I will, Im addicted. I know im late to the party, but I cant put the game down, after every race im like "just one more". That usually goes on for another 10-15 times.

I still stink though, but its fun. Ill make sure to post my MKW friend code thingy tonight.

How do you get that quick boost off the starting line?

I race people online and they shoot out of the gate real fast like they have a turbo boost?

Right after the second light goes on hit and hold the accelerator, and then the instant the race starts pull back and do a wheelie, I usually get out in front of everyone doing that.

Alright people, I have a Wii. Only have Tiger Woods though. Have never played Mario Kart, but from what I've read, it seems fun. I haven't connected the thing online yet, which I imagine I'll have to do if I want to get involved (I have wireless DSL too - I hope that works).

Anyway, can you play the game with the controller, or do you need to purchase the steering wheel, etc? What's that all cost (and is it worth it)?

if you get hooked up online we can play.

Wireless DSL will get you online.

You can race without the wheel if you dont have it, all it is, is a shell basically for the controller. you can buy the wheel for like $9 i think. I never raced without it, so im not sure what its like.

You should definitely get Mario Kart though, I usually only play sports games and FPS, but my buddy got it for him and his girlfriend and they were hooked, then he brought it to my place and I was hooked. Its a lot of fun.

just another note, one steering wheel comes with the game.

It seems easier to play with the wheel plus it's more comfortable.

We bought an extra wheel and I won't race without it. I can hear Jules talking in the other room -- she must be racing online.

Sorry I couldnt play longer, I have a killer headache, im going to bed. How do you get to race with your Mii? Im assuming you had to unlock it somehow, how do you do it?

I'll send you a link to check out how to unlock the Mii. Also, the best thing we did to learn the game was to do Time Trials and watch replays of the fastest racers. It teaches you a lot. Oh, and Jules says to get a bike so you can wheelie.

I played a little more this weekend and used the bike, when I first started I couldnt control the bikes as well but now Im better. Im getting ready to leave for Vegas on Wednesday, so Im not sure if Ill get on before that, but I definitely want to race again when I get back.

Hmm...when the hubs and I buy our Wii, sounds like we'll have to get Mario Kart. Oh, and the Wii is our Christmas gift to each other, so we should have it soon!

Oh, and I'll kick all your butts! I'll have John teach me the secrets to race driving and leave you guys in my dust!

Its a great game, you will love it.

Everytime I'm ready to turn it off I find myself saying "one more quick game" I do that for an hour usually.

All you really have to do is hit the gas and steer.
