Good deal. Glad that doe got some help.

I have pulled over in my car to take turtles off the road.

If I see any animal in some kind of stressful situation if at all possible I try to help.

An act of kindness is a beautiful thing.

Same here. Actually, same exact scenario with a turtle around here last year. He seemed injured and lethargic but we took him back to the stream across from our house.

I don't know what happened to me over the years, but I'm hyper-sensitive to helping when I can. Not to get too "religious", but I think I've been pretty blessed with good health and want to send that appreciation back out into the universe. I'm to the point where I won't kill a spider. I know, it's weird.

I have been feeding hummingbirds for many years.

One got all tangled up in a spider web and could not fly. I caught him and took an old soft toothbrush and cleaned him up.
I could tell he was stressed out. I put him in an overturned basket for an hour with some water.

I held him in my hand gently and went out on my deck and opened my hand. At first he just sat there. And after a minute or two took off.
When they migrate in the winter they return in April to exactly where they spend summer and nest. They come back to my yard.
It is so cool because they recognize you and it is very obvious.

I hunted very early when I was a teen. I knew quickly I didn't like taking a life. Hell all the fish I have caught in my life I probably didn't eat a dozen.

My backyard is a mature hardwood and pine forest. It is all natural. I have a bird bath on the deck. With the "Merlin" app I have identified 38 species of birds. They are like my outdoor pets.

I respect life and pay close attention to the world around me way more than the Internet.
