No Michelle, I have been suffering and enduring heartache since 1975. No I didn't jump on the bandwagon when Marvin Lewis came on. Nope I sat in the Dawg Pound when Gus Ferrotte threw a left handed pass to Kennard Lang. I was at the old Stadium watching David Klingler getting pounded by Dan Footman/Pio Sagapugateli in the turf and throwing to bums like Jeff Query. Before I was posting here, I was posting on the ESPN boards having verbal sparring matches with posters like "VT Browns" and "BlackMagic". Call me anything you like,doll..a bandwagoner Iam not.

Nope I sat in the Dawg Pound when Gus Ferrotte threw a left handed pass to Kennard Lang. Was that the one he ran 72 yards? I remember watching that game with Cincy fans and being floored that it happened. I think I actually apologized instead of gloating.

I knew right after that play, the Bengals organization sunk to a new low. And I dumb enough to believe that year that Gus and Micheal Westbrook were gonna rekindle some Redskin magic. Boy was I wrong.Westbrook played one year with the Bengals and Ferrote accelerated the era of Carson Palmer.

Trust me Michelle, I was very close to putting the Bengals behind me unless I saw some progress. I think the Browns plight right now might be worse than what the Bengals spiral descent was considering how much money the Lerner family has, which is unlimited. Mike Brown tried to run the Bengals like his father did....that don't work in this day and age.

I guess my biggest problem with the Bungles is that they are not physical. They model themselves after a team that has won nothing. The Indy Colts. They are more concerned with stats then winning. ( Ocho winning the Afc receiving record and The Cornholer throwing for over 4,000) You have no defense. You have a bruising rb that you will not run. Yet you are in the AFC North. For so long, the Steelers and Ravens whipped on the 'Nati. So pardon the Bengals if they got caught up in the moment and won the division. Your missing the point. I and most fans do not care about division titles. They get you some nice Tshirts. Some Hats. Last year you guys acted like you won the Super Bowl. Then you lose a 10 point lead twice and get destroyed at home in the 1st round of the playoffs. I also have no problem with trash talking. I have Joey Porter on my team. If you notice he talks when somebody addresses the Steelers first. Last year he talked Seattles TE right out of his game. Multiple drops and we win. This year he had a spat with The Solja. A couple of years ago he had a FIGHT with Willie Green. Joey is a ass. We all know this. But we know if he talks he is going to back it up.

But we know if he talks he is going to back it up Nope, KW2 owns him . Period. All of that smack and Winslow was the one who backed it up , he can't help it if the rest of the team didn't follow suit.

And, what does money have to do with how the Browns play? This isn't baseball....

Nope, KW2 owns him . Period. All of that smack and Winslow was the one who backed it up The Solja had 1 nice play. He damn near choked slammed Joey into the dirt. Did he let it affect him? Nope. The next play he sacks your qb. Then the next game the Solja wants to act like they are old friends and shake his hand? Why? Football is not always about one on one matchups. In the Super Bowl Stevens the Te was rarely matched up on Joey. Does not mean his game was not affected. It also fires up our team. After the Solja cheapshot Farrior what happened? The whole Pitt Defense was incensed and Farrior owned Solja the VERY NEXT PLAY. So if it helps you sleep better saying KW2 owned Porter. Cool. Farrior owns KW2 then.

So you are saying that the Bengals have to model their offense after the Steelers and Ravens in order to achieve? The Bengals are a pass 1st team..Thats their idenity on offense.Your statement about Rudi Johnson is so far off the truth..He was 3rd in the AFC in carries. He actually ran the ball more than Willie Parker. How can you fault Chad Johnson for winning a NFL recieving title and Carson for throwing for more than 4,000 yards? You say the Bengals have no defense...They allowed 20.7 pts a game..the Steelers allowed 19.7. Considering the multitude of different defensive lineups the Bengals had to run out,20.7 isn't god awful like you present it. No, theres talent on the defense....Domata Peko played as well as any rookie DT in 2006..Johnathon Josepth looks like a future All-Pro. I want to see Ahmad Brooks with a full off season under him. Robert Geathers gets only better year to year. Who knows, maybe Odell Thurman might be back. But its hard to overcome when you lose to 2nd year LB's that you are building your defense around.

I agree your D took hits through injury/suspension... but cry us a river and we won't feel sympathy even then. Browns fans KNOW ALL ABOUT IT.

The Bengals are a pass 1st team..Thats their idenity on offense.Your statement about Rudi Johnson is so far off the truth..He was 3rd in the AFC in carries. He actually ran the ball more than Willie Parker. No. But common sense would dictate that unless you play in a dome or have an effective running game and at least a serviceable defense then your philosophy is flawed. Rudi is a very good back. You do not use him correctly. You might as well line a Wideout at running back. You say you are a pass 1st offense? So what do you do second? Do you pass to set up the run? No. Even with a big lead you still keep passing. Then its a big shock when your wideouts take big hits. How can you fault Chad Johnson for winning a NFL recieving title and Carson for throwing for more than 4,000 yards? I don't. But pretty stats really mean nothing. You want to impress me? Win a playoff game. You say the Bengals have no defense...They allowed 20.7 pts a game..the Steelers allowed 19.7. Steelers 9th rated defense. Bungles, 30th. Yes you have no defense. nfl.com

CINCINNATI - The end came yesterday with Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes running free in the Cincinnati secondary, speeding toward the end zone, incapable of being caught.
The beginning of the end came earlier, much earlier, with guys who got caught.
Odell Thurman. Chris Henry. Eric Steinbach. Reggie McNeil. Deltha O'Neal. Matthias Askew. A.J. Nicholson. Frostee Rucker.
[color:"red"]The final tally: Eight arrests. Eight losses.
Ocho stinko.
[color:"red"]"We were a very average football team," said quarterback Carson Palmer.
After the Bengals lost to Pittsburgh 23-17 yesterday, officially deep-sixing their wafer-thin playoff chances thanks to Holmes' 67-yard touchdown grab-and-gun from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger three snaps into overtime, Marvin Lewis said, "It takes people who are selfless."
You didn't need a net to catch his drift.
Perhaps Cincinnati's off-the-field problems did not directly contribute to its slip from an 11-5 playoff team to a mediocre 8-8 edition that will be watching the post-season on a plasma.
But it certainly set the tone. A distracted tone. An undisciplined tone. A tone of personal agendas being put ahead of team sacrifice.
"We grossly underachieved," Willie Anderson, the all-pro offensive tackle, his 11th season behind him, said from his locker yesterday. "People should be really embarrassed about the performance of this football team. In street terms, this is a sorry football team."
It was certainly inadequate yesterday. The Bengals missed tackles, dropped passes, committed silly penalties. [color:"red"] At one point on the home sideline, safety Dexter Jackson had to be restrained from going after linebacker Caleb Miller. That's Jackson's teammate, Caleb Miller.
"Marvin hinted on it at the beginning of the week," Anderson continued. "One word. Selfish. That's not me saying it. That's me reading the quote from my head coach saying it. From selfishness, different things get broke down under that."
Selfish? How? Who?
Anderson wouldn't answer that. He offered this: "It's not always about talent. Sometimes it's about smart, selfless football players."
Sometimes it's a little of both. Take Chad Johnson. You can argue that few want to win more than the high-profile Cincinnati receiver. You can argue that many know better ways to go about it.
"I don't know what selfish means, unless somebody's talking about me," said Johnson when informed of Anderson's comment. "Am I selfish because I want to win? Am I selfish because sometimes as a receiver you want the ball to help your team win? That's what it all comes down to. Selfish in that way, then yeah."
Later, he added, "Isn't selfish good?"
Selfless is better. bungle link Fighting on the sidelines again?

Clown Hunter,really..c'mon pts allowed is a more credible stat than yards allowed...Oakland and Miami gave up less yards per game then the Steelers, and how did they do? You can drive 85 yards downfield and fumble in the endzone. keeping team out of the end zone is what counts.I could care less about yards given up.

Not really. We had Ben who probably should not have played in about 4 games this year. He had the Bike accident. Appendix surgery. Concussed to sleep vs. the Falcons. Combined with Hines and Wilson missing games. Having to start rookie Holmes and a 2nd year player who saw his first action last year in the AFC Championship game Nate Washington.
We had multiple turnovers. Turnovers on our 25 yard line. So when we turn the ball over other teams are already in field goal range.
Oakland has a pretty good D. Miami also.

DAMN. Single Worst Play of the Season So Far: It's overtime in the Pittsburgh at Cincinnati game. The defending champion Steelers are eliminated from postseason play, but Cincinnati must win to keep its playoff chance alive -- and it would later turn out that had Cincinnati won, Denver's surprise loss would have put the Trick or Treats into the postseason. Pittsburgh faces first-and-10 on its 33. The Bengals start a chain-reaction of fiasco by big-blitzing. Santonio Holmes catches a quick slant in front of Cincinnati corner Tory James, who stumbles. James then turns around and watches Holmes run 67 yards for the winning touchdown. It's overtime of the final game, if you don't catch the Pittsburgh runner your season ends, and James just stood there watching Holmes run; eventually, he sort-of jogged in the general direction of the play. Several other Bengals just stood watching Holmes head up the sideline, too. It's overtime of the final game, if you don't catch the Pittsburgh runner your season ends! Cincinnati Bengals, you committed the Single Worst Play of the 2006 Regular Season. Afterward, Carson Palmer whined, "This is just another game we shouldn't have lost to a team we feel we're better than." Carson: You prove this on the field, not in the media room. The no-account Bengals had no business in the playoffs, and the football gods spoke. ESPN

Hey Impact, I was just on the bengals site and it is WEAK. .....If Marvin is going to be hard on them, they will complain, shut down and Lewis will get fired for being a "Warden", no I mean "prison guard", No, I mean Coach, then he will really get it......

Browns and Steelers can agree than the constant non stop talking from a team that has only had 1 winning season in forever is a bit tiresome. They just have to let everybody know how good they think they are. They can not shut up on their own so its up to us to shut them up. Bungles have NO DEFENSE. You will NEVER go far in the playoffs with a high school defense. On offense they are talented chokers. Every big stage there is always a choke involved. Hope you guys still enjoy your division title t-shirts and hats from last year. ![[Linked Image from i63.photobucket.com]](http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h150/jmzgm5lewis/wedey.jpg) This is where i disagree with you Clown Hunter. The Bungles Defense is every bit the equal to St. Mary's of the Mount.
