I mean that's fair enough and your choice, but I don't see how what Pit wrote isn't germane to the conversation and appropriate.

The conversation ends because there is no actual conversation or the "toys fly out of the tram".

Even looking at Pit's last post... were you guys interested in "conversating" about how one expired misdemeanor became 34 felonies? Nope. Or the fact that the creditors he allegedly cheated loved the loans and wanted to loan him more? Nope. Or the fact that banks say every "value" stated by a borrower is inflated and the bank actually assumes it's half? Nope. Or the fact that a judge decided Mar-A-Lago's value was $12 million (🤣 I guess my house's value is about 38 cents). Nope.

Zero, zip, nada. No intellectual honesty whatsoever, just "convicted felon, convicted felon!!" Then you say it 3000 times and when people give up on "conversation, you two post your "cricket" memes.

You wonder why Dawgtalkers is a liberal echo chamber? Probably because YOU call every. single. response... the result of an echo chamber.

Can't make it up. It's hard to even fathom irony this thick.

See, now I'm burned out on this section again. But just so you know... it's because any and all conversation is exactly (and only) as "y'all" want it to be. Drown out all voices of reason and scream into the air.

BTW... have a great day!

Maybe you’re right.

There are no actual conversations. That’s true. I stopped posting here because when I tried to have an actual conversation, the message I received was that I “was not a serious poster.” That was said by someone who has me on ignore by the way, who refused to have a conversation with me.

You can blame posters and talk about how others say fascist all you want. Go ahead and look up who is lobbing out things like “you communists” on this board and perhaps you might see how there are plenty of glass houses on the real estate market.

A liberal echo chamber? Hmm…I have to disagree. There are plenty of “liberals” who have left this board, but you know that. I don’t consider myself liberal by any means, but you do…so I guess I have to include myself in that.

I’m not even interested in engaging on the minutiae of things like Trump’s felony convictions anymore. His body of work speaks for itself. There are those that accept the unfettered quagmire he both created and is perpetuating and those that don’t. But don’t worry, FATE, let me throw you a bone. The “lefties” in office don’t have it together either. Dark money is ever pervasive and the status quo of the many getting screwed over for the benefit of the few remains strong.

All that is left in this forum is an overwhelming amount of retirees and people controlled by algorithms that gripe at each other 24/7. Many of us have left and are trying to figure out the future with stagnating wages, rising costs, $40T in debt that we didn’t create and how the hell we can get by in the world we are inheriting…that keeps getting worse by the day with yet another war. You want to know what I focus on in politics nowadays? One thing: Wtf kind of world are my kids going to enter when they reach adulthood.

Fascist. Communist. Whatever. I’m beyond the rage bait anymore and I may chime in every blue moon in this forum but it certainly won’t be a priority. Conversations are dead. 100% agree with you there. At the end of the day, I hope we can recover.

I do have to say though. When it comes to communism and the mantra of “Don’t take what’s mine” might I say…we have been living in an era of both government-provided social benefits and increasing tax cuts for a period of 40-50 years. Every time we pass tax cuts or increased spending with things like the BBB, is that not “taking” from future generations?

I digress. There are a lot of topics in this forum focused on attacking and very little in resolving. I guess we’re playing the role of pawns perfectly, as intended.

You're right about your observation.

Personally I think it sort of comes down to some people thinking anything is better than Trump - even an inept and incompetent Democratic Party. And then the flip side of that is some people truly believing that the American way of life is under threat by the Left - so they attack anything and everything that is Liberal.

Biden failed miserably on the southern border. I can understand this being a point of intense divide. Other than that, there's little of really big issues that I think Republican's can "die on the hill" claiming Biden was a disaster. There are probably lots of decisions people don't agree with, but I would argue those things are debatable points not a black or white failure, For example: Things like the Afghan withdrawal were set in stone by Trump and executed by the military, Biden had very little influence ... The economy got shot to pieces due to global influence - by the end of the term the economy was nicely on track. I don't personally see any other true cast iron failing. Maybe I'm missing some bigger issues? Biden developed a mental health problem that the Democrats hid - that is "unforgivable" and I said at the time that those responsible shoulder a lot of the responsibility for opening the pathway for Trump term 2.

By comparison to Biden - Trump in term 2 has multiple cast iron issues in my opinion: War in Iran, Add the incompetence shown in the War in Iran, executive overreach and erosion of the separation of powers, Removing an active head of state, ICE killing US citizens and ICE being funded as the largest law enforcement agency, a $40T national debt that is growing, attacking/belittling and alienating Western allies, tariffs used as vendettas that are hurting economies and relationships - and while it might not happen on Trump's watch I believe he has set the world in motion to move away the US dollar as the world reserve currency and petrodollar. Then there is the talk - which some don't mind, but I find deeply troubling and setting a president for a race to the bottom by all parties in the future: Greenland, the constant lies and unstable claims about Iran, and while it's trivial int he grand scheme of things the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario is truly moronic and childish.

And you're right dawglover - there is no discussion because the Trump supporters have a hangover from Biden's immigration and dementia and any of the above topics, all of which are real and discussion worthy are hard conversations ... so instead we get spammed with stories about individuals who do and say stupid things and a fringe extreme left wing political party or movement. Things like Trans issues that affect maybe 2% of the population are exploded to become emotive, populist talking points.

I don't know the solution.... but to not keep pointing out the failings of any of these politicians isn't the answer.

President Donald Trump has publicly and repeatedly demanded that the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigate and prosecute his political opponents.

Key Targets and Demands

Named Figures: Trump used social media platforms like Truth Social and public appearances to demand action against specific rivals. His targets included New York Attorney General Letitia James, former FBI Director James Comey, and California Senator Adam Schiff.

Urgency: Trump claimed these individuals were "guilty as hell" and stated that delays in prosecuting them were hurting the country's credibility. He wrote that "justice must be served, now!"

And now you're suddenly concerned about it? rolleyes

It would be wrong for either of them / both of them to go on a politically motivated witch hunt.

I know what Trump has said and done. I know the things that have been thrown out - clearly showing the DOJ in indeed going after political adversaries ... including having evidence withheld from a grand jury in order to try to obtain a prosecution.

I have not see what Letitia said or did. I have read one report of a claim that she was politically motivated.... given the publicity of this I would expect the person making the claim to have emails and documentation of the claims. I'll wait to see that before I say it happened or not. There are enough people involved that if his claim is true others will verify the claims ... if he's telling porkie pies, then I think it will become obvious.

Much like yourself, if there are facts to substantiate the allegations I'm all for seeing them and calling her out for it. And as you stated, if in fact this happened there should be some form of documentation to back it up. But as we can see, some are so busy frothing at the bit they can't wait for that.

One thing I believe is worth watching for. It is in fact a part of Letitia James job to assign people to investigate cases she sees as suspicious or worthy of investigation as the AG of New York. The fact of the matter is trump was convicted on 34 felony counts by a jury in this case. That means that there were certainly legitimate grounds for an investigation. If she in fact asked her office to investigate this case that's a far cry from telling them to go after or focus on trump.

As of now trump is failing to have this case overturned but he is certainly trying. At the present time he is making some ridiculous claim that funneling money through his attorney to hide this from the voters was part of his "official duties" as president and the courts have laughed at him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this twisted as some grounds for him to go after a dismissal based on the grounds of malicious prosecution.
