Passing game - Jags. In 2026 Trevor Lawrence is the better of the National Champion Clemson Tiger QBs. He also has veteran WRs that have produced in the NFL. The Browns have a really nice Tight End and some young talented receivers, but it is hard to give them the advantage over proven receivers with QB coming off a good season.
Running game - Browns. Judkins and Sampson should be a better duo both rushing and receiving out of the back field. Tuten has speed and pass catching ability out of the back field and Rodriguez is a decent short yardage back, but Judkins is the most upside of the entire group.
Oline - even. Neither group is expected to be great this season. The Browns replaced all 5 starters and most of the backups from last year's roster, The Jags kept their tackles in place and replaced the entire interior of their Oline.
Run defense - Jags. The Jags lead the NFL in rush defense last season they have a stellar defensive line. The Browns also bring a strong Dline ranking 4th in the NFL in rushing defense in 2025.
Pass Rush - Jags. Josh Allen, Travon Walker, and Aril Armstead are a strong trio in the pass rush. Browns Jared Verse ranked high in QB pressures and Maliek Collins were a solid pass rusher last season but is coming off a serious injury. Browns lost the top pass rusher and best defensive player in the NFL.
Pass defense - Browns. Denzil Ward can make defenses play left-handed taking away top targets, Browns pass defense ranked 3rd in NFL last year. The Jags were ranked 21st in the NFL. 2025 1st round pick Travis Hunter missed majority of the season. If he can make plays in the secondary, they could improve in 2026.
Special teams - Jags. The Jaguars were the 10th best ranked special teams in 2025 while the Browns were dead last. The Browns fired their special teams coach and added a 1st round talent KC Concepcion to add some pop to not just the receiving core but the kick return game also.
2025 the Jags were 13-4 and the Browns 5-12.
Game is being played in Jacksonville.
Hard to predict a Browns victory. I hope I am wrong. But is see a game where the Browns run game and defense keeps them in it but leading 20-17 with 5 to play the Jags score a late TD to beat the Browns 27-17.
I heard that there's a pretty good chance of rain for Sunday during a random matchup preview on youtube. I think that could potentially benefit us. Especially if there is a significant drop off at LB after they lost Lloyd to FA. Though a lot could change before game time, and you can't really rely on weather guessers.
I do think that Lloyd loss could be pretty big regardless of weather. We'll see how both teams look. Every season is it's own thing. We've had a lot of change. Hopefully, they work out for the better.
You mess with the "Bull," you get the horns. Fiercely Independent.
I think we will play much better than most are predicting... Not expecting a win but think it might be decided in the 4th Q which I would be happy about ... Hope it's still alive. And yes, it's the hope that kills you.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
Jaguars were second in the NFL last season with 31 takeaways. This spells disaster for Watson unless he just decided to run around in circles and take sacks or check it down all game.
I'm prepared to see Watson pull off this little gem of a play again.
I predict that there will be a football game. Beyond that I have no idea.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Realistically, for me, a nice portion of hope, followed by some disappointment, then maybe some frustration with a dash of anger. I might even predict something on my kitchen or living room will get broken because I rarely sit and watch the game. I have to listen on the radio and have the TV synched a couple second delay. Then I pace a lot, unless it gets bad out of hand, then I may sit down.
If I must predict the game outcome, I am an eternal optimist, so here we go.
Browns 23-17, and going out on a limb, a special teams TD. The other TD on a WR end around. That is all predicated on the defense living up to my expectations.
