In a Sunday interview with Fox News's Shannon Bream, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) National Co-Chair Megan Romer was pressed on several of the organization's platform positions.

During the interview, Bream presented Romer with a list of DSA platform positions and asked her to respond with “true or false” answers.

Romer said “true” when asked about abolishing the Senate and agreed with replacing the presidency and Supreme Court “as we now know them.” She also responded “absolutely” when asked about abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

When Bream asked whether the DSA supported “abolishing borders and giving amnesty to anyone currently in the U.S. illegally,” Romer replied, “As a long-term plan, yep.”

Romer also endorsed defunding the Pentagon, saying “absolutely” when asked about the proposal. She agreed that abolishing prisons “at least in large part” was part of the organization’s long-term goals.

Asked about government or public ownership of most large corporations, Romer responded, “Yeah, absolutely.”

Bream also asked Romer if the Democratic party should be worried about the organization's directions for the party

“The establishment Democrats should be worried about the voters and about what the voters think and about what the constituency thinks, and … right now they have not been delivering, and our candidates are and have been, and it’s resonating with voters,” Romer replied according to The Hill

“I also have been told a lot of times by Democrats, don’t vote third party. It’s wasting your vote,” the DSA co-chair continued. “So, we run on the Democratic ballot line where it makes sense. We run independents sometimes where that is a viable possibility, but it’s a ballot line. And what matters is what the voters think. And the voters are overwhelmingly choosing our candidates.”

Her comments come as a swath of DSA candidates sweep establishment democrats in primary elections with Claire Valdez (NY-7), Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY-13), and Brad Lander (NY-10) prevailing with DSA and Mayor Zohran Mamdani backing, alongside state wins by Aber Kawas, Samantha Kattan, David Orkin, Eon Huntley, Christian Tate, and Illapa Sairitupac.

Melat Kiros also defeated longtime incumbent Diana DeGette in Colorado’s 1st District, while Chris Rabb won Pennsylvania’s 3rd. Janeese Lewis George took the D.C. mayoral primary.

Republicans have seized on the rise of the DSA and have taken the opportunity to brand democrats as out of touch radicals. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson based Democrats as crazy in a X post.

"Far-left Democrats confirm their agenda is to shred the U.S. Constitution, seize private property, and make Americans vulnerable to violent attacks at home and abroad - among many other radical policies," he said. "This is the contrast for America between common sense and CRAZY."

U.S. Senate: The DSA platform calls for eliminating the Senate to transition the legislative branch into a single, expanded, unicameral body elected directly by the public.

Presidency and Supreme Court: The platform seeks to replace the current executive and judicial branches with an executive and a judiciary that are chosen by and directly subordinate to Congress.

True and false answers don't quite explain things. Doing away with something isn't the same as reorganizing things and the way they operate.

The website was initially owned by the Montreal-based The Post Millennial Corporation. It was criticised for the lack of transparency about its ties to Conservative Party politicians. In mid-2019, in announcing its hiring of Ballingall as executive, The Post Millennial said it was funded by "private investors".

It is owned by............... JTN Networks

The parent company of Just the News explicitly describes its portfolio as a union of right-leaning media brands, having also acquired other prominent conservative and right-of-center outlets like The Post Millennial and Human Events.

Jeff Ballingall is a Canadian political activist and digital strategist who serves as the Chief Marketing Officer and co-founder/former shareholder of the conservative online news site The Post Millennial. He is also widely known for founding third-party conservative advocacy groups like Ontario Proud and Canada Proud.

Maybe that's why they only told you part pf the story?

Oh I know the whole story. I was unable to post a video where she explained it in her own words. My comment remains. To get rid of the Senate and executive branch as well as the Supreme Court is crazy. Do you think it is a good idea to put everything under the control of the House? We have been a Republic for 250 years. I think throwing that out with the bath water is crazy and dangerous.
