I have been watching the History series on WWII.

My father fought under Patton. He was a master sergeant.

The footage because of digital technology is amazing. Looking at the scope and scale is mind numbing.

The series is both emotional but also it provides an overview that puts the events into a sequence that gives one a true picture of this time in history and how it changed the world.

Loved it. Wish they would do a Korean War one. Then a Vietnam War one. Then do a Gulf War one.

I love history, I know alot about it. Used to read alot about history. Only subject in school I never had to study for.

My one grandson is like that. Monday he begins training as an EMT.

But he loves history and he is really knowledgeable.

I read a ton of historical fiction covering many different periods.

But the way this was presented was super effective in gaining a full perspective of WWII.
