I think it is clear that we don't have a starter.
If we do it will be shocking.
So, the college season begins. I do not know who is the best college quarterback. We don't have the draft order.
All we have is a desperate need.
I am not going to do a mock draft. But what if in the end Arch Manning is drafted by the Browns?
Forget if he is the best. Maybe Moore is the best or some other QB is.
But Arch becomes a Brown.
First off Haslam would probably have a mind orgasm.
Try and imagine the hype. The press conference. He would come to Cleveland like Cleopatra came to Rome.
Talk about red carpet treatment. It would be like the Cavs getting LeBron.
He would be a hero before he stepped on the field.

I like the way Arch improved last season from the start of the season to the end of the year. Shows the ability to adapt and overcome weaknesses found in his game. He is very athletic and has a good arm. I would be ecstatic if the Browns drafted him. The only issue is his last name Manning and unreasonable expectations. Last year he was crowned the Heisman favorite before the season started and before he really saw significant game action. It became obvious that the game was fast for him early last year and slowed down for him by the end of the season. The fans and media of the team that drafts him will expect him to play well above most rookie levels and I would worry those expectations would hinder his growth as a player.

For me, I am more curious about Monken's "type" of QB vs any particular name and how Monken et al will be able to prop up the QB position this year.
I like what I'm seeing out of the skill groups (Judkins and Fannin as well as the earliest returns from the rookie WRs), and I'm cautiously optimistic about our Oline... so if all goes well our rookie QB should have a nice (if young) supporting cast going into next season.

I'm going to have to watch the college season, see the draft order and how things stand then before pontificating about one of several options that we have no idea of yet.
For all we know arch could fall flat on his face this season and not even be in contention. It wouldn't be the first time some big name fell on his face.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I made it clear that it is not about that.
It is hypothetical - purely.

And there is a list of QB's vying for top first round draft picks as well. I mean if you want to get into hypotheticals. I don't have any problem with people going through some far fetched hypotheticals if that's what they wish to do. That's their choice.
But there's at least five or six QB's on the QB watch list this season. It's just a personal choice of my own not to invest going through all of these hypotheticals before we have any type of clear picture if these hypotheticals are a reality. I mean IMO, if people are going to do that they need a thread that involves each of these hypotheticals for each of the first five or six ranked QB's going into the college season. But then as I said, we have zero idea how any of them will be ranked by seasons end.
But hey man, it's cool. To each their own.

Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

The Browns are in the running for the first pick in the draft according to where we are today.
We might trail Arizona, maybe the Jets. But were in the top four by most accounts.
Manning will be one of the top three rated QBs. Most believe he will be the first pick.
Of course this is today and it may go differently. People predict games every week.
The Browns drafting Manning is not a far reach. It could happen.
If it did. It will be interesting to see how Cleveland responds plain and simple.
Hell what we gonna talk about? What the Browns record is going to be?
I sure don't want to talk about DW or SS.

Ok, so, I just logged in. And I thought "What the hell did I do?"
As to the REAL topic: There is a whole season ahead to see how good/average/bad he is.

I thought he was thinking the Browns should draft you next year in the first round to be the the Browns next QB. And then i thought, "Isn't he a little old for that"?
