Certainly you meant 'geeks' rather than 'gooks' as you typed. Another can of worms entirely. Geeks are like Big Bang Theory. Dorks and gooks are not. Where do crooks and stooges fit into this whole conversation?

I flashed back to Nam War as well when I read gook. Slur then and still is now.
Just guessing that crooks are appointed or elected in some cases, while stooges are loyal employees in other cases.
