Devil's Advocate here...I know Haynesworth had a very good season, but up until this one he struggled with being out of shape, inconsistency, and just overall being a guy who you weren't sure what you got out of him. In a walk year he blows up...I find it suspect.

I saw, in a few places, that due to this one "breakout" year, that he might be subject to getting "Gerard Warren syndrome". Play your butt off for a fat, and in Gerard's case I mean REALLY fat (literally), salary for one year.

I wouldn't be shocked. Haynesworth physically can dominate when in shape and dedicated, so I'm hoping that he's turned the corner rather than playing big in a walk year.

What sucks is that there is no real free agents that project to the 3-4 well on the line. There are some borderline guys at end, but that's it.

We've kinda been spoiled, recently, with the Steinbach & Bentley (too bad that hasn't panned out) signings. It looks like we will have to settle for 2nd tier D-Linemen and the draft. We may not get what we need, on defense, in this draft/FA.

It's a LB year more than a DL year. In free agency I'd like for the Browns to look at Reggie Torbor, but he's probably about on the same level as Peek.

I actually don't think the DL is bad, just shallow. They need to get depth at end and nt, which will be done in this draft. The first line isn't too bad.

Which is exactly why I thought Phil would move DA for more picks (even if it was two 2nd rounders - like the Schaub deal). I think Phil wants the Quinn pick back now seeing the emptiness of free agency looming.

Not that it wasn't a good trade on draft day, but I think Phil was banking on getting someone in free agency as their "missing #1 pick".

I don't find that funny at all. He's way better than Pool.

I won't deny that...or that they are holding on to him because he's a Razorback and we know how Jerry Jones loves him boys from his alma mater!

And yet some people still say that Jones' has no link to McFadden. Most of us know that Jones' likes his razorbacks!!!!!

I think Hamlin would have been an upgrade, but i'm not ready to throw the towel in on Pool. He is still young, and as long as he continues to show improvement, which i think he did, then i'm willing to go with him another year.

I agree too. Pool showed flashes at times. I just really miss Brian Russell...sigh.
