I think mine speaks for itself. But there is a reason I chose something so mundane. I started lurking around here in late 2000. When I moved from Columbus to Portland in 2001 I made the switch from lurking to posting. The original DawgTalk was my connection to Ohio, a means to "touch" Ohio from my new hometown. Now I stick around because you all collect the local Browns' coverage and post it here. It's one stop shopping. I don't need to get the Columbus Dispatch delivered out here just for the sports section. Plus you're all a bunch of freaks and I like you.

My screen name is all about a really cool song written by a band by the name of Captain Beyond. I had a really special lady friend that passed away about seven years ago....her favorite song was Starglow Energy! I miss her way too much!

Wow. You must be old like me. Or you're really young, and into the whole "retro thing." How you latched onto CB is beyond me... they never really made a big splash... which was unfortunate for them, but really cool for their fans. They kept it real, and tried to really express something with their music. Thoughtful lyrics, too. That's unusual- and worthy of note, considering some of the junk that was pumped at us during that time.
I haven't heard the name Captain Beyond in decades, until I dropped into this thread.
They were a very cool band. Combined folk, rock, and elements of the psychedelic movement into something that was very listenable... and provided listeners with a legitimate alternative to all three.

At the time I registered I was working as a Garbageman all of my friends referred to me as the G-man. Timothy being my first name I just accidentally hit the T twice. After I got sick of the job and quit I just never stop using the screen name.

CapCity cause I live in the Columbus area (every time I talk to my step father he asks "how are things in Capital City?").
Real nickname is Riddler, but that was taken on the old board, so I took this name. When I migrated here, I just kept it.

Well my name on the old board was "The Riddler" but for some reason i couldn't get the "The" to work when i signed up here.
It is "The Riddler" too...no-one from home ever calls me just "Riddler".

Wow, Riddler is a popular nickname. I used to have a friend we all called 'Riddler'. He was in a band and had a mohawk dyed fluorescent green. And it was right around the time that the Batman movie came out with Jim Carrey .

For me, all through school i was called Ryd (pronounced "rid") which i guess is some kinda bastardization of my christian and surname. Was in college then with a kid known as "jugsy" and one day i started calling him "The Juggler" and within a few days my current nickname was born. That was nearly 20 years ago. damn i feel old....
