Ain't nothin' wrong with that!

6-4 Angels, top of the 6th.

I tuned into the radio driving home from work, since I get the Angel's affiliate out here.

... we scored 4 in the inning I was able to listen to.

So, with a 9-5 lead, the bases empty and 2 outs in the 9th....Speier plunks Hafner. I wonder if that had anything to do with Hafner's bomb off him last night to lose the game for the Halo's. Well, I suppose it could be about Hafner's bat flip after the swing too.

9-5 final.

And only 12 LOB.

Look on the bright side, Delluci, Michaels and Blake were 3 for 11 (.274) with 2 RBIs and only 1 strikeout..

12 men LOB is utterly shameful.

They did the same thing last year and a lot of people, including me, really got on Wedge for not doing more to manufacture runs, bunt, steal, do something other than let them stand there and wait for somebody to get a double or hit a homerun...

It looks like I might have to take up that mantra again. It's largely the same line-up, couldn't a few of them learn to bunt in the off-season?

DC, I agree with you 100%. Sometimes, you gotta play small ball.

bunt

It drives me nuts when Wedge won't advance runners using bunts. As someone said above, sometimes you've got to play small ball.
