I like this for this year. Not sure about having to extend Harden. That's worrisome. Cleveland needs more strip clubs for Harden.

I think this was more about getting out from under Garland's contract than getting Harden.

I don't know. Mitchell needs to sign an extension this off-season and doing nothing likely doesn't get him to sign on again. I know Harden's defense is a liability, but Garland just gets bullied in the playoffs by bigger guards. When Garland is good, he's really good, but he has been brittle the past couple seasons. I wish his toe the best in L.A. The warm weather may be the magic elixir! Now Giannis. As a casual fan I don't have the knowledge to grade anything in the NBA.
I watch some games. I watch the Cav's when it's possible. I don't watch other teams. I know the stars of the NBA but cannot really "talk basketball."
I got into the Cav's last year because they won a lot. They didn't get done in the playoffs because of injuries or lacking in some way.
This season they have not been healthy all year. Garland with his feet problems. etc.etc.
They must have said we cannot go into the playoffs with doubts about players. So, they are dealing in the oresent to win now.
Harden has been a checkered star.
It will be fun to see what happens with these moves. I like the idea of winning now.

I don't follow the NBA much but what I am thinking is that Harden would be a great 6th man.
Instant offense off the bench.
Will Harden's ego go for that?
