We simply do not believe the lies the media are telling and want the criminal element that came here illegally removed. You don't believe the truth about it ether. Even when a police chief tells it to you. Even when the man in the video drug out half naked had his citizenship validated. Even when trump said just yesterday that "mistakes have been made". If it doesn't say what you want it to, you refuse to believe it. Facts be damned. We want the criminal element removed too. We just don't think profiling people, sending in thousands of ICE agents into a single city at a time and detaining people just because they're brown is the way to do it. And anyone that believers otherwise? They only care about their own rights and as far as they're concerned the rights of everyone else can go to hell. A Navajo man was just detained by ICE today. Let me guess? A "media lie"? ‘Makes you sick’: Navajo man says he was detained by ICE https://www.wdbj7.com/2026/01/21/makes-you-sick-navajo-man-says-he-was-detained-by-ice/

I'm pretty sure that's actually a composite character in this historical fiction.
That technique is usually used to streamline complex narratives; in this case there is nothing complex about the narrative.

Here are the people you keep choosing to believe............................. Jury finds Chicago man not guilty of circulating $10K bounty on life of top Border Patrol leader Bovino Jurors deliberated less than 4 hours before returning the favorable verdict for 37-year-old Juan Espinoza Martinez. By The Associated Press CHICAGO — A man accused of offering a $10,000 bounty over Snapchat for the life of a top Border Patrol leader was found not guilty on Thursday in the first criminal trial stemming from the Chicago-area immigration crackdown that started last year. Jurors deliberated less than 4 hours before returning the favorable verdict for 37-year-old Juan Espinoza Martinez. He faced one count of murder-for-hire and up to 10 years in prison if convicted in the first criminal trial out of the Chicago area immigration crackdown. Testimony lasted mere hours in the federal trial that’s the latest test of the Trump administration’s credibility on federal surges that have played out from Minnesota to Maine. Espinoza Martinez, who wore a suit and tie, listened to intently with his arms crossed near his stomach. He did not speak but hugged his attorneys afterward. A message left with DHS after Thursday’s verdict wasn’t immediately returned. At the heart of the government’s case are Snapchat messages sent from Espinoza Martinez to his younger brother and a friend who turned out to be a government informant. One read in part “10k if u take him down,” along with a picture of Gregory Bovino, a Border Patrol official who has led aggressive crackdowns nationwide, including last year in the Chicago area. “Those words do not indicate that this was a joke,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Yonan told jurors during closing arguments. “Those words have meaning. They are not innocent and harmless words.” But defense attorneys said the government didn’t show any evidence against Espinoza Martinez who sent the messages as “neighborhood gossip” after coming home from work and unwinding with beers. He didn’t follow up on the exchanges and had only a few dollars in his bank account. “Sending a message about gossip that you heard in the neighborhood, it’s not murder for hire,” his defense attorney Dena Singer told jurors. “It’s not a federal crime.” Prosecutors accused Espinoza Martinez of being “fixated and obsessed” with Bovino and cited other messages where he criticized the crackdown. Espinoza Martinez was arrested in October as the city of 2.7 million and surrounding suburbs were seeing a surge of federal immigration officers. Protests and standoffs with agents were common, particularly in the city’s heavily Mexican Little Village neighborhood where Espinoza Martinez lived. He did not testify at his trial. But attorneys played clips of his interview with law enforcement where he said he was confused about the charges and that he sent the messages without much thought while scrolling social media after work. “I didn’t threaten anyone,” he told investigators, interchanging English and Spanish at times in the interview. “I’m not saying that I was telling them to do it.” Born in Mexico, he’s lived in Chicago for years but doesn’t have citizenship. The Department of Homeland Security touted Espinoza Martinez’s arrest on social media with unredacted photos of his face, referring to him as a “depraved” gang member. Bovino has held the case up as an example of the increasing dangers faced by federal agents. Prosecutors included Yonan, the second-highest ranking federal prosecutor in the Chicago region. But several federal lawsuits in Chicago have fueled skepticism about DHS’s narratives. Of the roughly 30 criminal cases stemming from Operation Midway Blitz, charges have been dismissed or dropped in about half. In a notable lawsuit that forced Bovino to sit for depositions, a federal judge found he lied under oath including about alleged gang threats. Bovino did not testify at Espinoza Martinez’s trial. Nationwide, dozens of criminal cases tied to immigration operations have also crumbled. Federal prosecutors initially referred to Espinoza Martinez as a “ranking member” of the Latin Kings, but their lack of evidence led U.S. District Judge Joan Lefkow to bar testimony on the Chicago street gang at trial. According to the criminal complaint, Espinoza Martinez allegedly sent messages on behalf of the gang to other gang members. At trial, there were minor mentions of the gang, including Espinoza Martinez saying in his interview that he had nothing to do with the Latin Kings. His brother, Oscar, testified that he took the Snapchat messages as a joke and something he’d already seen on Facebook. Singer pointed out holes in the government’s case, including in the testimony of their first witness Adrian Jimenez. The 44-year-old owns a construction company and had been in touch with Espinoza Martinez over Snapchat about work. Unknown to Espinoza Martinez, he had also worked as a paid government informant over the years and shared the Snapchats with a federal investigator. Jimenez, who suffers from back problems, walked slowly with a limp to the witness chair and needed help getting up. “Would you solicit for hire an individual that was in that much pain and could barely walk?” Singer said to jurors. “That doesn’t make any sense.” https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...ting-10k-bounty-life-top-bord-rcna255501

PitDAWG- what is Watson saying about his search for new head coach?
ICE murders citizen- an ICE agent shot a citizen. Citizen knowingly or unknowingly ran her car into agent. He felt dangered and reacted in one or two seconds. Some like the outcome, some don't. A life was lost. Should be painful.
We got a President who a career "very trustful" person- Smith- stated publicly he tried to prevent election result from happening, and he stated he violated laws concerning classified information.....but, since he was elected President- power has its privileges. We shoot human beings clinging to a boat with missles, we force a nations "elected" leader to come to US to face our justice because we don't like him and want access to oil....but leave his tugs in power, we say we could invade Greenland if we chose......and we are surprised we have huge differences in our streets. WOW, what leaders we have in both parties. Unbelieveable.

Private autopsy shows Renee Good shot 3 times, including fatal head injury MINNEAPOLIS (TNND) — The law firm representing the family of Renee Good released the results from an independent autopsy after she was shot and killed on Jan. 7 by a federal immigration agent in Minneapolis. Good's family requested that Chicago-based Romanucci & Blandin commission the autopsy as part of the ongoing civil investigation into her death, according to a release. The preliminary findings concluded the following: There were three clear gunshot wound paths to Renee’s body One gunshot wound struck the left forearm, causing soft tissue hemorrhage One gunshot wound traversed the right breast without penetrating major organs One gunshot wound entered the left side of her head near the temple and exited the right side of her head The breast and left forearm wounds were not immediately life-threatening A fourth wound was a graze wound consistent with a firearm injury, but with no penetration “We believe the evidence we are gathering and will continue to gather in our investigation will suffice to prove our case," lead attorney Antonio M. Romanucci said. "The video evidence depicting the events of January 7, 2026, is clear, particularly when viewed through the standards of reasonable policing and totality of circumstances. Additionally, our legal team will continue its unwavering and proactive advocacy for Renee’s life and her family.” The results were consistent with what the Minneapolis Fire Department reported on the scene. She was "unresponsive, not breathing, with inconsistent, irregular, thready pulse activity,” the report from first responders read. Officials detailed finding two gunshot wounds to the right chest, one to Good's left forearm, "a possible wound with protruding tissue on the left side of the patient's head, bulging eyes with dilated pupils and blood discharging" from her left ear. "The results of the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy have not yet been released to the family or legal team," the family's law firm stated. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice (DOJ) served grand jury subpoenas to several Minnesota officials as part of an investigation into an alleged conspiracy to coerce or obstruct federal law enforcement during ICE operations. The offices of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey were served subpoenas by the FBI seeking records and communications. https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/...alz-frey-subpoenas-immigration-crackdown

FBI agent resigns over investigation into shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis, sources say The fatal shooting of Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer on Jan. 7 has sparked protests calling for ICE to leave the state. An FBI agent has resigned over the investigation into the fatal ICE shooting of Renee Good after Trump administration officials focused the probe more on the actions of Good and her partner and less on the officer who shot her, according to two people familiar with the decision. The agent, who was a supervisor in the Minneapolis field office, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday night. Good, 37, was fatally shot on Jan. 7 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross as she was in the driver’s seat of her SUV. The shooting sparked outcry and protest decrying the presence of federal immigration officers. The FBI launched an investigation after the shooting and initially included local officials, which is customary. However, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said it was cut out of the investigation. The New York Times first reported the agent’s resignation. A spokesperson for the Minneapolis FBI field office said it was “FBI policy not to comment on personnel matters.” It comes after six prosecutors with the U.S. attorney’s office in Minnesota resigned over their concerns about the direction of the investigation. The investigation so far has focused more on Good’s partner and whether she impeded a federal officer in the moments prior to the shooting — and less on the officer’s direct actions. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said there was “currently no basis” for a criminal Civil Rights Division investigation into Ross. Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, as well as other local officials, have called for the end of federal immigration operations in the state. The Justice Department is investigating Minnesota officials including Walz and Frey over allegations that they conspired to impede federal immigration agents through public statements they have made, NBC News reported last week, citing a senior law enforcement official and a person familiar with the matter. Walz has called the investigation political and Frey has said it was an attempt to intimidate him. Also in Minnesota, judges denied motions by the Trump administration to detain protesters who were arrested this week in connection with a demonstration at a St. Paul church where a pastor allegedly worked for ICE. A federal magistrate judge found there was no probable cause to charge two of the protesters on FACE Act charges, a federal statute that contains provisions covering houses of worship. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...renee-good-minneapolis-source-rcna255702

And we have the next ICE shooting (I guess death hasn't been confirmed yet -- but the video doesn't look great). I'm sure we''ll get to pick this apart frame by frame and discuss how 8 officers who already have a guy on the ground can all be in fear of their lives. https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/breaking-federal-agent-shoots-man-in-south-minneapolisMore detailed (and more graphic) videos are available (than the one from that page) - you can find them on reddit, but i won't repost here.

Very few details at this time................. Live updates: Federal officers shot and killed a man in Minneapolis Federal immigration officers shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Saturday, drawing hundreds of protesters in a city already shaken by another fatal shooting weeks earlier. The details surrounding the shooting weren’t immediately clear, but Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said the person was shot amid the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said a 37-year-old man was killed. The shooting happened amid widespread daily protests in the Twin Cities since the Jan. 7 shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good, who was killed when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fired into her vehicle. Saturday’s incident unfolded just over a mile away from where Good was shot. Here’s what we know: DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told The AP in text messages that the man had a firearm with two magazines and that the situation was “evolving.” The Minneapolis police chief said he believed the man was “a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry.” After the shooting, an angry crowd gathered and screamed profanities at federal officers, calling them “cowards” and telling them to go home. One officer responded mockingly as he walked away, telling them: “Boo hoo.” Agents elsewhere shoved a yelling protester into a car. Compiling accurate and thorough information on breaking news takes time. Reporters are working to piece together the details from eyewitness accounts, authorities and other sources. https://apnews.com/live/minneapolis...Lmf9-t7MVkQQo_aem_g-ayqeETS9f1F6Z0Tmo8qQ

Don't worry - on twitter DHS already announced everything that happened, including what the intent of the person and the officer was. "This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement." according to the official DHS account.\s

Saw the video. face down over 6 officers beating the crap out of him repeatedly then backing off and shooting him repeatedly. They had him face down, instead of beating him, how about search him and take his gun away? No lets just see the gun and shoot him.

Plus according to Minneapolis police he has a legal concealed carry permit. In the video right before the shooting (hard to tell exactly how long before because it's two different videos... i guess investigation will figure this out) -- he's holding a phone in his right hand and recording an officer (not sure which officer compared to the shooting) - while he and the officer were arguing with each other. I know that if I wanted to "do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement" i would start by taking out a cell phone camera, putting it in my (presumably dominant?) right hand and arguing with an officer from 1 foot away.

Walz has a choice. Restore order by all means necessary or understand that there is no option but federal troops. This is out of hand and it's dangerous to everybody. Officers are now outnumbered 10-1 and "protesters" are throwing bricks and frozen water battles among other things. Tear gas, flash bangs, armored trucks, it looks like a war zone.
He probably better act fast too, or he may be facing prosecution down the road. Depends on what happens with this powder keg he helped create.

Yes, Minneapolis should use their limited resources and officers to ignore patrolling their city to protect a government agency with a 28 billion dollar budget that sent over 2200 ICE agents into their city acting like storm troopers. If not it will be all their fault and they may be convicted for not helping enforce federal immigration laws have no jurisdiction over.

I think you need to start catching on...............
The anti-commandeering doctrine, rooted in the Tenth Amendment, prohibits the federal government from forcing state legislatures to enact laws or state/local executive officials to enforce federal regulatory programs. Established in New York v. United States (1992) and Printz v. United States (1997), this principle protects state sovereignty and maintains political accountability by ensuring that state officials are not used to implement federal policies.
But you know, who needs the stinking constitution?

I understand that in trumplandia the law and SCOTUS rulings based on the constitution sound like crazy sh*t. By law they are not compelled to assist ICE agents. Facts seem to be difficult for you to hear or admit sometimes.
But I do agree with you that probably won't prevent the trump administration from attempting to prosecute them anyway.
