Don't get me wrong....I am a Clevelander. I love the place. Just wouldn't want to live there anymore.....at least before May or after October.

You mean there are some people that don't drink when they mow the yard, OR shovel snow?

Don't blaspheme on this board. I was not aware that you could do either without a beer in hand.

Just finished the last have of the driveway about 20 minutes ago, while the wifey started the beginning(to get her exercise for the day,now she's chillin' w/a 22 oz of Miller Lite ).......but i swear getting that stuff out of the driveway, this afternoon was the worse ever!!

When i finished(earlier)i had to do a couple of backflips into the snow....that also might be the reason i'm hurtin' now.

I couldn't even get to the Cavs game today, but you know what ......."I STILL LOVE OHIO!!!!!!!!!"

My freezer is always full ..... and my cupboards as well.

If I had to, I could live off of what I have here for a couple of months. (With water, of course)

Just got in about fifteen minutes ago from snowblowing the driveway. I'm REALLY glad we picked up that thing this year. It tore through nearly two feet of snow like it was nothing. I want to go out and celebrate now.

I really think I have to buy a snowblower.

I'm getting too damn old to shovel driveways.

Well, for what it's worth, I don't like your neighbors.

Have you ever plowed the snow off your drive, and had so much fun doing it that you then plowed it back on your drive, just so you could plow it back off?

I have, and do. Fairly often.

Edit to say: I don't shovel snow - I iplow it. I would never shovel snow off, then shovel it back on in order to shovel it back off.

Tractors are great things.

Do it. A tough snowblower and a really warm parka and clearing the driveway is actually kinda fun.

How could you not love it?
My Dad and I thought the 4ft drifts and the heavy snowfall were pretty cool, but my Mom and my Sister, ugghhh, not so much. They don't like to shovel or anything! But thankfully we do have a snowblower, but it still took about 40 minutes or more to clear the whole driveway.

What a great time, love the snow. From you guys up there near the lake, how bad is the lake effect?

We have a mountain range in my front yard. I can't remember the last time I've seen this much snow come down in such a short period. The good news is, I was just outside sholving for the 5th time this weekend and I saw stars up in the sky. Hopefully this is it for the year.

I'm in Wayne, so I'm only a county over from Stark. We had about 14" on the ground. I live in an apartment complex and it took me two hours to shovel out my car and the area around it so I could get out if I needed to.

Best wishes to anyone living even remotely close to a river over the next few weeks.

\

That was the topic of conversation last night.. someone asked how much water (snow) did everyone think was within 1 block of each side of High Street from 270 to 270 North and South.. never mind the whole county.. then someone said you better not have a trailer home by the river and everyone agreed to that LOL.. SE Ohio is going to be flooded

I know that in recent years Lake Erie has been down about 6 to 8 feet. Wonder if this is going to be the year that it's back to normal?

Thanks. I've been trying to call my mom, but she isn't answering. That's not atypical, but I know how she is. She's 77 and she still goes out and shovels the driveway and sidewalks. She's a tough ol' bird, but I wish she wouldn't do that.

14 inches..............damn, that's a lot of snow.

Hey Vers were from Huron county. We ended up with 16-17 inches of snow. By the way not a cloud in the sky today.

Always wear sunglasses when working in the snow. Save the old eyes. I get to go dig out the end of the driveway from the plow. Oh, JOY.

Just got done with an hour and a half of shoveling. In a few minutes I'll venture out to the garage to lift some weights. By the end of the day, I'll be spent.

I hated doing that when I stayed with my mom. Well, here nobody in the buildings here can get out b/c they never plowed the parking lot and 2 idiots left there cars in the entrances to the back here. It kinda forks off to either side of a parking garage and 2 people got stuck and just left there cars there,,blocking us all in and keeping any plow out. . Luckly for me I couldn't even pull into the main parking lot and had to leave my car down the road into another lot so I walked down and they plowed that lot so I could bring my car back closer and get my Sunday morning Dunkin Coffee fix
