I guess his loyality to vick costed him in the end. I though he would of been a nice back to pair with turner for a while.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

I think it had more to do with Dunn asking to be released. At this point in his career I think he is looking to get more playing time, or at least be on a winning team.

Patriots, Moss reach agreement on three-year contract NFL.com Wire Reports The Patriots and free agent wide receiver Randy Moss agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract on Monday, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter. The two sides are reviewing the contract, which is expected to be signed today. Moss, 30, was an unrestricted free agent after the Patriots elected not to designate the 10-year veteran as their franchise player. In his first season with the Patriots in 2007, Moss set the NFL single-season record with 23 touchdown receptions, while catching 98 passes for 1,493 yards. NFL.com

The Bengals just lost another deal....looking for a story now. The Cincy radio station said it was announced on Fox, but I can't find it there.

this is soooo funny....per pft:
ROBERTSON DEAL ISN'T HAPPENING
For the second time since Friday, a deal that the Bengals thought they'd make to upgrade a subpar defense has fallen apart.
Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports that the trade between the Jets and the Bengals for New York defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson is off.
The sticking point was Cincy's insistence that Robertson re-do a contract that is set to pay him $9.8 million in 2008. Unless and until the Jets find a team for whom Robertson is willing to take a haircut, the likelihood is that Robertson eventually will be cut before a $3 million roster bonus comes due in June.

I believe this news is taken from an early morning blog report. Not saying it's not true, just that there has been no actual source quoted news report about it. As funny as it may seem to us, it's probably not that big of a loss if they were going to be forced to overpay for the guy. They still may have a chance to pick him up once he's cut.

jc Laboy a Card The Cardinals are expected to announce the signing of free agent Travis LaBoy later today. We'd guess he'll get a deal for four to five years worth $18-20 million. Free agent LB Brandon Chillar is slated to arrive in Arizona this evening. Source: Arizona Republic Related: Brandon Chillar http://rotoworld.com/content/home_NFL.aspx

He will change his hairstyle for no team!

I think Peek will be fine. I do think we need more depth. I'm still trying to figure out why so many wanted LaBoy. He doesn't seem to me any different than Peek.
His stat line does baffle me. 13 tackles, 6 sacks, 1 int and 4 forced fumbles.
He has been good at getting sacks as a part-time player. The thing is the knock on Peek is that he is not good against the run. I would think we would need more of an all around player on the outside.

I really can't see Arizona trying to sign Chillar now. I like Chillar. He's young, and has shown some decent ability. I'm not sure if he'd fit as an OLB in the 3-4. I do think that he'd be an upgrade over Davis as an ILB.
I'm hoping we sign one or two of the following as an ILB:
Victor Hobson Brandon Chillar Clark Hagans
Any thoughts on moving McGinest inside? Let Peek take the other OLB position? McGinest has lost his edge rushing ability...but he can still tackle with the best of them.

Chillar is not a bad player.
I remember seeing him is a high school game a few years ago, and have casually followed his career....

My cousin, Jacob Bell, agrees to a 6 year $36 million dollar contract with the St. Louis Rams. $13 million guaranteed and a 3 million signing bonus: Got details of contract from my uncle, even though not mentioned in article...
Rams sign Jacob Bell By Jim Thomas ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH 03/03/2008
Dec. 2007-- Jacob Bell #60 of the Tennessee Titans (Jamie Squire/Getty Images)
The Rams took what they feel is a substantial step towards upgrading their offensive line, agreeing to terms early Monday evening with Tennessee Titans free-agent guard Jacob Bell. It's a six-year deal; contract terms weren't immediately available. Bell, who started three of his four seasons with Tennessee, visited Rams Park on Monday. He will be the Rams’ starting left guard next season, moving into the spot occupied by Mark Setterstrom at the start of 2007..
Left guard has been a trouble spot for Rams over the past few seasons because of injuries and other factors. Since the start of the 2004 season, 11 players have started at least one game at the position for St. Louis.
Health permitting, Bell could be a fixture there for years. A fifth-round draft pick by the Titans in 2004 out of Miami (Ohio), Bell has missed only two games in four seasons with Tennessee. He missed one game at the end of his rookie season with a torn knee ligament, and was inactive for a 2006 contest with a toe injury.
Overall, he has played in 55 regular-season games for Tennessee, including 46 starts. Forty-three of those starts have come at left guard, and three at right tackle. In 2005, his only season where he wasn’t a full-time starter, Bell also saw some duty at left tackle.
According to team officials, Bell was the highest-rated offensive guard on their free-agency board. But the Rams went after Pittsburgh’s Alan Faneca first because of the veteran leadership they thought he could bring to the club. But Faneca signed with the New York Jets instead.
Although not known as a power blocker, coach Scott Linehan liked the way Bell blocked against Carolina’s Kris Jenkins and Jacksonville’s Marcus Stroud and John Henderson last season. Bell held his own against those big, powerful defensive tackles.

We don't need an inside backer IMO. Davis makes tackles which is what we need, I admit, most of them are down field, but now w/ a decent line lets see what he can do. We also have Williams and Jackson as solid young players, and it would be great if Chaun resigned. I believe we should look more at a good OLB that can play the run, then use Peak on pass rushing situations.
Go Browns!

Here's another article on Jacob:
Bell Agrees to Terms Monday, March 3, 2008
By Nick Wagoner Senior Writer
A snow storm moving into the St. Louis area might have been enough to keep Jacob Bell in St. Louis for a little while. But that won’t go nearly as far as the six-year contract he agreed to with the team on Monday evening.
The Rams and Bell agreed to terms after a getting-to-know-you session that lasted most of Monday afternoon, according to team sources. The athletic guard comes to St. Louis from Tennessee, where he earned a reputation as one of the league’s fastest-rising young players on the interior of the offensive line.
Bell immediately fills a void on the offensive line and should help form one of the most athletic left sides in the game next to tackle Orlando Pace. At 6’4, 295 pounds, Bell isn’t the mauler type, but that doesn’t mean he can’t hold his own as a run blocker in addition to his nimble feet in pass protection.
The Titans drafted Bell in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL Draft and Bell has been an ascending player since. He has been a starter for three of his four seasons in the league In that time he has played in 55 games with 46 starts.
The left guard position has been ravaged by injury in recent seasons as starter Mark Setterstrom was lost to a season ending knee injury. Bell has started 43 games at left guard but also has experience at tackle where he has started a trio of games on the right side.
According to one team source, Bell was the highest rated interior lineman on the team’s free agent list heading into the offseason.
Terms of the contract were not immediately available. Bell is expected to be introduced as a Ram officially on Tuesday in a 10 a.m. news briefing at the Russell Training Center.
