Everybody has a ceiling and a floor. For DW, they are identical. He can't tell them apart. AND he needs to explain it away. Loser. Loser. Loser.

Todd Bowles is going to come after DW.

DW cannot see the field. He gets jittery under a rush. He doesn't protect the ball. He lacks the mobility he used to depend upon and no longer has.

This is a formula for a repeat performance by DW.

In order for Baker to fumble like last week many things have to fall in place. Not likely to happen this week.

IMO we are going to lose and it will not be close.

For the defense, a very different Dline has to show up. They need to get consistent pressure on Mayfield and control the line of scrimmage. Maybe last week was an anomaly, but I wouldn't bet money that we will be able to do that.

An additional point that I would like to make is the D just about has to come from both sides with pressure so he can't escape the pocket. Allowing him the option to roll out allows for the option of making him feel and be "dangerous".

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

100% true. I mean, you can't pressure both sides and the middle at all times, but that's a valid and important point.

He doesn't just feel dangerous, he is dangerous. His ability to roll out and throw accurate passes on the run has been under-appreciated since Oklahoma.

What he can't do is buy as much time as the Jacksons and Allens of the world, so that gap is not nearly as hard to close as long as LBs and Safeties are aware of it.

Containment is the best strategy. Quick recovery and pursuit will close the window quickly if he's gets outside the pressure. Hopefully that at least helps avoid catastrophic plays.

He is certainly not on the level of Jackson or Allen in that regard for sure. But while that is true, the most important part of all is having such an ability that you can escape and scramble enough to move the chains which keeps the ball in your possession thus keeping the drive alive. That he certainly has in spades if you give him the room to roll out.

Yep. And being the Baker Boy that I am, I know, this dude has become a very efficient, move-the-chains runner over the last few seasons.

6+ yards per tuck and one of the highest third-down conversion rates in the NFL.

The defense is not playing the same scheme as Schwartz.

They were in zone most of the time and got cooked.

We got next to no pressure in the Jags game.

When watching just the LOS on defense and looking at the first step. Nobody was getting off the ball.

IMO we are in for big trouble.

I don't like seeing Campbell DNP.

If Rutenberg plays another game of 85 % zone and not more man cover

Campbell won't be a factor anyways.

True. Also wanted to tell everyone that camp sensation Coats Jr is back practicing. I believe he will be a game call up.
