Milk’s drinking buddy even got to say hi at the end He's such a schmuck, lol. I guarantee he's one of those boobs that calls his father-in-law "dad."

One thing I do like more and more each day is.. Monken. However, I don't know if Monken has ever developed a great WR. Flowers is a 1000 yard receiver that doesn't catch TDs. Is that who Concepcion is going to be?
Yards are great, but points win games.
I hope Christian and Callie can get everything out of Concepcion. Fannin came into the league like a wrecking ball, maybe they can do the same for KC. I watched about 1-2 minutes of a Monken presser I assume was after both of our selections. His answers were short and to the point. I love that. I don't need a 5-paragraph answer that required a thesaurus to describe how you feel about something, especially if the question is basically a yes/no. Same as in coaching. Get to your point and get the work done. I'm listening to Fano/Concepcion dual presser right now... It is a blessing that Concepcion can play football, because he doesn't have to speak while doing his job. Um, Hi, um, ,my name, um, is um, KC, um... Oi...it is really hard to listen to... I don't recommend it if you haven't already. I think he might have a stuttering issue and that might be his coping mechanism. He repeats words a lot in his sentences.

Could say the same for about 90% of those drafted last night in the 1st round. He also is an acknowledged stutterer.

I was about to say, it almost seems like an extreme anxiety issue maybe. I wasn't aware that he had the stuttering issue.
Like I said, it doesn't really matter. Has nothing to do with football. I just feel bad for the kid. Limit his press time if it bothers him.

That was mentioned in Milk's post earlier in this thread: https://www.dawgtalkers.net/ubbthre...4-texas-a-m-wr-kc-concepcion#Post2136779"Concepcion grew up with a stutter. He has been open about his experience, including being the target of bullying, and spoke about it at the NFL combine."

I was just about to post this since IrishDawg was not aware of Concepcion's stuttering problem and the letter he wrote.

Wow. Absolutely loved that. And it feels authentic and written by him. Kudos. I'll root for him even harder now.

Wow. Absolutely loved that. And it feels authentic and written by him. Kudos. I'll root for him even harder now. Me too. Wow!! I gotta be honest. This has been a long journey for us as fans as well. After the Baker debacle, one thing became clear in my head, I just want someone to root for. Baker was someone to root for, Watson was not. That was the biggest gut punch. I'll never belittle a championship, but we'll barely remember the "trophy", we'll remember the journey it took to get there. Every season is another chapter. This one, we've clearly just added a fan favorite and someone you'd have to be crazy not to want to root for. Fantastic read (and very well written). Everyone should take the time. I read it once and then read it again to my wife and son. I'm glad we know his story. I'm glad he's ready to show the world.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

From the above Tweet...
"And yes, the second-highest drop rate (7.4%), but if that's your point of emphasis, I think you'll always miss the forest for the trees at this position. If everything else translates, you live with 7-8 drops in a season because the plays you make outweigh the plays you don't."
This is the exact point I made about Josh Allen coming out. Even if his completion percentage never improved, everyone should be willing to trade 2.3 incompletions per game for everything else he brought to the table.
In this case, it becomes a problem when the drops are chronic and at all the wrong times.

I was listening to his initial presser with Spencer and noticed the repeat words/phrases. My first thought was, is this guy nervous. Then I thought I remembered one of our "draft target" stuttered pretty severely. I think it is a sign of character that he fought through the problem and the bullying. He quickly became one of my favorite players on the team. I will be rooting hard for K C.
