This might just be my opinion, but after reading 2 of them that have been started it looks like the feature isn't needed... Both are inane, and will just give posters a reason to start a new topic in a poll format when a topic already exists... I see this as clutter and from the looks of it will get worse in time... just my 3 cents but I quite frankly don't see the need unless the administrators of this board wish to start one...

I do realize mine wasn't necessarly needed but I felt the need to tell the readers of DTMB 2 that polls are allowed but I do agree that they should be used for a good manor which my little brain cannot think of.

I actually agree with you.

My first impression when opening a thread that contains one is something akin to "oh, not another one". It's visual clutter, something I hate <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I turned them on by request earlier today, but it is on a trial basis. I'm going to see how things go for alittle bit with them, but right now I'm leaning toward making them a Admin/Moderator tool only. No clue when I'll actually make a decision on it.... I'll probably just put up a poll and ask folks if we should keep them <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I don't see any "rules of the pound" I see an FAQ, and read earlier that PPE was working on the rules for this board, but if you know something more then I do please show me where it's located so this won't happen again..

I was just going to say the same thing...especially in the middle of threads.....it changes the topic in my opinion.

If polls are going to be allowed my feeling is they should be confined to a seperate forum.

Actually this isn't truly a "public" board since someone owns it, and can do whatever they want with it, that means keeping or removing polls, so if you want polls gauranteed on a message board fork over the coin and start a message board yourself, I gave the owner my opinion, and he agreed with me to an extent, sorry you don't have a clue, but I would suggest getting one... Sorry you think otherwise... As for your "terrorist" comment... LMAO... Carry on now and make a fool out of yourself some more I enjoy the entertainment value...

I'm actually the one that requested polls. But, I don't think they should be allowed in any forum. I think there should be a seperate forum for them. That way, people who wish to participate in polls, can go to that forum, and those who hate them, can just not go to that forum. Just my 4 cents (I have to get more cents than Jaft lol)

one thing i would like to see is instead of deleting a post totally, if the content was removed, and telling you why it was deleted...

that's how I prefer to approach things actually, but Polls can't be edited, so the only option was to remove the whole post.
