Since 88 ? I've never heard of you. Sounds like you're a rapper wannabe. Who do you rap to...your next door neighbors and family members at the annual labor day picnic
Nice job of turning a discussion about something into a personal attack.

Well, until that last post, I was going to defend you (and then go take a shower)
I understand what you're trying to say though. I get the same types of responses when I try to explain a coach's thought process or what goes on in a locker room. When you're involved in something, even if it's not at the top level, you do get an understanding of how things work.

My stage name is not ndutyme. I've performed in festivals around Cleveland.
What's your stage name ? Maybe some people do know you if you've been in festivals.

Oh boo hoo get over it I was just messing him with a bit and I doubt he was offended.........lighten up kid sheesh
First of all I am not a kid, secondly as was said it was uncalled for to try to insult a guy that had a little differnent persepctive on something. If you were just messing with him then maybe a or a was in order.

I didn't see his comments as personal attacks, he used those dancing green things, and you have personally attacked other posters before (myself) so lecturing someone your guilty of doing yourself doesn't make too much sense. Now your gonna say you didn't attack me, but making comments a couple months ago because I went off on Ammo in a thread, then you made sly comments which were obviously directed towards me in threads I didn't respond too, was uncalled for. No big deal really, but if you don't have a thick skin you shouldn't post on message boards.
I never really did think I personally attacked you, I may have disagreed but it was never personal, and the other comments I made to Ammo were just jokes, more about Ammo than they were about you. It was funny to call Ammo a little punk and slacker in a joking way.
Since there is no tone in a message board post things can easily be misconstrued. I took what OSU said to NDU insulting to him and something he has a passion for, even if he is not a big star. He did later on go on to say "what a joke" . If he was joking then I took it wrong and I am man enough to say that.
I know most of the time when I post something on this board it is with a big grin on my face. People cant see that grin on my face so it gets misunderstood often, so I understand , I dont take anything personally. Or if I do I get over it pretty quick.

Rap isn't just about the proverbial "money, cach, hoes." Anymore there are plenty of artists who deal in radically different subject matter. You just have to know where to look.
Where to look?
Anywhere other than major labels. Anywhere other than what gets radio play.
Bottomline, the formula of money, cars, women still sells. And so that is what you get from the mainstream outlets. But the true artistry of the thing still resides underground.
You have to realize, there are many smaller independant labels that produce tracks that push the boundaries of what hip-hop/rap really is.

I'm gonna have to ask you again to get over it. Maybe you need to step away from the site for awhile if you were that hurt about it or you feel other posters are stalking you
Quote: You've never seen him play. You don't know how good he is. And even if he isn't that good it doesn't give you the right to attack him about it.
Are you 12 years old ? Seriously ? You're right I have never seen him play, that's why I said he probably only raps to his neighbors or family members at a picnic. Duh As for "attacking him" get real kid,you have no idea what you are talking about. Thanks for at least trying to give an answer about what was so terrible I said

I have been over it, I was replying to Fletch. So maybe you need to get over the fact that you think I need to get over it, kid. You said it was said as a joke and I was fine with that, not that it really matters whether I am or not.
The stalking thing had nothing to do with you, it is kind of a thing between me and Shep that pretty much only Shep and I and few others would know about.

So you see no problem with attacking someone's dreams? And as far as you know ndutyme is a few days away from getting a record deal. He could perform in shows all the time. Just because someone doesn't have a record deal that means they aren't good? All the stars were at one point, amatures. I know plenty of bands and people who are just as good as any band I've ever hear on the radio.

And actually I'm 14.
How am I attacking someones dreams You're right he could be good or he could totally suck as well. If he's performing all the time good for him. Maybe he is selling out arenas or maybe he is some clown on the corner,I don't know dude. If he's been rapping for 20 years and won't say who he is well
You are correct about the tone, we just don't know it. I was just playing the role of the pot calling the kettle black. I'm like you most of the time I post I do it laughing and wondering how people will take it. Lets be honest stirring the pot is fun at times.

OMG dude you do have issues......you make accusations of personal attacks where none exist and now you accuse me of stalking because I made a response to something that you posted on a public message board. Do you have any idea how ludicrous that is???

Please oh pretty please tell me how I am stalking you by replying to a post you made on a public message board? I read and respond to threads that interest me......I have a firm belief that rap music in it's most common form leads to crime and a bad life for youth. Seeing as how I work in a prison I have a vested interest in it...so I've been following the comments in the thread. I replied to your comment because I disagreed with it and found it humorous. Again. *shrug*
I will say that I have a little different view on the rap music thing. I do not think that rap music leads to a life of crime and a bad life for the youth but rather the life of crime and bad life that occurs is reflected in the rap music. I do think the glorification and glamorization of that lifestyle in rap music helps lead to the vicious circle that exists.

For an hilarious 30 minutes of up to date rap star infomation...listen to.. John Gibson's "HIP HOP WEEK IN REVIEW" on Fox Talk on Friday nights at 8:30 PM. John Gibson is the "whitest man in America" but the segment is really well done and funny as Hell!

It doesn't matter to me how good he is or isn't. I see a problem with attacking someone about their talent at something. If rapping is something he loves to do, then good for him. I agree that is foolish of ndutyme to try to compare himself as a rapper to any big name guy. I just think you were out of line.

I didn't compare myself to anybody. The comment was made that rappers are scumbags. My comment was, since I rap, am I a scumbag too?
I believe in my ability, and feel that my skills are better than DMX...just less marketable.
I'll rap til the day I die, whether I make the charts or not. If some find that laughable...I could care less.

Good for you to keep doing what you love. What I was trying to say with that comment was that when people refer to rappers being scum bags they are talking about the big name, famous ones. I doubt that anyone believes that all rappers are scum bags and if they do that is truly pathetic.
If that is in fact the case, then don't make blanket statements. That's my point. There are plenty of big names rappers that aren't in legal trouble and aren't "scumbags"!
Same could be said for republicans and conservatives!
