IMO, the dream ticket would be Obama/Gore.

Gore isn't going to want to be VP again, especially if he doesn't even want to run for Pres. I don't know what overall appeal Gore would bring to the ticket other than make those that were already voting for a left-leaning ticket, feel even better about voting for it.

I agree with log ... Wes Clark would be a great selection.

You're right....it would virtually assure a Republican win.

I know it's not going to happen, but I heard from a co-worker (who was listening to Opie & Anthony) who said that he heard that Hillary might run as a 3rd party candidate.

Now, between McCain, Obama & Clinton, who wins that 3-way race?

She wants to position herself front runner for 12 if Obama loses the general election. That way she and her supporters can say "I told you so", that Obama would have a hard time on a national scale, that she would have been the better choice.

agreed.

It's kind of sad, too- when you think about it.

Once again, the American public gets screwed because campaigners put more energy, money, resources and effort into winning than they do in formulating platforms that would actually help the people whose votes they covet.

I guess I'm too old and jaded to think that there will EVER be a candidate who gets my unquestioned support...

(sigh)
