself. Whatever method Berry was using, his OL selections were below average and possibly the worst in the NFL.

Face it, Berry had 6 seasons to rebuild the OL to avoid what happened this year with the OL performance. He didn't even select quality backup OL to develop into starters.

I'm speaking REALITY..! Don't try to make Berry something he is not or act like he did ok at drafting OL and WR.

IMO, it is obvious that Berry needs help in his weakest areas of drafting. The Browns cannot afford to blow the picks at OL and WR. Hire Berry the kind of help he needs to judge talent in his weakest areas. jmo..!

The fact of the matter is I believe Browns fans see what they want to see and it's greatly influenced by their orange tinted glasses. I mean I get it. But let's be honest here. All QB's have int's that are tipped balls. All of them have int's where the WR ran the wrong route. That's just a part of the game. The reality is your eyes and hearts cause you to see some things that are simply not there.

Sanders has 7td. passes and 10int's. He has a QBR of 20.2 and a season completion percentage of 57.4.

I'm not trying to stick up for Dillon Garbriel here because I don't see him as the answer either but by contrast he had a completion percentage of 59.5 with 7td's and 2 int's.

I don't want the Browns to draft a QB just to draft a QB. So we may be stuck with Sanders next season due to default. But if they can get what they see as "their guy" they need to get him.
